Pallets are in standard pre-determined sizes like 48" x 40" or 30" x 30" for example. Skids are pallets that are specifically made to match the dimensions of the piece/s they will carry. For example, if the piece is 35" x 35" you could put it on a 48" x 40" pallet, or you could build a skid with dimensions of 35" x 35".

So, a pallet = pmc and a skid = wood made base ? I thought that there were no difference between pallet and skid ?
