DISCLAIMER: "It's not that am a super producer yet!" , but out of instinct I started with Busy Works Beats Music Theory Training, made one beat after another. Beats sounded like shit at first I did not like the sound of my beats the first 2 years. But I knew how I wanted it to sound. The last couple of months I have begun to get a sound I really love. Am not into the type beat world. I wanna go big find a beginning artist and work with em get to the scene together because am not there yet, but as Sonny say, when you tried seeing it from the perspective of an artist your beatmaking changes, I tried rap/singing to my beats as well and yes, it changed the way I make beats now. I really have a good & fun time making beats, it's the first thing I think about when I wake up and the last thing I think about when I go to sleep. There is nothing but, scale keys, chords, motifs and themes. I thought I wanted to learn every aspect of beat making before I began to use loops. I made loops for others though even though I dont do loop packs.I am not against anyone because they use loops I dont see them as bad or anything, so dont get me misunderstood. To all you people on Team Producergrind, I love what you do! Your interviews is golden. @roger-out

I should do a video with all of the arps people used.. 2 chainz and nicki Minaj song was a arp in gladiator
Loops became popular when it became easier to get placements sending loops. In my opinion the loop maker is doing more work than the guy just adding drums but they have the network so it’s a give and take thing. Most of the time the guy adding drums doesn’t have the same vision for the loop so I do my own drums. One dude was like man don’t send me this simple ass loop. Not knowing that’s the shit that get placed.

Just started making beats. Appreciate this interview
I like making from scratch and using loops I just like to create it’s still. Fun regardless of the method but just try to make sure I don’t do one more than the other and stay fluid
Cookin up from scratch just fun bruh, it’s a way of art no doubt , do it cause it’s more creative that’s what should be drivin n if it sounds good. If you go by that then no one gonna care if you are using loops, an mpc , fl or any other daw; make it sound good n use your ears💪🐐
A bit too much noise on the mics, thanks for making this conversation possible and sharing it
Jahlil Beats Holla at me one of the most legendary tags
They sleep 😴
@roger-out
cant get too addicted to the tutorials. Gotta get creative and create your own sound.

Keep posting these on Spotify!!! I listen to them on a daily gang 💯🔥
I really don’t see how any drum could hit hit harder based on the device MONITORING it. I really feel it has to do with velocity and input gain.
Mike will used hella arps in his beats that was a preset.. that song shit was a arp that song with Pharrell was a arp it’s like 10 Mike will used for straight hits.. and March madness was a arp in purity you just press it and hold it. Metro made karate chop for future with a arp.. that song bank with offset and drake was a arp a song Shawty Redd did was a arp for Gucci.. I should do a video with all of the arps people used.. 2 chainz and nicki Minaj song was a arp in gladiator
Facts. Dune, purity, electraX where I found DEM sounds but do dat brotha. Niggaz needa know & understand we all be havin da same sounds.

Solid information great interview, learned a lot of Gems 🎯🎹⭐️
I’m using the blink rate of the dude in the blue hat as my tempo for my new banger. Got to be around 170 Blinks Per Minute
On some real shit Sonny digital big motivation.
If it’s simple it def can be remade
Great interview!
About kicks: put a transient designer in the middle frequencies of an 808 and boom you got "kick" control (I use Kilohertz Multipass for this)
use DS-10 Transient Shaper for this it’s even better💯
Say less, MPC Mother Ducker plugin
