Hello Gar, this is a fantastic film, the music and photography is the sea fishing equivalent of A Passion for Angling with Chris Yates and Bob James imo, but you do it without a camera crew and a team of editors, you have a real skill and I'm sure all of your subscribers recognise this too. (stack your job and work for a film company) I know exactly what you're saying about hard times as a youngster at christmas time, we never had two bob but I always had a stocking full of tangerines, brazil nuts and a couple of chocolate sweets, we had no money but we had love, and always a proper christmas dinner with crackers. My grandad was a carpenter and he used to make our toys for us. The pictures of you with the small eyed ray are beautiful mate, like a kid holding a kitten 🥰. I did leave a comment on your previous film about your Dad's favourite place but for reasons unknown to me, it was deleted by RUclips??? Thank you for putting your heart and soul into making these beautiful films, they give so much to me, and others, you are a good man. I agree with you, Bull Huss are one of the prettiest fish, but I think the old doggy is too, no one should diss the doggy, tough as old boots and beautiful too. Thank you mate for another masterclass of film making. Don't take too long off mate, we need you! Steve.
Thank you Steve, I appreciate the kind words. I'm not quite sure how I managed to film this one given my position on the rocks, it's one of life's mysteries ha! Yes definitely, Dogfish are beautiful in their own right and I don't mind catching them, they have saved many a blank! That Small Eyed Ray was a little stunner wasn't it, they don't have to be big to be beautiful! Sounds like you had good times at Christmas with your full stockings, it's the little things like this that make us happy I think, along with that love of course. Even if I came into money, I wouldn't buy expensive things as they don't interest me. Hope all is good with you, cheers for watching and enjoy the weekend! 👍😍
Very local Mark to me the centre of the bay fishes if there's a decents swell running while finshing over the razor bed. Further out on the point is a very good Mark. I've had tope from the shore out there also very good bass fishing Very snaggy though
Another cracking video Gareth!! Turned into a real 'fish fest' for you buddy & a real nice watch.... Absolutely stunning surroundings & even with the easterlies, you stuck to your guns & smashed it!! Enjoy your break mate...relax, recharge & come back strong....I'm looking forward to your Christmas special!!! Anyways, take it easy & see y'all soon.... Jon.
Thanks Jon. Yes it was certainly a productive session, made a nice change ha! The wind was challenging to say the least, it just wouldn't calm down but thankfully I got the video done ha! Lovely spot and I'm definitely going back. No doubt my Christmas special will feature a Conger, it's very much on the cards!! Hope all is good your end, take it easy 👍
We are being spoiled with the frequency of these new video drops so a break is well deserved. Excellent quality as always. Keep it up Gareth, it’s appreciated greatly.
Cracking video Gareth , my favorite winter mark , can fish it's head off on the right tide . Carefull on the church rocks if it been raining they turn to glass..
Thanks Mike. Yes what a cracking mark, I probably had 30 odd fish during this session, mostly doggies but I got the impression that anything could turn up. I wanted to fish off the beach but the wind was far too strong, I'll do the beach next time. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
Spectacular location this one Gareth. Loved watching the fishing session , filming and the commentary was so easy to follow. Stress levels are always improved after watching these awesome fishing videos. Thanks again Gareth.
Thank you Pete, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Beautiful place in fairness, it was a pleasure being there and I'll certainly be going back, it has good potential I think. Cheers for watching and thanks for becoming a channel member, much appreciated 👍
Hi Gar great video mate 5 different species, I've never fished Oxwich bay looks a good mark mate sounded like a blower old night mate but some lovely fish stay safe butty look forward to your next video mate best wishes kelvin and son😊
Thanks Kelvin, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Ha yes, that easterly wind was gale force at times, it just wouldn't let up! All good fun though and it was nice to see a few fish, nice session in fairness. Cheers both, enjoy the weekend 👍
I was talking about you the other day to my wife as we were walking along tenbys south beach i remembered watching your tenby vid, she said it would of been nice to bump into you whilst fishing i said the chances of that happening were pretty slim. Im going to watch the rest of your vid now cheers m8
Ah yes, I remember my Tenby South Beach session earlier this year, lovely night that was, and what a lovely place! Loads of my subscribers bump into me, it happens every week and so no doubt we'll cross paths at some point ha! Thanks Anthony, appreciated as always 👍
Hi, As I watched your video, brought back so many memories of Oxwich and surrounding area, have fished that mark many, many time and on your own at night walking passed the Church is spooky with the wind blowing through the trees. Back in the early sixties at about 8 or 9 years old was my first time fishing, in the wetlands behind the Oxwich dunes, we kids used bamboo poles, catching Roach, it was the bug the I caught for fishing, I’ll never forget that day. Later in time around 14 or 15 the older boys or young men used to drag net the bay they won’t let me drag the deep end only the shoreline end, dab, bass, even onetime a Sewin but in those days never dogfish. So Oxwich has been a huge part of my life. Thank so much for this and your other fishing videos 👍👍
You're welcome Martin, I'm pleased that the video brought back some nice memories for you. Sounds like you had great times at Oxwich back in the good old days. I loved the place and I'll definitely be back for another go at some point, what a beautiful place. Thank you for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍
Thanks Andy. Lovely spot in fairness, I can't wait to go back. I'll only be away for a couple of weeks and then normal service will resume. Have a good weekend bud 😀
Hi Gareth what a fabulous video a great fishing venue stunning some nice fish caught have a good rest from filming well earned but not for to long. I just adore your videos & you are a big hearted person thanks mate.
Ah thank you Michael, I appreciate the kind words. Yes this is a beautiful place and I hope to give it another go soon. I'll be back in a couple of weeks and normal service will be resumed, just a little break! Have a good weekend 👍
It certainly was wild Chris, hairy at times ha! A busy session through, the rod tips didn't stop bouncing! Hope all is good with you, enjoy the weekend 👍
Thanks again for another fantastic video and a new mark. Really enjoyed it as I always do. Makes my week watching your videos. You will have to come to black rock again and fish off the grass bank to the left of the engineer statue. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks again Gareth.
Thank you John, I'm pleased to hear that you enjoy the videos. I will definitely be back at Black Rock off the grass bank, I love that place, one of my favourites. Cheese for watching, have a good weekend 👍
That beach at low tide gives a good amount of razorfish with a bit of salt. Fishing off the rocks in the summer gives a good chance of bass and in the winter of the furthest rock mark have seen codling caught. Around the headland to Slade gives some good marks at low tide. Nice video and nice session with not the best conditions. Keep them coming, both vids and fish. That church brings back memories of all the holiday at the local campsite, the lad who used to run the site Malcolm is I believe buried there, you couldn't have met such a nice caring person.
Thanks for the info Jeff, much appreciated. I'll definitely be returning to this spot, what a great place it is, lots of potential. I'm pleased that the video brought back some nice memories for you, sounds like Malcolm was a good bloke. Shame I live so far away from this part of the world, such great fishing marks. Cheers as always, take care 👍
Talking of Christmas, i wrote a letter to Santa asking for any ‘Riverside with me’ merchandise…I hope Santa doesn’t let me down 😉👍🏼 …great video pal, especially because you were on a new mark and out of your comfort zone a little 👍🏼
Well you never know Tony, your Christmas wishes may come true!! Thank you, I was a little gutted when I arrived as that easterly was blowing but thankfully a few fish turned up! Enjoy the weekend 👍
Hi Gareth another grt adventure lovely little ray and yes can't beat the simple life my friend great scenic shots and fantastic choice of music as always Gareth keep well be happy n tight lines till next time😊
Thanks John, I appreciate it. Lovely place in fairness and I'll definitely be returning for another go, later this winter with a bit of luck. Hope all is good with you, take care 👍
Great video Gareth. Couldn`t help noticing how much that little Small Eyed Ray boosted your spirits. Hopefully, next time you fish that mark there will be a big old Bass waiting!
Yes it did Gordon, I thought it was going to be a Dogfish fest ha! A nice session in fairness and what a stunning place and you're right...there could be a lovely Bass lurking! Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍
Nice saying that Simon, I like it. Yes definitely, the small things always provide us with the most pleasure don't they. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Brilliant viewing once again Gareth! ❤ Fair play for fighting through the dogfish. You just never know what’s going to pick up the bait next! All the best mate 🫡
Haha that's a good point Paul, fair play! It was a busy session and what a cracking spot, I'll definitely be going back for another go. Cheers bud, take care now 👍
Very true that Dave, very true. The simple things are the best things. Thank you, it was a lovely session at a lovely spot, I couldn't complain. Take it easy 👍
Lovely video Gareth as usual, enjoy your week off and try to get a peaceful session to yourself without having to lump all of us around with you, will look forward to your next posting
Thanks Ronnie, much appreciated. Ha yes, I'll have a little break from the filming but I'll be back in a couple of weeks. Hope all is good with you, have a nice weekend 👍
Excellent video again Gareth , loved it. You need a good break to be fair mate , its hard work keep setting up all the camera equipment and the rods + filming and then editing. You just unwind for a bit , chill out and come back freash . Good luck my friend .
Thank you Mick, appreciated as always. Ha yes, it's not easy to be honest, infact it's exhausting at times, I must be a glutton for punishment! Cheers bud, a little break and I'll be back...have a good weekend 👍
Gareth just watched your Oxwich trip brings back memories when we use to go there on holidays caught my first place where you fished great show keep on going thanks for the memories.
Thank you Rich, I'm pleased that the video brought back some good memories for you. Lovely mark isn't it and I can't wait to give it another go at some point. Cheers for watching, much appreciated 👍
Another great watch, there Gareth. Great session and a lovely mark to be fair. I don’t blame you for taking some time off, you put a lot of time and effort throughout your videos, including humping all the gear to your mark in the first place. But, having said that, it shows in the quality of your work mate, thanks for another class Friday night watch👍
Thank you Wayne, I appreciate the kind words. Yes it's a cracking mark and I'm definitely going to give it another go, hopefully before the end of the year! Cheers bud, I'll have a little break but I'll be back in a couple of weeks. Have a good weekend 👍
Another very watchable video, I really enjoyed. Oxwhich Bay and Three Cliffs are wonderful venues to visit, even if you are not a fisherman. The Beachouse Resturaunt is exceptional and a great experiance eating local produce, at a price mind you! Great work Gareth I'm a fan.
Thanks Adam, much appreciated. Yes I agree, they're just nice places to visit, even if it's for a pleasant walk. I haven't tried that restaurant but I'll bear it in mind for when I'm next down the Gower. Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍
Grt vid as always gar , fished there as a boy with my dad, not been back to fish it in 45yrs ,must get myself sorted and Ave a go , your vid has inspired me to get back down there , ,thankyou 😊
Thank you John, much appreciated. Ah yes, give it another go, what a cracking mark it is, lots of potential I think. I bet you have some good memories of when you fished it with your Dad. Have a good weekend 👍💪
Great vlog again, enjoyed it very calming the music, passion. Thank you. Gareth love to your family ❤️🇫🇷.... Enjoy your little break.. Try to chill.. ❤️🇫🇷
Another fantastic watch Gareth, and a cracking location, the views, the music, the wildlife and of course the fishing all combined make this a video that is appealing to a broad range of people, cracking mate, Enjoy the break and recharge the batteries, Thanks for sharing it with us, Take care 🎣👍
Thank you Nigel, nice of you to say. It's a cracking mark in fairness, a very special part of the world. I think anything could turn up here, it has that potential you know. I'm hoping to go back later this year, will see what's about then. Hope all is good with you, have a nice weekend 👍
Ah yes, I just missed spider crab season but I guess there's always next year ha! Thanks bud, I can't wait to give it another go, great place. Cheers 👍
Like the rest of your videos Gareth this video is excellent and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching it enjoy your well earned rest and i am eagerly waiting for your next one please keep them coming a fellow fisherman from Swansea
Thank you Martin, I appreciate that. I'm definitely going to return to Oxwich, what a beautiful place. I'll have a little break from the filming but I should be back in a couple of weeks. Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍
Great Bass beach in the summer ..spent many sessions off the church rocks .keep walking past the curch till you find a gap in the hedge leading onto some nice size rocks .thanks for the video and we'll done on the 5 species
Thanks Chris, I appreciate it. Yes I fancied going a little further along but the wind was too strong unfortunately and so I settled for the rocky area directly below the church. I'll look forward to going back, I loved the place. Enjoy the weekend 👍
Great video yet again! I am slowly catching up with your back catalogue. Who needs strictly😂. Ican identify with your views on "the old days"keeplife simple....absolutely. 👍
Haha thanks bud, I'm pleased to hear that you chose the video over strictly 😂. Yes I preferred the old days for many reasons, the simpler way of life suited me better. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
A really nice session Gareth, not often we get 5 species! Thanks for remaining so calm in difficult conditions and making me laugh- especially with the ‘no comment’ on the double doggies mess… 😂 Enjoy the break 😊🎣
Thanks Andy, it was a really enjoyable session, nice to see a good variety of species. Haha yes, the doggies were out there in force and my rigs were often trashed! Cheers for watching, look after yourself 👍
Thanks Gareth good fishing and tight lines again, you always give us encouragement not to give but try your best , well done on the great selection of fish you caught
Thank you Nigel, I appreciate that. It was a lovely evening in fairness, what a beautiful place. I'm hoping to go back before the end of the year. Enjoy the weekend 👍
Awesome video again mate. Well done on the fish. Haven't had chance in a while to get out myself, but watching your videos making me itch to get back out catching some fish.
Great video Gareth! When I was a kid we used to rent a caravan there, I loved it. Crabbing with my Uncles, picking mussels and winkles. The shoals of mackerel used to go up and down the beach boiling. There used to be Brit everywhere in the water. Great days!
Thanks Ian. Sounds like you have some great memories of the times you spent here, memories which will last a lifetime. Ah yes, one of the locals was telling me about the Mackerel shoals back in the day, bet that was an awesome site! Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
Thank you Thomas, appreciated as always. Yes it's a great mark and I think it has lots of potential, I suspect anything could turn up! Cheers for the PayPal donation, very kind of you, I shall put this towards some bait!! Take it easy bud, enjoy the weekend 👍
It certainly is magical Dai, I loved it. Yes I bet you have some great Oxwich memories, these memories will last a lifetime. Thank you for watching, much appreciated 👍
Lovely video, plenty of fishing action, great venue , you're a very lucky fella and thanks for sharing. I've not fished for 25 years and literally gave my equipment away to a very good customer of mine, I've equipped myself with some cheap gear , just collected a car( not driven since covid) so I can travel and get some fishing done. Thanks buddy you saved me from becoming an old guy with a blanket wrapped around my legs . 😅😅
Thanks bud, I appreciate it. Great to hear that you're getting back into your fishing, good for you! I need fishing in my life, I don't know what I'd do without it ha! Cheers for watching and tight lines! 👍🐟
Cracking watch Gareth mate, lovecthe scenery and your concern and approach to the new mark, and fish caught so well done mate. If one day my channel becomes half as good as yours I will be extremely happy. Tight lines buddy.
Thank you John, appreciated as always. I enjoyed this one, such a beautiful place in fairness and I'll definitely go back at some point. Yes I'm sure your channel will do well, just keep doing what you're doing. Cheers bud, enjoy the weekend 👍
Made my weekend again gareth BRILLIANT session and five species ,and the no comment on the woof woofs !😊 funny ,thank you for all your efforts I find it hard these days just getting too marks with fishing gear never mind cameras and stans etc ,im 66 but you keep fit fishing through life man and boy ,keep safe lad !!mark cdf x
Thanks Mark, it was certainly an entertaining session, the rod tips didn't stop bouncing! Ha yes, filming a fishing session is certainly tiring, I'm a glutton for punishment! But as you say, it keeps us fit, it really does. Hope all is good with you, have a nice weekend ❤️
Thank you Brian, I appreciate it. Yes that's it, I don't mind catching doggies, they have saved many a blank for me over the years. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Relaxed and de-stressed again Gareth , thank you. I always think that the blue colouration of a conger in your lights makes it a beautiful fish to see. I loved that pair of doggies doing their level best to ruin your rig. "No comment " 😂 Have a nice break mate and thanks for the vid , I will close my eyes now , put on my sleep sound of waves and drift off thinking about you fishing.
Thank you Jeff, it was a pleasant evening in fairness. Yes the Congers are beautiful, that blue colour running through their fins is something else! I'll have a couple of weeks off now and then I'll be back, with more videos hopefully! Hope all is good your end...have a nice weekend 👍
Cracking session! Even managed another conger! I want to shout at the screen when I see the rods going behind you 😂. What's the access like down there, parking etc? Thanks for taking the time and effort to make such a watchable video. Cheers!
Haha thanks Martin, I missed loads of bites that evening, I probably missed more than I caught but that's filming for you. Access is easy, it's all quite flat. Parking is in the main Oxwich Bay carpark, although I understand that time restrictions have recently been put in place. Failing that, you can stay in one of the caravans at the Oxwich Bay Hotel, they are cheaper during winter and only a 3 minute walk to the beach. Cheers 👍
Great session there Gareth. WOWWWWWW . Loved that little small eyed ray. Loved the epic footage mate and editing. Really well done Gareth. Cracking session 👌
Thank you Neil, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Lovely spot in fairness and it was a productive session to say the least! I'll definitely be giving this place another go. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Great session Gareth and brilliant filming as usual. Yes you're right about Xmas, I was one of nine children, so we never had a lot, but we appreciated it! Enjoy your break and have a lovely weekend 😘
Thank you Patricia. Wow, one of nine children, now that's a big family! As you say, what we had we appreciated and Christmas was always a special time. Have a good weekend and take care 👍
Awesome video Gareth mate and what a good spot you had there mate and to top it off with five species thats Absolutely Fabulous mate take it easy and have a cracking weekend mate👍🙂🎣
Thank you Simon, it certainly is a cracking spot and I can't wait to go back. It was a lovely session in fairness, the wind was a challenge but it was nice to see some different species. You too bud, have a good one 👍🐟
That's a nice session despite the plague of doggies I was wondering all those rocks and clumps of bladder wrack seems like a good spot to find peeler crabs have you ever had a look for them when you go fishing they always used to give me more luck with flatfish and bass. See you when you have had a break in the meantime I still have lots of catching up to do maybe you should just have a nice day fishing without the cameras many thanks mate
Thanks Daniel, it was an enjoyable evening at a lovely location, I couldn't complain. I have collected peeler crab in the past although I had plenty of bait with me for this one. To be honest, the dogfish would have been on it straight away ha! I'll have a little break from the filming but I should be back in a couple of weeks. Hope all is good with you, cheers for watching 👍
Thank you Leighton, nice of you to say. Stunning mark is this one, what a place! I'll be back in a couple of weeks, not too long. Cheers bud, enjoy the weekend 👍
Cracking video bud, great intro and outro lol, brilliant session, lovely fish and plenty of them, (I would of been shattered) enjoy your time off bud you deserve it for sure, 3 tripod's 😂 I couldn't cope with one, have a great weekend pal... Take care and God bless you and your family
Thanks John, it was a busy evening to say the least, working with those three tripods kept me on my toes ha! An enjoyable session at a beautiful place, I couldn't really complain. You too bud, have a good one and take care 👍😍
Another great video as always Gareth. The simple life is the best I think. We always seem to appreciate the simple things in life nice to see a few bonus fish to come out but just being out is the main thing. It’s not until we can’t do it that we realise how lucky we really are. I’m missing it at the moment can’t wait to get back to it hopefully. Thanks as always for your time and effort don’t leave it too long before your back.
Yes definitely Steve, the simple pleasures in life always provide us with the most joy, I have no interest in materialistic things, they do nothing for me. Yes you'll be back out there, no doubt about it and it will be something for you to look forward to! Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
Thank you Andy. Ah nice, I'm pleased to hear you had great Christmases. Wouldn't surprise me if some of our presents were second hand, it would make sense, great times. Enjoy the weekend 👍
Great content yet again Gareth loved the snails on the rocks and the small eyed ray was perfection in minature and a bullus thats always welcome dount now about walking back through the churchyard mind take care have a chilled weekend 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks bud, always appreciated. Ha yes, I was a little edgy when walking past the graveyard, especially as it was pitch black! Lovely mark in fairness and I can't wait to go back. You too, have a good one 👍
absolutely cracking session again mate, smashed it. lovely place it is too, glad to see you catching, i’ve been blanking a lot as of late lol, as always can’t wait for the next 👍🏻
Thank you Keiran, it was a busy evening, that's for sure ha! Lovely place though and I will be going back at some point. Well I'm definitely due a blank next time, it's very much on the cards!! Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
Just like the rest of the world Gareth, Fake it till you make it, in my 60s and still faking it, but don't tell anyone for goodness sake Gareth, they will all want some, I always found a good laugh just as good as medicines, have you read that old book yet Gareth, Foot of the Cliff, by I lean Dover, just keep on keeping on Gareth and the best to you and your family, and all the viers on your channel. Jim from Scotland sorry about the Dad joke but had to keep it clean 🤣🤣🤣
Aye that's it Jim, nothing wrong with faking it, or blagging it as I say ha, I've been blagging it for many years! Laughter is most certainly the best form of medicine, no doubt about it, just a shame that I'm so miserable 😂. I'll look out for that book, there must be a book shop nearby! Hope all is good with you, have a nice weekend 👍
Great video from a new mark mate did you keep looking over your shoulder when you heard weird noises haha enjoy your few weeks off from filming and look forward to seeing you back again with the next video
Haha yes, me too! It was made worse when the trees were blowing in the wind, a little spooky to say the least! A nice session though, I was certainly kept busy! Cheers bud, have a good weekend 👍
Fished the church rocks at Oxwich 5 years ago after a blow and had a great session there along with a few local lads. First fish caught was a Bull huss, then 4 smooth hounds, strap conger, doggies galore, flounder galore, lost a good bass. Lugworms on beach and a great feeding zone for the rays.. Visited there with a friend 4 months ago but the sea wall has been been repaired so access is now through the trees alongside the church. Parking is on the beach car park but I wish there was a easy route to the Point with the nice rock marks for the bass...... Nice session there, Gareth, a must for good boots with grip. 😊Tight lines bud.
Sounds like you had a great session there Frederick when you last fished it, action-packed! It was my first time here and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I'll certainly be going back for another go, hopefully later in the year. I was tempted to fish the point but the wind was too strong unfortunately, that easterly just wouldn't calm down! Thanks for the info and thanks for watching, much appreciated 👍
Thanks Ian, much appreciated. Yes good call, I have fished Three Cliffs quite a few times and I love it there, will have to go back soon. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
You got to target the tope at low water at Broughton in the Loughor estuary from May to October when the the tide starts flooding bass in abundance, flounders, plaice and the Tope will test your tackle.... The veteran and deceased Clive Gammon from Swansea taught us as school boys about his fishing exploits on the Gower peninsula. The tope could be finicky on some tides so Clive, being a marine biologist gutted a tope to see what it it was feeding on.... Surprise, surprise, it was full of small flounders so he'd buy plaice from the fish mongers to land his targets with success along with the bass running up the surf.... He wrote some great books on fishing and published the Wales angling guide before emigrating to the USA.... RIP Clive and thanks for the knowledge. ❤
Aye I know that feeling bud, work usually gets in the way doesn't it. Thank you, I'd like to think, he loved his fishing. Cheers as always, take care 👍
Dreaded easterlies.🙈 still had a cracking session, though, Gareth. Nice variety of species, too. Appreciate all the effort you put into your videos. Enjoy your break from fishing. Looking forward to your next session.🎣
Oxwich fishes well on a Easterly swell/wind in the centre of the bay with razor over the razor bed. It's a local mark excellent on its day for bass a flounder
Thanks Ian. Ah yes, that wind was blasting through all night, thankfully a few fish turned up ha! Cracking mark, I couldn't believe that I had the entire bay to myself, unbelievable to really! Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍
Thanks Matt, appreciated as always. What a cracking spot, can't believe I'd not fished it before! Hope all is good with you and the family. We all miss your videos. Take care bud 👍😍
Oxwich bay..now that takes me back to the late 50's when my parents took us there for a number of years on camping holidays, the 1st time in a huge army surplus tent in Greenways field, long before the sites that are there now, sand dunes were there before the huge car park, there was a small car park just before you reached the church. We used to dig lug worm on the beach, fished there with my dad from the beach and the rocks, we used to walk from behind the church a long way to Oxwich point for bass fishing using a float in the gullies, good bass fishing those days, ah good memories! Thank you Gar for your great videos.
Thank you for the comment Baz, I enjoyed reading it. Sounds like you have some great memories from back in the day, I bet it looked a lot different then. I was half tempted to fish the point myself but the wind was a little too strong unfortunately and so I settled for the church rocks instead. Nice session in fairness and I'm looking forward to going back. Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍
Thanks bud, appreciated as always. Cracking spot and I'm hoping to go back later this year, that's the plan anyway! Cheers for watching, have a good week 👍
Hello Gar, this is a fantastic film, the music and photography is the sea fishing equivalent of A Passion for Angling with Chris Yates and Bob James imo, but you do it without a camera crew and a team of editors, you have a real skill and I'm sure all of your subscribers recognise this too. (stack your job and work for a film company)
I know exactly what you're saying about hard times as a youngster at christmas time, we never had two bob but I always had a stocking full of tangerines, brazil nuts and a couple of chocolate sweets, we had no money but we had love, and always a proper christmas dinner with crackers.
Thanks for the info Sam. I'll definitely be going back at some point for another session, I loved the place to be honest. Cheers 👍
Another great video, enjoy your time off. See you when we see you, all the very best!
Thank you Ben, much appreciated. I'll be back in a couple of weeks. Enjoy the weekend 👍
That's proper hard core, fishing into that cold easterly then in the dark. Appreciate the effort you make for your fans. Thanks again.
Ha yes, this wasn't an easy one to film, all good fun though and it was a nice session, I couldn't complain. Thanks Colin, take care 👍
Another great video. Loved that church footage. God bless you

Thanks bud, nice of you to say, much appreciated. An enjoyable session in fairness, I couldn't grumble. Cheers 👍
We are being spoiled with the frequency of these new video drops so a break is well deserved. Excellent quality as always. Keep it up Gareth, it’s appreciated greatly.
Thank you Paul. Yes I'll have a little break now but I'll be back in a couple of weeks, not too long. Hope all is good with you, take care 👍

Thank you Andy. Yes I agree, what a beautiful place and I can't wait to go back! Have a nice weekend 👍
Always fish that bay in the dark mate. Wind could be a barstwerd. But I love Chappel rock as a mark
Yes that wind was a challenge Mark, it just wouldn't drop ha! Lovely place isn't it and I can't wait to give it another go. Cheers bud, take care 👍
Hi Gareth, Thanks for another great video you do enjoy your fishing.Enjoy your break but dont stop away to long.😁😁 All the best mate.
What a session, great mix of fish, surprised boat rod didn’t come up trumps again. Looked wild out there. Brilliant video as always

Thanks Glyn. Yes I agree, I'll definitely be giving it another go! Cheers as always 👍
In the sixties among other species my dad and uncles would sometimes catch turbot on the Gower though not very large ones
I bet the fishing was great back then Ronald, I wish I was around then. I bet you have many special memories 👍
You're so right about the simple things in life, Gar. As the old saying goes : 'Enjoy the small things because, really, they're the big things'.
Thanks mate, it was a lovely session and I was quite shocked that I managed to get through the dogfish shoals ha! Cheers for watching and take care 👍
So what happened to the saying…when the wind blows east the fish bite least😂 Great session in a great part of the country Gareth 👍
Haha that's a good point Paul, fair play! It was a busy session and what a cracking spot, I'll definitely be going back for another go. Cheers bud, take care now 👍
No blanks and a good session, thank you for sharing. The good things that really matter in life cannot be bought
Very true that Dave, very true. The simple things are the best things. Thank you, it was a lovely session at a lovely spot, I couldn't complain. Take it easy 👍

Great video Gareth on holiday in lanzarote but got up early to watch this morning.
Thank you Bruce, I appreciate that. Hope you're having a good holiday, take it easy 👍

Thank you Nigel, nice of you to say. It's a cracking mark in fairness, a very special part of the world. I think anything could turn up here, it has that potential you know. I'm hoping to go back later this year, will see what's about then. Hope all is good with you, have a nice weekend 👍
Love oxwich Gareth , especially during spider crab season the bass go mad 😁
Ah yes, I just missed spider crab season but I guess there's always next year ha! Thanks bud, I can't wait to give it another go, great place. Cheers 👍

Nice 1 m8 very busy night well done 😎👌🎣
Thanks bud, it was certainly an enjoyable evening. Lovely place in fairness and I'll look forward to going back.
Haven't had chance in a while to get out myself, but watching your videos making me itch to get back out catching some fish.

just come back from walking the dogs and saw this, cracking friday destress. thoroughly enjoyed it Gar, keep it up.
Thanks bud, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It was an enjoyable night in fairness, I couldn't grumble. Have a good weekend 👍
Amazing video mate as always 👍🏻👍🏻 looks a cracking mark to be fair and the scenery looks cracking. Thanks for another cracking Friday night watch !!!
Thank you Thomas, appreciated as always. Yes it's a great mark and I think it has lots of potential, I suspect anything could turn up! Cheers for the PayPal donation, very kind of you, I shall put this towards some bait!! Take it easy bud, enjoy the weekend 👍

Thank you Nick, I appreciate your continued support, much appreciated. Enjoy the weekend 👍
Hi Gareth nice video again keep up the good work take care
@philipdawson84 Thank you Philip, much appreciated. Hopefully more to come soon with a bit of luck. Cheers 👍
A good session Gareth, doggies are always welcome to keep you on the watch. Love the Intros and camera work, tight lines and good luck.
Thank you Brian, I appreciate it. Yes that's it, I don't mind catching doggies, they have saved many a blank for me over the years. Cheers for watching, take care 👍
Fantastic video, I love Oxwich
@@dennis.the.drummer Thank you Dennis, much appreciated. I'll definitely be going back for another go. Cheers 👍
Another brilliant fishing session Gareth well done also stunning scenary ,the church looks great 👍
Thanks Carl, it's a cracking spot, can't believe I never fished it until now! Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍
Relaxed and de-stressed again Gareth , thank you.
I always think that the blue colouration of a conger in your lights makes it a beautiful fish to see. I loved that pair of doggies doing their level best to ruin your rig. "No comment " 😂
Have a nice break mate and thanks for the vid , I will close my eyes now , put on my sleep sound of waves and drift off thinking about you fishing.
Thank you Jeff, it was a pleasant evening in fairness. Yes the Congers are beautiful, that blue colour running through their fins is something else! I'll have a couple of weeks off now and then I'll be back, with more videos hopefully! Hope all is good your end...have a nice weekend 👍
Great video lots of fish well filmed
Thank you Colin, it was an enjoyable evening in fairness. Cheer for watching, take care 👍
Your a battler gareth that wind sounded awful, another great watch and the production is certainly up there
That wind was a nightmare Andrew, almost gale force at times. Nice session though, I couldn't complain. Cheers as always 👍
Gareth it's a pleasure to watch and listen to you enjoy the break 👌👍
Thank you Leighton, nice of you to say. Stunning mark is this one, what a place! I'll be back in a couple of weeks, not too long. Cheers bud, enjoy the weekend 👍
The wind noise is part of the authentic atmosphere.
Yes I agree John, it is what it is. Thank you for watching, take care 👍
Great video Gareth as always, so many dog fish but kept you busy. Enjoy your break.
Thanks Richard, it was an enjoyable evening, the water must have been black fish that evening, all be it mostly dogfish ha! Enjoy the weekend 👍
Awesome as ever can totally relate to what you was talking about Christmas of old 👍
Thanks Dean, I'm pleased to hear that you found the Christmas chat relatable. Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍
Great effort again gareth we had second hand presents in the 70s did not realize until we were older but had wonderful christmases

Thanks Rob, I appreciate it. Nice session in fairness, I couldn't grumble. Cheers for watching 👍
Thx again Gareth great video. Evoked a lot of good memories for me. Enjoy your break and happy fishing 🎣
Thank you Neil, much appreciated. I'm pleased the videos brought back some nice memories for you, that's great. Enjoy the weekend 👍
Nice to see you had a good session mate . I hope you have a great weekend and many great fishing adventures in the future. Tight lines.
Thanks bud, it was a lovely session in fairness, a busy one ha! You too, have a good one and take care 👍
As always bud a great watch keep up the good work
Thanks bud, appreciated as always! What a lovely place, I can't wait to give it another go. Cheers 👍
Nice session there Gareth keep it uk
Thanks Roy, it was a busy one ha! I'll be hitting the mud soon! Enjoy the weekend 👍
Hi Gareth, Nice one, You might find Three Cliffs more sheletered in an easterly but it is a bit of a walk in from the road.
❤️
haha doggies 🐶 havent managed to get out much myself too much going on. your dad would be proud .
Ohhhh brilliant Gareth. I always wondered how Oxwich would fish. Can’t wait to check this out later 👍🏻 happy days ❤
Thanks Chris, it's a lovely mark in fairness, lots of potential I think as there's a good variety of species. Cheers as always, take care 👍
