I'm so happy you love the recipe. It really is so yummy. I'm glad you found that tip helpful. I'm full of chocolate tips. :) I hope you love the Ninja Creami as much as I do. It's such a game changer!
This recipe was super fast and simple yet the result was fantastic! The only change I made was to switch cocoa with carob powder in order to avoid the oxalates that are present in cocoa products. Thanks much; this will be a go to recipe for sure. 👍
Thank you for asking, Becki! Not yet, but I'm working on getting printable downloads set up. Hopefully I'll have it soon for you and will update the description with it. 😃
The dates add sweetness but also help to thicken the mixture. Adding about 1/3 to 1/2 of a ripe (yellow) banana would be a good alternative as a thickener and then you can add maple syrup until you get to the level of sweetness you like. I would start with 2 tablespoons maple syrup and go from there. If you're not a fan of the banana in there, some cooked Japanese sweet potato would work. I think you'd need about 1/4 cup, but I haven't tested it to give you the exact quantity. I just posted a recipe for a vanilla ice cream using Japanese sweet potato. You definitely wouldn't need the same amount of sweet potato in this recipe because the cocoa helps thicken the mixture as well. I hope this was helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions!
1:16 Just got my Ninja Creami today! This will be my first creation. It looks so good. Thank you! 💜 Edit: 24 hours later. I am so pleased! I have wanted date-sweetened vegan ice cream for years. Now i can make my own. My batch is delicious! Thanks again.
Oh YAY!! I'm so happy you're enjoying it and that it was just what you wanted. Dreams really can come true. 😃 Thank you so much for coming back to share! You made my day! :) Also, are there other things on your wish list to make with your new Ninja Creami? If you have any questions or ideas or things you'd like to see, just let me know.
@SnazzyVeganLife my current plan is to make and eat gallons and gallons of chocolate date ice cream for the rest of my life! 😀 I have subscribed to your channel, and I am looking forward to future videos. Thanks for making them! 💜
You can use any plant-based milk. I wouldn't use just water, but water with almond butter would work. Like 1 to 2 tablespoons per cup of water. Would love to know how it turns out! Enjoy! 😀
Oh what!? I was actually thinking about you when I came up with the idea for this video because I know you don't like smoothies. I thought, oh Kendra is going to love this, no smoothie all ice cream. 😂
The ingredients and amounts appear in the video as I am adding them to the blender. They are also in the description. I hope that helps! Also, here they are... 😀 Vegan Chocolate Ice Cream: * 1 1/2 cups plant-based milk (I use soy milk) * 4-5 large dates (pits removed) * 1/4 cup cocoa powder * 1/4 teaspoon vanilla * Pinch of salt

I'm delighted you enjoyed it! 😀 What a great idea to use carob and good to know that it works well in this recipe. Cheers!
Do you have a printable recipe? Ty.

@@SnazzyVeganLife Tysm!
Instead of dates, could I use maple syrup? If so, how much? Do you think 1/4 cup would be fine?

I'm allergic to soy, what can i use instead?
Can i use water/water with almond butter?
You can use any plant-based milk. I wouldn't use just water, but water with almond butter would work. Like 1 to 2 tablespoons per cup of water. Would love to know how it turns out! Enjoy! 😀
I don’t like
Ice cream, but girl… you make that look so delicious!!!!
Oh what!? I was actually thinking about you when I came up with the idea for this video because I know you don't like smoothies. I thought, oh Kendra is going to love this, no smoothie all ice cream. 😂
@@SnazzyVeganLife I would love it frozen on a stick like a fudge sickle. I make something very similar.
looks so tasty
Thank you, Darren! It was SO GOOD! 😊 I hope you get a chance to make and enjoy it!
I am team cone all day every day... waffle cone specifically!
All day every day 😀 same here! Waffle cones are great. My fave is the wafer cone.
I think you need merch -- that says "so good" -- :)
Totally!! 😀
cup or cone works for me :)
Haha! It's delicious either way. :)
Snazzy Vegan Life, do you wanna collab?
I prefer a cup because I don’t eat it fast enough and it melts every time. 😅
Haha, makes sense. Plus there are more topping options with a cup. :)
Why leave out the most important thing - the list and quantity of the ingredients?
The ingredients and amounts appear in the video as I am adding them to the blender. They are also in the description. I hope that helps! Also, here they are... 😀
Vegan Chocolate Ice Cream:
* 1 1/2 cups plant-based milk (I use soy milk)

* Pinch of salt

probably a two scooper. LOL.
Maybe that's another merch contender! 😁
I like meat 🍖 🥩
But would your put meat in ice cream? I don't think you'd be missing the meat in this recipe. :)
