Awesome, Love the zzw30 as well! I have a 1997 2nd gen sw20 so I'm always stoked to see people enjoy the mr2 platform. Everything you've posted thus far has been right up my alley so looking forward to anything you decide to put out.
I had a Crazy Awesome Dual P4 PC in 2k4 for my CAD Design at work in Na$hville after highschool. Windows XP Sp3 with 2 GIANT! 27" Trinitron Monitors. Made for a Killer QUAKE 3 Arena setup at Lunch Breaks LOL
Yoo I'm really glad to see you passed the 1k mark! Congrats :D Your content has improved quite a bit and it's amazing seeing you grow and learn so much! I really do look forward to future content :D I realized that we both actually have nearly exactly the same GPU here. I just yesterday put together a retro gaming PC for games from 1990 - 2000. It's a Pentium 4 machine running 512MB RAM and an ATI Radeon 7000 (Not sapphire though) card with Windows XP Installed. I'd like to ask, where did you find the drivers for your card? I did some searching and the only place I could find drivers that installed on Windows XP SP2 was from some website called driverscape. I originally wanted to put a Gigabyte GeForce 6200 in the machine but the moment I installed any drivers my monitor would lose signal and the machine would lock up, I thought maybe they just didn't like Windows XP so I spent 2 painful hours installing Windows Vista and after attempting a driver install, windows would BSOD with code 0x85 (Hardware Problem). I'm hoping maybe it's just some broken/cracked solder joints or something causing this, I'd hate to declare the card as dead :(
I love GOG. I'm planning on turning one of my old thin clients into a win XP gaming rig. I still got some of my older CDs and whatnot. I wish I had the room for a CRT. Fixing stuff and retro PC stuff is cheap to a point. My expensive hobby is firearms so having something I can do cheaply is fun.
That's a really cool setup you've got here! Sometimes I just wish to make a sleeper battlestation that looks like an early 2000s case (and maybe even with a CRT monitor or two, just like this one), but is actually a modern PC that does good in modern games
I have a similar viewsonic monitor, I found it in an alley by my house with an acer crt monitor, both had there vga cables cut, I was able to solder new ones on tho
I never had two CRTs, sadly, but at one point I had a CRT and a VGA flatscreen. It was a bit ghetto by today's standards but at the time I felt very futuristic.
I just realized like two years ago that biggest issue between person and retrogaming is the monitor - modern monitors just don't display old games in the same manner as old do. And many bugs and issues come from attempts to run old games in resolutions and formats they are not designed for. I legit use Windows 11 and old CRT on my main PC and so far only game that didn't want to run on this machine, was Nox. Which was kinda finicky even when it was new, so eh...
Great video! I to love old PC's, have a Couple Dell Optiplex 790's with the i7-2600 K 3.40 GHZ's i use more than my new Ryzen Computer XD and it actually run's Fairly new games pretty good. a Old Hp Prodesk 400 G1 sff, i3-4160 the HP i bought new years ago, and the two Optiplex's where given to me in trade for a Spare Phat PS2 i had. No RAM/HDD in either of them. But i have old PC ram and SSD's about so XD As for CRT's, i went through those things when they where the only choice, i can't use them anymore for long, they give me a splitting headache What can ya do tho? ¯\_(ヅ)_/¯ Keep up the Awesome Work, Can't wait to see more vid's!
That's how i got a few old Compaq and IBM computers and a monitor from an abandoned office, but in my case the CRT monitor did not work,it sounded like something was sizzling inside it with no visual damage but i'm pretty sure it was dropped and shock probably damaged the tube
Windows xp had dual monitor even back when it was officially released on October 25 2001 im not sure why your acting like we are just now figuring this out this is not something new or groundbreaking technology in the world of computers dual monitor support has been around since the late 1980’s and early 1990’s with it becoming mainstream in 1998 with the release of windows 98
People did use dual monitors back then, but not really. It wasnt even too terribly mainstream until 2008 or so, im a bit surprised XP supports it, when even "high end" oses like Linux, MacOSX, and IRIX lack proper support
@@DigiSpaceProductions its mainstream but not everyone has big enough bank accounts to buy 5 to 10 monitors for a multi display setup linux does have proper support dual monitors provided you buy the right cables and adapters one prime example linux having proper dual monitor support is the steam deck its a linux based operating system and it can do dual monitors easily some old linux os's may not have proper support because the devs no longer work on them also windows linux and mac os are fundamentally different os's 2 of the three being developed and maintained by 2 of the bigest computer manufacturers in the world being microsoft and apple which windows and mac os Here's the current breakdown of the market share for these operating systems: Windows (Microsoft): Around 67% macOS (Apple): Approximately 5.66% Linux: About 1.58% Linux does have a smaller user base, but it's still widely used, especially in servers, supercomputers, and by those who prefer open-source software i think linux it does because it has so many different versions of it self and if your a linux user like me you know that with most linux distros as user theres more tinkering involved in using linux and everything in linux involves using terminal which not a lot of people like to do most prefer a gui for everything which windows offers
you dont even have to configure dual monitor feature through terminal you just plug the display cable in and the system automatically detects it and starts sending video signal over to it along with your others monitors
Ballin at low cost. Fr though, that dude that said "take whatever old stuff you want" is like a dream of mine
You are improving in leaps and bounds. Keep up the great work, and congrats on breaking the 1K barrier!
wake up babe, new happychoice just dropped

Waiter, waiter! another Happychoice98 Banger!!!
"Take whatever old stuff you want", I'd have a massive storage truck coming right in at that moment. I'm grabbing *everything*

Gof thats an epic setup
fellow 009 ss enjoyer.... 😨
that setup looks so sick im sure any poor 2000s accountant would've loved to have used something like that. keep it up!!
I can only imagine how awesome owning 2 CRT monitors back in the day was. I only ever had a single Lite-ON CRT before replacing it with a LCD.
That's a lovely setup, reminds me of some good memories.
wow and peace be upon you sir from me
great video my guy, and congrats on your first thousand subs!
Nice video! You deserve more attention then you get:)
you have improves a lot. keep up these videos and congrats on the 1k
Nice one! I have the 1024x600 AOC monitor lying in my warehouse awaiting further use!
Now I wanna see a sleeper PC that has a setup like this with a Windows XP XFCE rice on it.
been enjoying the videos, hope you keep the momentum going!!🙂

Ah yeah, two CRT monitor setup, the one thing I never get hahaha. Anyways, good video

I know the Deus Ex main menu when I see it!
That's a nice setup. I might try build a setup like that one day.
Love your editing style! It’s so fun to see old tech and learn from your videos 🫶 (RAHH POSTAL 2 EVEN MENTIONED!!!)
I actually have a complete Gateway tower that has an AGP video card (if I recall) that's yours if you're interested. Located in southeast Virginia.
I too want to be friends knowing you're into cars and computers haha
Bro wait you got a mr2 WITH THE UWU???
Great video!

Wish I can go there to get whatever's left, I'm just about on the coast here in NC though so it's a good ways away :(
A couple years ago I managed to get two matching IBM e74 monitors for free, the place I as working for was throwing them out
Awesome as! Did you go back to the place again?

Now that’s cool 😎😎😎
My dad had 5 screens on his XP desktop as his graphics card could do it.
