I want to be this woman when I grow up. Such a free and beautiful spirit and it shows in her garden. I think when we stop worrying and trying so hard for perfection something beautiful happens!
Janey you know we love your garden but you need to take the show on the road and go visit every garden in your town. These are the BEST videos ever! I love watching you and the other gardener geek out, it is so charming!!
The curry plant is helichrysum. I'm an organic perfumer, and I grow them to extract them. To my nose they don't smell savory like curry, but I pick up bold notes of maple syrup, and hints of mulled wine and apple cider.
The superiority of this garden is in how you can tell half the plants weren’t just put there for the tour. Just that allows you to relax and soak in the fun. Joyous space.
Absolutely a testament to a true gardeners heart ... Wow !!! 💙 And could we please all take a moment 😌 to honor the ROSEMARY bush 🌿 .. be still my heart !!!
What FUN, I love whimsical gardens like this. Organized chaos, much like my Moms garden, toilets and all, who passed 11 yrs ago. I love seeing what other creative people come up with in their spaces, it's really inspiring.
Thank you so much Janey for taking us thru these wonderful garden tours with you. Each one has a totally different style and beauty all their own. I'm sure your getting such inspiration from each and every one . And making friendships to boot
What a unique space. ❤ I live in Sacramento county zone 9 B and let me just say I am so jealous on how far her flowers are in bloom. I would think it would be more like July right now. My plants took awhile to wake up from all the Rain, cold, windy, cloudy weather we have had. Definitely different from last year. Thanks Janey for showing us 2 different type of yards. While I do like my structure I can appreciate a wild and free yard. I definitely feel her yard is representation of herself and that is wonderful. She seems like a amazing person. ❤
Soooo inspirational! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful woman and her gardens. I have been enriched by hearing her stories and love for her wild and free gardens. I live in the mountains of S. CA and my roses have just started to bud up. I am looking forward to a show - Sara has inspired me in a zillion ways. I love her secret pathways - and I am going to do more of it. We have 3 acres and have nearly 1 acre with gardens - but what I like about her garden is that it has that wild and happy natural look. I have to achieve this playful look. Dealing with snowy winters and hot summers and rabbits and squirrels. I can do it. Thank you so much!!! You two are forever friends - meant to be.
What a fun tour! Her garden is like an adult version of a fairy garden. So mystical and magical through every pathway and around every corner. Love her passion and excitement for her garden. Thank you for taking sharing with us.
Her garden was so whimsical! She was so sweet to answer all my questions. That love in a mist was beautiful. Loved how her cat was so chill and loved the attention. So great to be able to see her garden again. Thank you Janey!
She has so many beautiful flowers! I'm more of a Michael Glassman type garden in that I like things a little more planned. But hers is beautiful as well. I think our garden styles reflect our own personalities. To each its own, but all beautiful! Janey, you've become such a good "interviewer" or "prompter" or whatever you want to call it in your videography. You relate so naturally and openly to the other gardeners which makes it easy to enjoy these videos. Good job!
You cant be 70!!!!!! Maybe ..... 40!!!! What a young heart and body! Keep up the good work and keep enjoying what you do to make others happy, too! Im also 70 just this month. whew! cant believe that we are the same age . Where do you get your energy? Love this video!!!
Every time you show us a new garden I'm more amazed at the dedication, enthusiasm, and creative genius of these gardeners who labour over their gardens and create these masterpieces. The addition of original art, mementos from friends and loved ones just makes it even better. Thank you for another incredible garden tour.
I needed to see this. I am in 9B Citrus Heights and have been struggling with gardening since I moved from the Bay last year. Now I have a plan on what to purchase to tolerate the heat, thank you!
Wow - what a fun tour! Those of us gardeners are all so different. Different personalities that are reflected in our gardens. Wonderful that though I may have a more structured style, I can still get such joy from her garden and her great joy and unique creativity. True lovers of gardening are kindred spirits 😊💕🌷🌸
I love this woman, I wish we were friends ☺️ The joy that beams from her when she shows her beautiful garden! I only have a tiny patio garden because we rent an apartment but it brings me peace ☺️❤️ If anyone ever stops to talk with me about my tiny garden it brings me so much happiness.
Oh, what a Fab lady, I ❤ her philosophy about Paths ... And re-purposing🦋. Wait, did I see a photo in the 2nd Cactus Pot? A True Cottage Garden! And obviously an Artist's garden 😊. I say that as a compliment😻 from first hand experience.
I laughed so hard when she said her garden is an escape from her madness because I too garden because I love and to escape from the madness. I love your garden it is beautiful.❤
Her garden was such a pleasure to walk through! So many fun and surprising elements. As she said, the love in the mist peeked everyone's interest as they walked by. We loved her cat as well!
This is the best garden tour that I have seen. I love how she recycles things that would end up in the land fill and she makes them look amazing and useful. She is my kind of lady!
Hi Janey, Your gardens are becoming amazing! Around the green house is becoming more beautiful with the additional plants. A paver walkway or steping stones leading into the greenhouse will look very nice. Pavers/stepping stones the same color as the pavers inside of the greenhouse. Happy Gardening!!
Wow what a fabulous treat again, i am just in awe of such wonderfull space that Sara has created, its just awesome thankyou Janey for a wonderfull tour xx
Hi Janey, This was another great tour of a beautiful and completely different garden filled with wonder and discovery! I loved when she shared her process of finding a plant and ‘sticking it in a spot.’ Thank you for taking us along. Gardening truly is about mind, body and soul. 🪴 Happy for the new garden friends you’re making. 😊
Love, love, love this garden tour so much! What an amazing creative and beautiful lady full of love and energy. So very thankful y’all shared this video with us all. ✨💖
Thank you for another garden tour. It is amazing how each garden is so different then others and yet they all fit in throughout the neighborhood. And what is so awesome is what one thinks is garbage another will make it art for their garden. Love it. Enjoy the rest of your day.
I wasn't able to visit this garden on the day of the Pence tour so I am so excited to see that you were able to video this amazing garden! I can only imagine the scents that you experienced!
OMG!!! I absolutely love love this tour. I have to say she is not only an incredible gardener but a person as well. You can tell her inter spirit is wonderful and she brings out the best in you. I found myself smiling the entire time. Thanks for sharing. By the way Janey, I love your space also I think it’s beautiful!
This is such a wonderful testimony of how gardening is not boring and the people who garden are very special people. Hearing the story of the blind man really filled my heart up with joy.❤❤❤❤Her garden is truly magical, and I loved her glasses. Great job, Janey .
What a beautifully precious and whimsical cottage garden!! I love how you can almost feel the swaying of the flowers!! All the colors and textures are amazing!! ❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing. What a contrast to the Michael Glassman garden. I loved the diversity of plants and whimsy. It is so great to see the different ways in which people can make a garden their own on a suburban lot. It doesn't have to be the cookie-cutter approach of a bunch of big green shrubs and lawns that dominate so many suburban neighborhoods.
Sara’s garden is so wonderful. I love all the beautiful flowers, so many different ones. It’s just such a pleasure to see. Thanks ladies for the tour. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️
I'm so glad you did a video on Sara's garden! Hers was one of my favorites on the garden tour, and it just wasn't possible to spend all the time I wanted to in her magical space. I love her whimsy and her passion. Everywhere you look there is something to delight and surprise you. Thanks for giving us extra time in Sara's garden, Janey.
Hi that's the kind of garden I love loads of quirky things going on . I have a lot of things my family have bought me over the years . Anything that's old and still lovely goes somewhere in my garden thank that lady so much for sharing her garden she is the same age as me and I brought 4 daughters up thanks again ❤❤
What an inspiration! I am currently raising 4 boys and have only fallen in love with gardening the last few years but I have no plan on stopping. I've loved you taking us through all these wonderful garden tours janey! Thank you for sharing. I'm way up in zone 3 in the dakotas and it is barely warming up for us!
❤ I watched this last year and loved it seen things this year didn't see last year what fun Garden tour make me so happy Can't wait to bust out in to my gardens flower beds plant .
I just found your channel this week and am enjoying the videos. This one in particular is an absolute delight! Perfect way to start my Saturday morning. Now to find some things around the house to use as garden art.
What a pleasure it was to see this garden, thank you and thank Sara Helen for me. I'm thinking we all seen ideas to steal from this garden. Me, I'll be painting the metal antique headboard leaning against the fence at the back of my garden 😊 I had to cut down one of my Mimosa trees, it was at least 25' tall, it became a ladder for the squirrels, who decided my attic would make a lovely home. For 2 yrs I pulled Mimosa starts from the garden...500...no kidding.
Wish I could have smelled the roses and salvias - a scentsational garden!:) full of color and art and so alive with pollinators and birds. Her garden is even way ahead of my Florida garden zone 10. I love this time of year when the garden thrives with abundance, yet keeps on changing as new blooms emerge. Thanks for a lovely tour and your enthusiasm that made both garden tours extra special. Loved her dedicated bed for her Basil collection. My all time favorite is African Blue Basil - I've got a huge tray of basil flowers drying on the living room credenza. Three to five days and volila, you just strip the flowers into an old spice jar. Fantastic with sliced Mozzarella, just drizzle olive oil or vinaigrette and then sprinkle the dried basil flowers liberally. Chefs kiss:). This year I am trying out a new (Chinese) Sweet Basil from seed - we'll see. Keep those garden tours coming - you do a great job with them.
Thank you Janey for sharing your fellow gardening friends gardens! Living in Alabama, where we covet beautiful grassy lawns, it is amazing to me that so many westerners fill their yards with gorgeous flowers.💖🌷🥀🌺🌻
Thank you for sharing your garden Sara Helen. I think it is so beautiful. Thank you for taking time to film the tour Janie. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Janey I’m so excited you featured Sara’s garden!!! The “love in a mist” was our absolute favorite in Sara’s garden! I was just mesmerized by those! I took so many pictures and I MUST get some of that! The red flax was beautiful too! It just seemed to glow! That jasmine “tree” was something else. My daughters were obsessed with her cat and he was so funny, he was asleep on a table out back and they pet him and took pictures and he never even opened his eyes lol so chill. Sara’s garden was so fantastic! I spoke with her and she’s just adorable and so sweet! What a pleasant lady and a wonderful, wonderful garden. I told Sara it’s my kind of eclectic garden! Not much of a plan but a beautiful result!! I’m so glad you went to her garden to show us more! Thank you! I’m so happy we got to see all these gardens it was such a great experience! We will definitely go again next year! I loved how different all the gardens were! I didn’t know what to expect and it was just fantastic 😊 I could just go on and on 🤣
As a mum who's youngest is now a teenager I can relate to the family garden evolving. 🌹 🌻 a beautiful tour. The toilets are so funny and great for cactus 🌵 😂
I want to be this woman when I grow up. Such a free and beautiful spirit and it shows in her garden. I think when we stop worrying and trying so hard for perfection something beautiful happens!
I couldn't have said it better. These tours are a joy to watch. Thanks to Janey for taking us along!
Me too !
This was truly magic!!! There are people who love to garden and then there are artists who garden and display their art!!! ❤
Janey you know we love your garden but you need to take the show on the road and go visit every garden in your town. These are the BEST videos ever! I love watching you and the other gardener geek out, it is so charming!!
Maybe as a bonus video once a month? ;)
That’s a great idea, maybe more will come in the future 😉
The curry plant is helichrysum. I'm an organic perfumer, and I grow them to extract them. To my nose they don't smell savory like curry, but I pick up bold notes of maple syrup, and hints of mulled wine and apple cider.
Oh organic perfumer sounds so interesting, could you recommend any books to rrad on starting it? Thank you so much.
This garden brought me to tears. Blind man coming, children during the pandemic what a healing treat this garden is. Thank you for sharing.
The superiority of this garden is in how you can tell half the plants weren’t just put there for the tour. Just that allows you to relax and soak in the fun. Joyous space.

Love plant people. 😊everyone's garden is so different. Your enthusiasm is infectious Janey.
Beautiful garden, I love the incorporation of California native plants. They are so beneficial for animals and need less water!

Wow. What a treat!!!
Wish I could have smelled the roses and salvias - a scentsational garden!:) full of color and art and so alive with pollinators and birds. Her garden is even way ahead of my Florida garden zone 10. I aspire for my garden to be like this! I love the variety of colors, shapes, and leaves. Thank you for this showcase!
This was a pure joy to watch!!
I don't know if somebody already mentioned it, but the first one, the chilean succulent is called "pata de guanaco", guanaco's paw (guanacos are a type of lama). They grow in dry areas but also on the rocks right in front of the ocean.
What a gem!!!!!
Totally agree Darlene!!
Hi Janey, please have more garden tour like this and yesterday's. they are enjoyable. Thank you for the beautiful garden tour.

This is a magical garden. And Janie, you are so great with people! So natural and highlight what THEY bring to the garden. Great video!
