That’s what happens when you have an undersized/underpowered motor for the application...I have two Engel bait coolers.....a small one and a 30 quart...both pumps are junk in less than one year....they will work with ac adapter but then stop working overnight...so for instance I bought lake shiners at $9.99 per dozen two nights ago...3 dozen I purchased and in the morning all bait was dead....for an $80.00 minnow bucket I expected more...I have purchased a Frabill pump for both and so far so good. I will not buy another Engel product...they should have a recall or swap out for an improved pump.
Thank you for mentioning what to do if motor is not running but has batteries in place. We received two coolers, neither of which the aerators worked upon opening. After watching this video, we tried turning the white gears. They would not budge....not even a little bit. One, after gently playing with the gear, finally gave way and started turning. The second one we had to take the assembly apart to get the shaft to turn that has the smaller white gear. Once that was no longer bound, we put the assembly back together and the motor worked like a charm.
Hey thanks so much! Just came across this and your tutorial was exactly the problem. The motor was moving but no pump. The diaphragm came out of place somehow. Now works great! 💪
Are flow has not been a complaint with the pump and we are happy to evaluate it under our warranty policy to see if yours has a problem. We do offer a 30 day return policy if you purchased directly from Engel. Finally, we also sell a stand alone upgraded lithium-ion rechargeable pro pump.

Mine works on batteries only. Cordslight lites up but only on batteries
My AC adapter works on my pump but it won’t run on batteries. Is there a solution because this pump is only a few months old.
I used mine two times and it won’t push any air out nothing is stuck everything was clean inside won’t pump anything
What about when pump stops working? Was working fine while plugged into receptacle and just quit working. Gear is free

Very low volume. It's a shame they make you trouble shoot their crappy products instead of replacing the pump.

Fuckin trash......it'll run on the plug bit not batteries after maybe 5 uses.
