This is like when no mans sky first got multiplayer, except this time it’s modders and not the actual devs. Great work from the community again.
That's the example I was using to describe to people what to expect. It's very similar. Or like the early days of Skyrim Together.
What this video doesn't capture is the discord call, where I'm giggling like a little kid.

omg the modders need to get paid. Its sad how the offical team can not put any real big update out but modders add a lot of stuff while being much less people

Dang this has to be best mod
Surprisingly, there is multiplayer code and scripts fully finished in the source code. A friend of mine has been trying to get it to work in-game but it keeps saying something about needing the user to "build." The MP content is like 99% finished and just needs to be implemented and optimized for whatever version of Cyberpunk is used. So technically, CDPR could easily polish it up and ship it right now.
The source code has play-testing tool for launching the servers.

Lol they never said it's impossible there is even multiplayer team in the credits of the game XD They wisely have chosen to not focus on pushing out multiplayer when the base game is still broken.
CDPR never claimed that. They just accepted that there are more important things to work on currently, than the MP aspect of Cyberpunk right now.
That abbreviation is tragic
Let's fix the AI so the game is worth playing before leaping to getting MP working. A mod is only as good as the game it is based on.

So did they managed to do this because of the Cyberpunk 2077 source code leak?
No the mod runs through an independent server. Basically it sends each plays coordinates and shows them on the other plays screen. It's been done with other games in the past. We will see If it develops in the future.
How Cyberpunk doesn't have online ?
CDPR say they are working on soke form of multiplayer in the future but don't hold your breath.

No it's alive because it's stable enough to play especially for new players. and there's alot of players still playing is on console
Dude, its been the highest selling game on the PlayStation store since it’s re-release.
Surprisingly the game hasn’t died but day 1’s are gonna be coming back when there’s better updates
