Will this work on a 2012 Ford Focus with electric steering fault code U3000?

Can you share a link of which Forscan to buy to be able to do this? I am replacing rack and pinion on my wife's 2014 for fusion and would like to make sure its configured properly. Great video!!

We recently installed a new rack in my son's 2010 Fusion. When we got it all done everything seems to be working without an issue and the powertrac steering warning is gone. Is it necessary to program this remanufactured rack to his car? The sheet with the rack says it has to be to validate the warranty, but it's working fine as is and I'm pretty sure I'd rather junk this car than remove the steering rack again lol. Thanks for your time Sir, have a great day.

Currently in the same position with my 2010 Fusion. Has your son had any issues driving this vehicle without a reprogram since this was posted?

Is it possible to change the EPAS configuration from the original "As Built" data to that of another car? I would like to try programming a Mustang GT with Mach 1 software to see the differences.

@@MaximumVelocityMotorsports should be. I’ve used Forscan to look at and reflash EPAS as built files, so I can’t think of a reason you couldn’t.

Recently I was replacing the subframe on my wife's Escape and had to separate the steering gear from the column. During the process, I was getting frustrated and allowed the wheel to spin. I reattached the column to the steering gear but I'm afraid it might be off a revolution (or two) and I'm going to wreck the clock spring.
Can I use Forscan's steering angle to ensure i mounted it correctly?
Please excuse me if this is a dumb question but I've never used Forscan.

You should be able to view the steering angle with it.

@@CarShopTalk Thanks for taking the time to reply. I was able to get a steering angle displayed with Forscan. Unfortunately, the reading didn't make sense. I had suspected that my error would be multiples of 360 degrees so I could figure out how many times that I had let the steering wheel spin. Instead, it was off 225 degrees. I'm guessing that when I pulled the battery, the EPAS lost track and just started up from the last known value. Not a complete waste of time, since I now know how to re-initialize the EPAS.
To solve my initial problem, I just removed the clock spring and manually figured out where the middle should be.

Does anyone knows why I get "Number of blocks in files and molecule doesn't match?"
