Many are questioning the authenticity of this story, and find it unlikely that a priest would ask such a "random" and foolish question.
However, this question has been put forward to us many times before, as the Quran states that it is a clarification for everything.
Allah says:
وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ تِبْيَانًا لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ
"And We have sent down to you the Book (the Quran) as an exposition of everything," [16:89]
Some have used this verse to criticise the Quran, as the Quran does not literally explain everything.
So it is likely that the priest derived his argument from this verse.
Also the story of the Jew that laughed at, I think, a companion or a follower, saying "Islam has so many teachings...it probably even tells you how to go to use the bathroom." The Muslim responded by saying "yes. It tells us not to face or turn our backs towards the direction of the kaaba, To wash our privates with left hand using clean stones and use water if available, to enter the boundaries with right and seeking refuge from the male and female jinn and to leave with left asking for Allah for forgiveness. The Jew was so impressed that he accepted Islam. This is what I remember from the hadeeth or story. I believe it was in Bukhari but please correct anything I added or left out for the viewers sake.
Does the early mufassirun like Ibnu Katsir interpret Ahlul Dzikr as any person with knowledge of things. I heard that Ahlul Dzikr refers to people of knowledge of the previous scriptures?

As Muslims, we believe in the punishment of the grave. There are many narrations which verify its authenticity. One such narration is: The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Seek Allaah's protection from the Punishment of the Grave, since the Punishment of the Grave is a fact/true." (Saheeh: At-Tabraanee in 'al-Kabeer' from Umm Khaalid bint Khaalid ibn Sa'eed ibn al-'Aas.)
Our righteous predecessors have mentioned many stories in this regard, some of which are as follows:
Ibn Abi'd Dunya (rahimahullah) mentioned that one of his companions said, “My brother died and I saw him in a dream. I said, "How was it when you were placed in your grave?" He replied,
"Someone brought me a fiery flame and if it had not been that someone else made supplication for me, I think he would have hit me with it.” ("The Soul journey after death" an abridgement of Ibn al-Qayyim's kitabar-ruh.)
Bashar b. Ghalib (rahimahullah) said, “I saw Rabia, on whose behalf I make frequent supplication, in a dream. She said to me,
"Bashar b. Ghalib! Your gifts have been brought to me on plates of light, covered in silken cloths."
I asked, "How can that be?" She replied,
"That is what the supplication of living believers is like. When they make supplication for a dead person, that supplication is answered for them on plates of light, veiled in silken cloths. Then they are brought to the dead person for whom the supplication was said and they are told, 'This is the gift of so-and-so to you.'” ” ("The Soul journey after death" an abridgement of Ibn al-Qayyim's kitabar-ruh.)
Amr bin Dinar (rahimahullah) said “The sister of one of the men of Medina died and he buried her. When he came back from the burial, he remembered that he had left something in the grave. He asked one of his companions to help him. His companion related that they had dug up the grave and found what they were looking for. Then the man said, "Let us dig further and find out what has happened to my sister." He lifted up one of the stones covering the burial cavity and found the grave filled with fire. He replaced it and filled in the grave again. Then he returned to his mother and asked, "What was my sister really like?" She replied, "Why do you ask about her when she is dead?" He said, "Tell me." She said,
"She used to delay the prayer and she also used to go to our neighbours' doors, put her ear to them, and then tell other people what they said." ("The Soul journey after death" an abridgement of Ibn al-Qayyim's kitabar-ruh.)
One of the early Muslims said,
"We passed by a watering-place on the way to Basra. We heard the braying of a donkey and asked the people there what the braying was. They replied that it was one of the men who used to be with them whose mother had asked him for something and he had told her to bray like a donkey. Since his death, this braying had been heard every night from his grave.” ("The Soul journey after death" an abridgement of Ibn al-Qayyim's kitabar-ruh.)
The torment in the grave will vary according to the sins committed by the person in this world, whether he was a disbeliever or a disobedient Muslim. There are authentic narrations which describe this torment for the people who commit these sins. For example:
1 - Being struck with an iron hammer.
It was narrated from Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“When a person is placed in his grave and his companions leave him, and he can no longer hear the sound of their sandals (footsteps), two angels come to him and make him sit up, and they ask him, ‘What did you say about this man Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)?’ He says, ‘I bear witness that he is the slave of Allaah and His Messenger.’ It is said, ‘Look at your place in Hell which Allaah has replaced for you with a place in Paradise.’” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “And he sees them both. But as for the kaafir or hypocrite, he says, ‘I do not know, I used to say what the people said.’ It is said, ‘You did not know and you did not follow those who knew.’ Then he is struck a blow with an iron hammer between his ears and he screams a scream which everything around him can hear apart from the two races (of mankind and the jinn).” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1222.)
2 -7: Furnishings from Hell are prepared for him; he is clothed with fire; a door to Hell is opened for him; his grave is made narrow for him; he is struck with a great hammer which, if a mountain were to be struck with it, it would turn to dust; and he is given the tidings of torment in the Hereafter. Hence he will wish that the hour would never come.
Ahmad (17803) and Abu Dawood (4753) narrated that al-Baraa’ ibn ‘Aazib said:
"We went out with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) for the funeral of a man from among the Ansaar. We came to the grave and when (the deceased) was placed in the lahd, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sat down and we sat around him, as if there were birds on our heads (i.e. quiet and still). In his hand he had a stick with which he was scratching the ground. Then he raised his head and said, “Seek refuge with Allaah from the torment of the grave,” two or three times. Then he mentioned the soul of the believer and how he is blessed in his grave. Then he said: “But when the disbelieving slave is about to depart this world and enter the Hereafter, there come down to him from heaven angels with black faces, bringing sackcloth, and they sit around him as far as the eye can see. Then the Angel of Death comes and sits by his head, and he says, ‘O evil soul, come forth to the wrath of Allaah and His anger.’ Then his soul disperses inside his body, then comes out cutting the veins and nerves, like a skewer passing through wet wool. When he seizes it, they do not leave it in his hand for an instant before they take it and put it in that sackcloth, and there comes from it a stench like the foulest stench of a dead body on the face of the earth. Then they ascend and they do not pass by any group of angels but they say, ‘Who is this evil soul?’ and they say, ‘It is so and so, the son of so and so, calling him by the worst names by which he was known in this world, until they reach the lowest heaven. They ask for it to be opened to them and it is not opened.” Then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited (interpretation of the meaning):
“For them the gates of heaven will not be opened, and they will not enter Paradise until the camel goes through the eye of the needle.” [al-A’raaf, 7:40]
He said: “Then Allaah says, ‘Record the book of My slave in Sijjeen in the lowest earth, and return him to the earth, for from it I created them, to it I will return them and from it I will bring them forth once again.’ So his soul is cast down.” Then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited the verse (interpretation of the meaning):
“And whoever assigns partners to Allaah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place.” [al-Hajj, 22:31]
He said: “Then his soul is returned to his body, and there come to him two angels who make him sit up and they say to him, ‘Who is your Lord?’ He says, ‘Oh, oh, I don’t know.’ They say, ‘What is your religion?’ He says, ‘Oh, oh, I don’t know.’ Then a voice calls out from heaven, ‘Prepare for him a bed from Hell and clothe him from Hell, and open for him a gate to Hell.’ Then there comes to him some of its heat and hot winds, and his grave is constricted and compresses him until his ribs interlock. Then there comes to him a man with an ugly face and ugly clothes, and a foul stench, who says, ‘Receive the bad news, this is the day that you were promised.’ He says, ‘Who are you? Your face is a face which forebodes evil.’ He says, ‘I am your evil deeds.’ He says, ‘O Lord, do not let the Hour come, do not let the Hour come.’” (This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Ahkaam al-Janaa’iz, p. 156)
8 - Being swallowed up by the earth.
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Whilst a man was dragging his lower garment out of pride, the earth swallowed him up and he will continue sinking into the earth until the Day of Resurrection.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5345; Muslim, 3894)
9- The edge of the mouth being torn to the back of the head.
10- The head being smashed with a rock.
11- Being burnt in a tannoor oven
12- Swimming in a river of blood whilst being pelted with stones.
The answer is so simple and sensible it makes it sound like a stupid question in the first place
This make me smile 😊. “Whoever is granted wisdom has indeed been granted abundant wealth” (2: 269).
This is soo emotional to me and I can't hold my tears

God really blessed this religion with people of high intellect!
Rather it is Allah's permission and his order to raise his religion above all, not the smartness of individuals. May Allah bless our shaykhs but it is all just a blessing from Allah.
God has blessed the people with the religion and high intellect
I did not see that coming. Suspense was killing me. That's why wisdom and understanding make scholars like him so great.
My ustaz (teacher) used to tell me this story during my boarding school (about 2001 if I'm not mistaken). The story was exactly like this 1. So it seems like its a true story. My ustaz who told me this story passed away just 2-3 years after he shared this story (that was after he said no worries I will go soon, he was so healthy at that time, so no 1 expect he would gone forever). May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus for the knowledge he taught us.
Did he mention who the Sheikh was?
@@subulassalam6067 Nope. The story he told us (almost 20 years ago) was exactly the same like this video, no name mention (if I'm not mistaken, if he did mention I forgot already).
Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen has passed away in January 2001, probably your Ustadz heard the story from him. No doubt that this story was true as the likes of Allamah Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen would never relate a story that’s not true. May Allah have mercy on him and grant him Jannatul Firdouz.
The children of that priest are still working for him by giving their dislike here...

Got me there, was waiting in anticipation, wanted to forward to get the final answer, but decided to wait and heae the entire episode... Wow Quran is such an amazing book.. Truly covered everything in creation & others we know not of.... Guess that's why we in the Western world need such enlightened Islamic scholars to answer challenges of Islam & the Quran.... It was an eye opener and I'm glad I came to watch this classic video....
Greetings to all people of peace and good will....
We should ask them back where in the Bible says that Jesus is God. They will go crazy🤦
Not all Christians believe that Jesus is God
@@anonuser260 then what do they believe ? This book has been altered and fabricated regardless. There is no original copy. Those who believe in God and believe that there is such power, should read the Qu’ran with an open mind and it will sooth them with the truth they have been searching for
@@anonuser260 yeah I think they are called Unitarian and some other minorities but they are extremely limited in no...I do know such people do exist.... but correct me If I'm wrong...
@@shakirch8192 I think I’m not entirely sure but Catholics don’t believe that Jesus is god I will have to do research on it because I don’t want to give you false info. But guys instead of hating on religions we should represent Islam by being kind to them and getting to know their religion as well as our own. That way educated people do not spread false information.
You got this one... Also Bible didn't teach how to make salad too
The answer given by the Sheikh in question is not something that you will just pick up from sitting in circles of knowledge, but it is indeed a great privilege gifted by Allah
{وَمَن یُؤۡتَ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ فَقَدۡ أُوتِیَ خَیۡرࣰا كَثِیرࣰاۗ}
“And whoever is granted wisdom is certainly blessed with a great privilege.”
[Surah Al-Baqarah: 269]
The Last subtitle was the most important, "Ask the Ulama". Something alot ofpeople today no longer do, rather they self educate(which is not from our tradition!!!!!), and rely on youtube and google. Then self declare themselves as people deserving of giving fatwas, making takfir, occupy their time in self-righteoueness declaring everything haram, kufur and bidat, and think they know better than all the Ulama throughout history,...etc...etc this is a very dangerous mindset of the ignorant which to many brothers and sisters are adopting and normalizing...
So if you take anything away from this video let it be "ask the Ulama"!
Leave your computer and go seek knowledge from the Ulama!
May Allah grant him jannat firdous
When Allah give to someone wisdom..they will always in the guidence of Allah..who dare to challenge the creator..
Assala Mualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatoho JajakAllahu khairan

Subhan Allah. Beautiful insightful answer. No one can reply such Shubha but Quran-heart placed people can.
I think the sheikh mentioned is Ahmad Deedat (rahimahullah) since he was one of the few people who was popular in 90s among the muslims and the non muslims as well because of the debates he used to have with the disblievers.

I wasn't expecting that answer but that was epic🤭
Praise be to Allah.
Firstly:
It is permissible for a woman to take part in public chat rooms, if she adheres to the following guidelines:
She should only participate as much as is necessary, so she should pose a question or state the topic, then leave, and not comment unless there is a need for that, because the basic principle is that she should avoid speaking to men or mixing with them.
There should be nothing in her words that could provoke fitnah (temptation), such as joking, speaking softly, or laughing, such as writing “hahahahahaha”, as mentioned in the question, or using smiley emojis, because that could lead to coveting on the part of those in whose hearts is disease, as Allah, may He be glorified, says (interpretation of the meaning): “O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear Allah, then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech” [al-Ahzaab 33:32].
She should avoid giving out her email address or corresponding via private messages with any man, even if that is for the purpose of seeking help, because of what such correspondence often leads to of attachment and temptation. See the answers to question no. 34841 .
It is preferable and better for a woman to participate only in all-female chat rooms. This is safer for her. There are many such chat rooms, and that is better and sufficient. But if she needs to participate in public chat rooms, then it is better for her to choose a screen name that does not indicate that she is female.
And Allah knows best.
I'm so excited the answers of Sheikh Soo beutiful

ماشاءاللہ Great Answer
الله يرحم الشيخ ابن عثيمين
An example in english can be when someone makes a statement such as "I searched for you everywhere" but obviously you would know this is not in a literal way, its just how people sometimes speak, to put it simply Allah revealed what he willed so Allah can reveal this verse with no problem.
Make more, jazakalla khair.

That caught me off too. Allāhumma barik lahu. Āmeen
I have a feeling that the Sheikh might be Shaykh Ahmed Deedat rahimahullah. He fearlessly debated Christian evangelists and priests and even challenged the Pope. He frequently dealt with questions like this.
I think that
That was some High level response.
Ask the priest back "where is in the bible mentioned how to make salad" 🤭
No need for asking about salad. Just ask them where is in the Bible Jesus said He is God. They'll go crazy.
You have to answer certain questions with wisdom. However, it's a great answer.
I like sheikh voice,,, happy to listen to it
A best shut up call♥️
AOA,

May ALLAH forgive us all
Woooow ! Subhan Allah so interesting
The way the speaker says the word Europe, it almost sounds like variation of the word arab.
Subhaan Allah!😝 I have heard a similar story about an orientalist asking a Syrian Scholar a similar stupid🥴 question: ..."How many loaves of bread🍞 can you make from a bag of flour?"... In that case the Sheikh called for a local baker to give him the answer, to the surprise of the orientalist, & the Sheikh justified it with the Qur'aan again: FASALU AHLADIHKREE IN KUNTUM LA TAALAMOON/FASALU BEEHEE KHABEERA! 🤣🤷🏾♂️😇
Correct answer. Alhamdulillah.
I think is when he met with Sh Ahmad Deedat. I can't be 100% sure, but pretty confident. Sh Ahmad Deedat mentioned a similar story and he's famous in both Muslim and non-Muslim lands. Allahu Alam.
Where can we find the Biography of this Sheikh ?
