I have collected a few RX-78-2s and recently just have gotten the Origin HG version myself albeit unbuilt for now.
Honestly, the Revive has held up the very best, it is super solid and articulation while fairly standard of course is relatively still perfect in terms of for this kit alone, in fact, out of all kits I own and I myself have been building since AGE by the way still the most I have posed because it is that simple yet fun.
Compared to the EG which while of course is slightly cheaper, mine got loose in a matter of weeks and it seems to be a common issue with it so I don't consider it a great beginner kit compared to the Revive but I did exchange it's head and beam sabers onto my Revive and it looks just perfect.

I honestly agree, with the plastic quality of Entry Grade kits, they could be a fun build but the longevity of it’s awful plastic hinders me from recommending them
