      Oh, thank you, Angie, not a dull moment since I've been back. I brought your weather home with me. And no A.C. Garden was keeling over. Been so busy. Worked till dark last night, but didn't start till 6PM cause it was so hot and humid. Packed day today. TTYL

We are busy today too, such is the life of true gardener. So fun!!

      Sounds wonderful! Heat wave continuing here. Put in 5 hours this AM, at least 8 between Mon & Tues. Now, for editing.

      Thank you, Janice! It took me a while, but better late than never. I was there for five hours and then rushed to airport so I could get back to see my son who flew in that day for Mother's Day. Then, I left for a month in England on Friday, and several trips in July, August and September, then got hurt on Christmas. So I never got back to it. Finally!

      Oh thanks very much! I'm planning a similar, but more extensive event later this month at Rare Fruit Growers Festival of Fruit, but won't be so rushed as I was this morning in AZ. Jacq had to rush me to airport after only four gardens. :)

      Oh thanks! I got a haircut before I left for this past trip, but he didn't take off enough. Will have to chop it some more, though I can't stand hair in my face and clipping it back for gardening is so easy.

      Haha, and I had to cut a lot of that footage short because a) video was running long b) when you are rushing as I was that morning, no time to set camera on tripod and every time I would ask someone a question, the camera moves. UGH! Wish I had a show like Growing a Greener World, and had a camera and sound operator! One of these days!

      Thank you!! This one was a bear to edit. Jacq and I were rushing, and when you are meeting someone for the first time and holding the camera and trying to interview, yikes, camera is all over the place. There were lots of bits, I just had to cut out. But, the end result was pretty good. :)

    Fun garden tour surrounded by desert in Phoenix, Arizona of all places. Where do they get all the water needed? Thanks for taking us along, Kaye.

      Thanks! They have an aquifer, but with the growth boom in Phoenix, I can't imagine it will be there forever, but the interest in food forests, mainly fruit trees, only seems to be building.

      Yes, Charles, and I think I brought the hot, sweltering Kentucky heat with me! My plants were keeled over and it's been lots of cleanup. I almost finished the edit on this before I left, but not quite and it was the first thing I did when I got home.

      When do I harvest shallots? Half of them have bloom on top.

    • @Latebloomershow
      @Latebloomershow  6 лет назад

      And we are in a heat wave.

    • @OldAlabamaGardener
      @OldAlabamaGardener 6 лет назад +1

      I have not grown shallots, but they are in the onion family, so, I would treat them as I do onions and wait until the tops die down. But you might want to consult with someone else on shallots. Yes, we are having many days in a row with temperatures above average. Makes me wonder "What next!"
