    I'm always looking at the amount of wood that it takes to form everything up ..and
    then build the house....,,f,,, I could build 2 house out of all that timber. That eventually gets wasted..and all that lost labour

    • @KevinParent248
      @KevinParent248  Месяц назад

      Unfortunately the termites here would eat thru that wood in no time at all

      We did it different, without that much timber. We made the walls first and they were the form for the columns.The house was ready to move in after 85 working days.

      @@livinginthephilippines359 Thanks very fast. I doubt something this big could be that quickly. How big is you house? Filipino house or western style house?

    • @livinginthephilippines359
      @livinginthephilippines359 Месяц назад +1

      @@KevinParent248 It's smaller, I guess. Only 72m² including the terrace. House alone is 8 x 8m. You can see the videos on my channel. I was very happy with the method they used to built it. So we don't have this "double corners" in every corner of the rooms.

      @@livinginthephilippines359nice. The whole house project is 450sqm, so it is substantially bigger. I don't like the columns bedding larger than the walls but my certified architect plans are being followed and I'll have to deal with them the best I can. I'll check yours out as soon as I get a chance. Either way, it's great to be here.

    Kevin goodmorning. question what is the size of your coloms in centimeter , And did you conect all the coloms with a floorbeam?

    • @KevinParent248
      @KevinParent248  Месяц назад

      The perimeter of the house has tie beams. The interior walls will have footings. Footings have a lot less re-rod in them.

    Moving Right along,
    The Cement seams to be lacking on those cinder blocks. Hmmmmm
    Does it all get covered with stucco or something later ?

    • @KevinParent248
      @KevinParent248  Месяц назад +1

      You are correct, it will get a skim coat both interior and exterior. They call it rendering.

    • @JMgmkh
      @JMgmkh Месяц назад +1

      Those blocks are much better than the typical here.

      @@KevinParent248 Well worth it if you don't have someone fixing F ups for a year after it's finished. ( Like I did ).
