My wife just bought one of these to replace her ID3 Max. We tested loads of options but the interior quality and spec won her over. Like for like it’s £5k cheaper than the ID3, in the UK so feels great value. The beeps are annoying but they’re everywhere now and turning them off has become a reflex. To note our Great Dane fits fine in the boot, he came on all the test drives 😉
I drive on those very country roads, 80km speed limits, very faded road markings (or non existent). I've had the Ioniq 5 occasionally give out about left hand verge but never any dramatic steering.
Hey great video. could u tell me if the headrest of the driversseat adjustable up and downwards? i am a large guy 200 cm and interested but not sure if i will fit. hope to hear from u. greetings Bas
Great video, Nobby.Let's be honest .One of the last amazing and quality cars passed behind your back at 5:31 mins .All these overpriced computers on wheels these days are not worth mentioning.
Great video but I gripe is that you always quote the consumption at km it would be help full to know both km and mpg, not a fan of smart even less of a fan of electric cars and I defo agree with you on the m3 defo better with the v8 👍
Another hard riding, expensive, glass roofed appliance with acceleration you will use 5% of the time. Most days you will be wanting a cossetting ride out of the sun....especially in hot summers.
Having a #3 I can say charging is pretty much always 155-160kW (even higher than it’s rated) from 10% to around 50%, not sure what was wrong with yours but at 63% you should be getting 80-100kW. There is a setting to limit charging speed, it’s not visible from the video whether it was on
I do not see the point in paying €56k for that car. It will become more and more difficult to enjoy the performance with new speed limits. doubtlessly, many will be absurdly low and used to take yet more easy money from motorists. Furthermore, the (lack of )range would put me off. The car would not do a return journey to Dublin from any of the coastal cities without needing a charge.
I don't know how all of the driver safety makes it safer to drive when all you want to do is turn it all off. My Mazda will force the steering back into lane if I am crossing the line to avoid a parked car... All of this automation is unsafe!
@@WheelieTheCapperexcept where you do 90% of your driving on country roads where more often than not there are no white lines. Lane assist is an absolute nightmare in those conditions (I know, mine is permanent off now!).
It will sell because 95% will be company/leased and all that matters then is the monthly payment/insurance. Still a lot cheaper than a model 3 on my company scheme if I wanted one.

Nice review, agree on the intrusive beeps. Needs to be a one button shortcut to mute those when you start the car.

can you get a tow hitch for this brabus model?

Xeekr X AWD is around 10kUSD cheaper than Smart #3 Brabus, both made in the same factory and sold in China
Unlikely to be sold here anyway. There’s only so many Chinese brands that can make a go of Europe.

just had to watch to see what it was! Very cool

Eh … No but on the upside love the new intro

Wasn’t on but battery temp and SOC probably both contributory factors

I took a test drive in a #1 Brabus and was put off by the interior creaking noises.

Methinks that if you indicate when overtaking the parked car, then you shouldn't have any lane keeping automatic correcting issues...

Wait a year for the 35% depreciation seen in #1
It’s not a hashtag 3, it’s a number 3
In ye olde days # was short for number
Incorrect
@ indeed, you were !
@ I’ve been at the launch of the car ffs, give yourself a day off

Oh dear! Did you have to put your finger into the "a"hole of the "smart" to open the boot?

The dash is horrible, that grey plastic looks super cheap.
