I started to have a small garden, ended up with 200 tomato plants, 125 peppers, 8 rows okra, 7 rows squash… this happens when you have a little tractor and build a little greenhouse and start growing plants from seeds. 🥴I sold some plants, gave some away, I’ll do the same thing with veggies. That’s what you do when you get old. It’s not about you, it’s about others.

make sure that you water those pots a couple of times a day when it gets hot because they dry out real fast and you have a couple of small half inch drain holes so the roots do not rot. also thin out your corn to 6 inch apart, just pull them out and replant them while they are small

Yes, build a stand and pump water into a large tote, run pump almost continuously by solar filling the tank , then water with the tank. Put tank above garden so gravity force will take water to end of hose.

Hey Russell we used to own a garden nursery , and we just watered the pots by hand , hold the hose over each pot , fill it up to the top then move to the next one , by the time you have the last one done , go back to the first one and do it again , they should then be well watered and for your 20 pots should only take about 15-20 min.

Hey Russell, just advice from this member of Ontario Nature, please refrain from touching any wild birds in a nest...or baby deer, baby rabbits etc. You can hear the mother Robin in the background giving the low alarm to the babies. All bird nests are built to size. Those birds all look ready to fledge (leave the nest). Human intervention is not required and usually detrimental. Otherwise, great video. Great to see Ray and the banter. Good fun.

the water will drain and spread through the pot....admittedly the plants nearest the hose will get more water but the others in the pot will get sufficient amounts...note: be aware with your hose syestem that some of the lower plants might get overwatered...would suggest that unfortunately the upper plants may need to be watered by hand or aimed sprinkler to avoid overwatering the lower plants...if possible move your hose off the lower plants as an option

Gidday Ray, what a cool auction house. And no, i never get sick of gardening content.
Have you and city girl ever thought of starting a hugelkultur garden bed, may be worth considering.
Ive mentioned in the past i have a black female lab (Marley) so many similarities to your Junebug. Anyway for years i went through the same deal, ear infections, my golden lab never had the problem. In desperation one day when i couldn't get into the vets i made up a 50-50 mix of filtered water and organic apple cider vinegar with the mother. Although not recommended by the vet, i gave a quick spray in each ear, did this a few times a the problem was resolved. No ear/yeast infections now for 4 or 5 years. Next time you see your vet ask the question? I'd be interested in the response. Great video as usual. Cheers

Would it work to have some plant pots full of dirt and stones and push in a "Y shaped stick and place them between the planted pots and hang the hose just over the potted plants placed running and supported through the "Y of the stick so the water drips on the plants. Just a thought. It is great you walk so much and maybe the weight is developed muscle. You do a great job keeping Willow and June Bug healthy. So wonderful to see someone who cares so well for their furry family members. Thank you for taking us along on your hike in the woods. Great looking sub Russell. Where are the onions? I bet it tasted delicious. You have just given your fans a craving for a sub :)

Vanessa do you mean onions on the sub? My stomach doesn't do well with raw onions.

@@RaspberryRockOffGridCabin Yes, I have extra onions on mine. My husband does not digest onions very well either. So no kisses that day :) Best of look with the garden project. Absolutely love your videos. Lots of interesting adventures and beautiful scenery.
