I'm signing Miles Bridges over trading for Ingram, similar productivity and will be much cheaper due to his off the court issues.
    I'm drafting Reed Sheppard
    I'm resigning Tech
    I'd sign Malik Monk
    Jonas Valanciunas
    Naji Marshall
    Tyas Jones with the MLE
    Cade/Jones/Sasser
    Monk/Ivey/Sheppard
    Tech/Ausar/Grimes
    Bridges/Stewart
    Duren/Jonas

Don't you think we need a big defensive center....keep our 4 young top players...use 5th pick for rim protector an then load up with vets....and give Monte a shot with a healthy unit to work with

I think the ideal offseason is that they only do one longer term (3-4) year contract aside, and then add somebody on a two year.

I think overpaying Monk is Ben Gordon 2.0. It's not going to end well.
Would much rather get Gary Trent Jr over Gary Harris (similar plater, more upside) and Hartenstein over Claxton. Plus sign Tobias.
Gives you proper veterans who can support the young players not just take their spots.
But if you're going to do the Ingram thing + Monk + Claxton then I think you also need to get a real starting guard who can defend -- Cade, Monk, Ingram is not a serious perimter defense -- and be a real playoff team and not just a 35-40 win team.
To me that would be Alex Caruso.
So something like Duren + 5 for BI then Ivey for Caruso and Pat Williams
    Cade, Caruso, BI, Tech, Claxton
Monk, Grimes, Ausar, Pat, Stew and sign Plumlee as your backup five
Then you have BI + Ausar + picks in your back pocket to get a better second star and have a lot of guys just entering their prime

We keep Monty get cp3 oubre trade for mikal bridges stew sasser wiseman on sign and trade the 5th pick 2030 first and Three seconds

    • @michaelahurt
      @michaelahurt 4 месяца назад

@@Jamar-lg9ob 0% chance that is happening. Brooklyn doesn't own their own picks. The only way they _might_ trade Bridges is for a guy who as star potential. Certainly not for three backups and some lottery tickets
Oubre is an absolutely horrendous idea. Have you watched Detroit play basketball? Philly is a good fit for him because Embiid is always away from the basket and gets doubled so Oubre can cut behind or just make straight line drives against a rotating defense. But he's still a bad shooter. He's basically a poor man's Ausar Thompson. Detroit needs to add guys who _can_ shoot not more guys who can't
CP on a mid-level would be good but so have zero faith in Monty. I'd rather bring back the same team with a different coach than bring back Monty

Ivey's a project considering in first 2 years in the league. He's a better overall 3pt shooter than Cade was by every metric. He has a better Fg % than Cade did his first two years. He gotten to the line more than Cade his first 2 years and he's turned it over less than Cade his first 2 years. These guys really know how to push a false narrative. People also talk about Ivey's defense also but it's nearly identical to Cade's defensive statistics. Tell the lieblong enough and people will believe. I just wish people would be objective when talking about this stuff. Trading Ivey and Duren will be a huge mistake by the organization and I would hope when they blossom all these guys who wanted them traded come out say we were wrong and weren't patient. Monk and Claxton the future of the Pistons what a joke.

Ivey will be in the mix for MIP next season after we trade him.
Fans and the Pistons desperately need to believe Cade is an MVP level player. Unfortunately he might get a few All NBA awards.
Ivey looks like a All Star three level scorer passer / playmaker. Not as good as peak Cade but currently has more success in making his teammates better. It could take Cade 5+ years to figure out how to elevate his teammates.

These facts would never be published. It's hysterical how every Pistons media outlet is anti-Ivey all of a sudden. It's almost like it's a consensual propaganda being pushed. Pistons ultimately getting rid of Ivey is fine however Pistons should at least get some value out of him. Advocating for Monk over Ivey is just criminal. Imo Pistons should acquire Zach or Dejounte via exchange for Ivey as Bulls & ATL were interested in him. At least get back a all-star in return. Both deals incentives Pistons to keep the 5th pick so it's beneficial imo on both ends.

Cade didn't play his second year so yeah that checks out but cade is putting up consistent strong performances and I have more faith in cades ability to improve ball handling and turnovers than Ivey on defense I don't want to see Ivey go I feel like he can develop a deadly 3 ball but I don't think the org will wait for it

Cade and Ivey were both in their 2nd years last year by games played. Cade shot a full 2 points better from 3 than Ivey. If Ivey wasn’t on fire, he couldn’t hit a three to save his life, streaky to say the least. I think Ivey needs more time than we can give him, though I do think his potential is fairly high still.

  • @rainbowbabyblog5995

If we get B.I. and Monk, watch out. I think we need to do make Monk an offer he can’t refuse no matter what, but if we traded for Ingram too! Please. I think Monk could be fringe all-star playing next to Cade. Also, no way Monk should play behind Ivey,

    • @michaelahurt
      @michaelahurt 4 месяца назад +1

How exactly? He's in a better situation in Sacramento and isn't close to an All-Star.
You want to bring a movement shooter who excels flying off screens and handoffs to a team that just wants him to stand in the corner and that will make him better? He's not even a particularly good catch and shoot guy. (He's not bad but there are other FA who are better at it.)
And if you're going to put the ball in his hands, just do that with Ivey who has a better first step and is a better finisher.
He's also small, a poor defender and a really bad rebounder

@@michaelahurt better finisher? Ivey? Ivey is really bad at the hoop. If Ivey were good at the hoop, sure but he was so bad in games that he wasn’t on fire, which was 90% of the time.
Because Cade is better than Fox and those two were dynamic.

Looking at the past there are signings and trade you can make for like Rip Hamilitons and Sheeds and then theres signings like Jodie Meeks and Ben Gordons. We can't have a big 3 at this point, but give me a superstar and a 5th round pick or it's all pointless.
