i have never played online, but i gotta ask. How well does the the vampire factions fare in multiplayer matches? I love playing them in campaign, but in my experience they often struggle A LOT against chaos and dwarphen armies because of their high defense and armor rating and the vampires lack of armour piercing units.
They are one of the best factions in MP because of 2 things: Healing and summons.
In MP healing is the most powerful tool and with Invocation actually regening models and health, it surpasses the lore of life users in that department
The zombie summons are very powerful too, not because of their killingpower but because of their ability to slow down the enemy lord or because summoning thel on top of a lord might make the lorf fight the zombies instead of an important target
Add the fact they have some of the most powerful cav and monsters (blood knights, terrorgheists, verghulf) and a lot of cheap chav and fast movers to hunt down missle units (zombies, dire wolves, fell bats). Lastly add in Mannfred, the blood dragon lord or even strigois who are all strong picks for a lord and you have very good roster capable of beating any army

or would it be better too know your spells or abilities just hit making balancing way easiere and games less throws of the dice
breath attacks have travel time and different properties. A Star dragon breath is accurate and the most damaging vs single entities, while zombie dragon breath is better against blocks of infantry because it has lots of aoe and spread. Morgengrat realized the shaggoths were the biggest threat, so he was right to breath attack them, but he did it from an angle and from far away, instead of directly above where its closer and easier to hit. breath attacks are a skill shot, its good that there is counterplay to them in the form of dodging and positioning

yeah again, this is my job, not just a hobby. warhammer 2 is not the only game i upload, certainly not the only game I play, and not the only thing i do on the computer. i built my old PC 6 years ago, it was time for an upgrade
