Spot on review. I put the pilot sport 5 on mine and have found 30psi at the back and 32 at the front helps calm the bouncy suspension and pothole shockwave a treat. Only negative on mine is the lane assist, which takes control of the steering when I don’t want it to and actually feels dangerous. Overall though, it’s definitely the most fun I’ve ever had on four wheels!
Nice review. I owned an Up GTi for nearly a year and really enjoyed it. A couple of easy mods that I thought improved the aesthetics was fitting some genuine aluminium pedals and also replacing the orange indicator bulbs with some Phillips silver vision.
12:38 about a month ago i travelled with my mate from aberdeen to towcester for silverstone in about 9-10 hours of constant driving/stops and traffic on the m6. All done in a farmer beaten up! tsi brimmed with us 2, food n camping supplies. Surprisingly comfortable ride both ways for such a basic car
Have owned my GTI from new, bought in November 2018. Excellent review, first replacement part 2 weeks ago, screen wash pump. No mechanical issues in 44k miles. My has sunroof and parking sensors, stupidly I did not get the height adjuster on the passenger seat, my wife always complains about that. I changed the original tyres, they were Goodyear's and very harsh riding, I have Yokohama advan flavas, much better! I also put Bilstein shocks on it, made the ride and handling much better. The car has been brilliant to own, drive, and to transport stuff in. They will become cult cars, values are holding now that they are no longer made.
Hey, thanks for watching! There should be, I haven't be able to test. However, for any adult the back seats can be a bit cramped and are best suited to shorter journeys.

Baby GTI 👶
Excellent video. Having had the GTI for 5 years would you have still bought the 5 door version as opposed to the 3 door version for your needs?
Thanks! Yes 100%, it definitely feels more practical and being able to put shopping behind the seats is super useful 👍
Does the VW UP GTI have a timing chain or a cambelt?
@@Redbaron8779 Hey, yes it does
@@Redbaron8779all UPs have cambelt
@@theinterfacecarswhich didn’t actually answer the question. It’s a dry running cambelt by the way.
I have a 2019. Have you had to talk about the timing belt yet, Alex?
Hey Mike, thanks for watching! I forgot to mention it in the video, but the timing belt was done at some stage this year.
5 years like all cars with belt or 80k
@@1family473incorrect - vw updated their official info recently that no replacement required
Doesn't look like there's as much space in the back as I was hoping, any chance of getting a 6ft tall+ person in the back?

Can you fit a bike in the car with the front wheel removed?
if you put the back seats down i’m sure you could fit it in there sideways
