What an awesome Jeep. It only took 70 years for Jeep to build something that was worth a crap without modifying the hell out of it from the factory. Keep up the good work. Love your content. Hope you come up to Montana soon.

Chris’s comfort aside, I secretly hope he doesn’t trade the Jeep for some 4x4 van. I couldn’t imagine being interested in watching a van off-road lol. Cheers to you Chris, I love all of your videos man.
Really enjoying your channel. Super inspiring and entertaining. Great mix of adventure and beautiful scenery without all the sponsor plugs. Very nice work.
That shot you took of the cabin above the river with the square stacked logs down to the river level is very famous and you found the spot ... absolutely fantastic!
So glad after Crystal Mills you stopped in @Slow groove BBQ! Best brisket this Maryland boy has ever had. My wife and I sat at the same table as well. Please stay in Colorado and head to Ouray and Silverstone... I promise you wont be disappointed. Most beautiful part of the state by a Colorado mile!
I liked the Go Pro mounted on the winch. You should do that more often. Beautiful scenery!! "I have no idea where I am going from here right now" sounds wonderful. Interesting pepperoni pizza sandwiches.
You might consider a 1 or even a 5 pound refillable propane tank. They store pretty easily and are certainly more economical than the small tanks. Of course keep a couple small tanks just in case you can’t find a refill station😉.
Great videos and I am glad that you are back on the road. Here in Vermont all is still sort of quiet..but jeep trips in the future. Thanks for keeping us all inspired
These are the kinds of trails and campsites i was telling you I like the most. Nothing better than a rushing river or stream with endless trails with amazing views.
Always a treat to watch... I'm amazed by the rocky terrain you drive over each week. Excellent driving skills. And equally amazing is the food you consume and stay slim and trim. I put on 5 lbs just looking at that BBQ hero!
Definitely can't fall asleep at the wheel and must pay attention on those mountain roads(?). Man, what gorgeous scenery. The campsites were epic, too. Keep 'em coming, Chris, love it!
Just phenomenal. It's been 20 years since my last adventure into the area where you started this video. Makes me feel the need to get another Jeep so we can make the run through Scholfield Pass again. Thank you Chris. Cheers from Colorado
Great photography with incredible views! Thx 😜. You're JK Rubi makes it look easy. Haven't been wandering for a while & I really miss it. Blue Bells (?) & fire at 21:06, nice! Too many cool things to comment on, my fav episode yet!
I am really looking forward to your adventures in Utah. You did say that you were going to spend more time in Utah last time you were in Utah. Thank you for making these videos I look forward to them every weekend.
Another great video Chris. The scenery can't get much better anywhere. One question, was that a dog or coyote at 21:30 in the distance that I head while you were standing next to the fire? Anyway take care and be safe out there.
About your shoes: rotating 2 or 3 pair extends the life of shoes by giving the sole compounds time to recover after being compressed with use. It’s a trick I learned with trail running shoes and I’ve found that it works with hiking shoes as well.
Great episode, sir. IMO, best in some time. Sooooo glad you're out of the desert. Great scenery and very cool 4wd stuff. Keep on keepin' on, brother, stay safe, and see you next week.
Okay, I'm just catching up....my Dad introduced me to your channel...and I'm sure there is a lot that I missed that I will go back and watch, but as of right now, watching the V10 videios...you certainly seem to like your pizza don't you...campfire, pizzeria, stovetop pizza pockets @20:35...it just seems to be a mainstay...can't wait to watch the backlog and see if that observance holds true. Loving the vids...good job Chris. I know there are countless steps(both literally and well...not figuratively, but other literally in the processing of footage and whatnot) taken to get the content out there. So thank you, and know that it is inspiring for others. Safe travels...
Just a note to say I am new to your videos!! Found them a few days ago, and have been viewing them as fast as I can.... I love what you are doing, and I love your video style!!! You do awesome work. Obviously you work hard to make them so nice! I had hoped to be doing what you are doing now, and in some of the same places, but TOYOTA screwed up my truck order. I ordered a Tacoma TRD OFFROAD on January 3, 2020. After a lot of delays and excuses, it finally arrived here in St Louis, MO at the end of June. But, it was too late to get it ready for this season, and one of the important options was missing!! I will try again next year!!!!!!!!!! I am taking notes from your trips.. I cannot handle the extreme places you go, but, I will get as close as I can, and still be having fun!!! Keep rolling and keep sharing! Love your videos! For the last several years I have been in Estes Park, CO on July, for their fireworks show! It is awesome!!! I missed this year, but hope to be there again next year.. If you are ever looking for great fireworks on the 4th, Estes Park is a GREAT choice!!! But SKIP SOMKIN DAVE's BBQ.. Was terrible the last time I was there! I see you loved the BBQ in MARBLE!!!! I have not tried that one, but, will next time I am there... Safe Travels to ya!!!
Chris, I'm laughing when you say these are my shoes I wear out to fancy places like "Target or Olive Garden". I did know Target was fancy! ha ha.. Enjoy all your video's and living on a ranch I can relate to your desire to camp out doors. Every place you've been looks like my view from out side my door= front of back!. Same Same, just a new trail. Peacefulness is what's provided out side any City. As you have discovered everywhere you camp to close to any town, the Hill Billys come out on weekends and screw up nature and all it has to offer. Make it a great day. The Happy Texan.
My buddy met you on the devils punch bowl as he was taking pictures of those kayakers sending down the falls. You can even see his mountain bike in on of your go pro shots!
Great video gorgeous scenery have family in gunnison/monstrosity/an delta outside of delta heading toward grand junction left side there’s some water falls an underground water type slides as always be safe
Thanks for the shoe recommendation, Chris. Oddly enough I have a pair of Soloman trail runners that need replacing. Was looking for something less run and more light hike so your review is very timely! As always thanks for all the vids and especially now when so many of us are trapped in our homes working and dreaming of a more free existence. lol
Dang Chris!!!! Absolutely awesome I’ve been through Colorado Springs and Silverton I think that’s what it’s called it’s been a while. The trails are on the scenery is the best thank you for sharing.
Another fun journey. I’m glad you didn’t have traffic coming at you on that narrow road. Great photography beautiful country. I’ve never made my own pizza, but because of watching your videos, I went and bought the same exact Items you had. Mine didn’t come out so good, but it was OK.
Chris, when you buy shoes, you buy 3 pair of the same, you put color markers on the back to distinguish them apart, all 3 become your daily's. The pizza sandwich would have been better if you had used the scuttle and served them open faced, that sandwich press is good for grilled cheese. Keep living the dream. Peace.
Chris, glad you got to see our town of Paonia, Colorado and the surrounding area. We have a lifted Jeep TJ that we use to get around these parts. If you need some high speed Internet while in the area, just let me know.
Seems you found new horizons this year, the sky is the limit.cant believed you dropped that boat in the falls, nice.stay safe in your journeys, you are enjoying life to the fullest.
Nice video Chris. You know i always watch the places you drive your jeep into and am thinking i might get my durango in there lol. I think this weeks travels just proved hat theory incorrect. Im too wide for som of those trails, and so is my truck lol. Stay safe and healthy
Well, I'll have to catch up on next week's video because I'm going up into the Sierra for a while. Finally have the time to get out of "stay at home" and stretch those rusty tires a little. They've been sitting out front for way too long. Today we had low 90s here in northern CA, so a little elevation sounds like a good plan. Always enjoy your videos.
Hey chris I am not watching this video yet I just wanted to comment and this is your newest I am not sure how I found your channel but I am watching all your videos in order I am on V3E8 You and Jenn go serpert ways for work and you needed to get what you think is the CV boot -front drive shaft fixed lol yeah I am that far back. I wanted to thank you for making videos. I like to watch some vanlife channels and Adventure off roads like you are. But I seem to be so picky I have only found two channels that I like out of who knows how many are out there.. And now your channel and I have a lot of videos to watch till I am all caught up so thank you for the videos and giving us something intersting to watch while you travel and in joy life. hopefully I can travel some day I have always wanted to. And yes I did Subscribed
Welcome to Colorado’s western slope. Been tuned in for last 2 years and love the videos. If you need any recommendations for rugged drives and seldom used camping areas please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re in Fruita just west of Grand Junction to the north of Montrose. Safe travels sir.
Thank you for another great video. I really enjoy your travels and video work and look forward to them each week. David from the Gold Country of California.
We enjoy your videos, always beautiful country. We live here in CO and have a 4WD with good clearance as well. We wish you would be a little clearer about which trails you are on. Is there a reason you aren't cleared about just what trail you are on? Thank You.
I love those Colorado views! I just returned home from the alvord desert and the Steens mountains. There’s a lot to look at in eastern Oregon, you should check it out!
Chris, you HAVE to butter the outside of the bread when you make a pudgie pie! It'll taste much less like "cardboard". Great ep. as usual!. It makes me miss CO.
Yo... been to toutle ridge a few times... we should meet up... always interested in meeting new peeps...i live in kent, hit me up if your interested...
TWINK THE TROLL unless you know him personally, how would you know he has a son or afraid of volcanoes. And he probably did work hard before that, decided to sell his home and quit to chase his dream, that’s a risk. And he is working hard filming and editing as he goes. Very fitting name indeed.
I’ve been following your channel for about 3 years, so I don’t know how I missed this one.
Spectacular scenery! One of your best Chris!
The number of times I say: “Oh wow, look at that!” seems to increase with every video! Amazing and wonderful. Thanks, Chris.
I have been following Chris from the beginning and I have to admit that this is the most beautiful place he has been so far.
I have said the same thing about 3 times so far lol.
@@TheSixsixsick We may see the world around us in a similar photonic way.

I like the addition of the new in-cab perspective. More please.

The sight and sound of rushing water through a rocky canyon never gets old. I need to get back out there.
Did one of those guys have an inflatable like Chris's?
Ron Smith yeah looked like it, unless Chris is extreme like that hahaha. Guy took that waterfall like it was nothing.
Beautiful route. Stay safe and continue the journey
Schofield is such an awesome trail. Glad to see you decided to run it.
I liked the Go Pro mounted on the winch. You should do that more often. Beautiful scenery!!

You really can’t beat camping next to a water source like that 👍🏻
Always a treat to watch... I'm amazed by the rocky terrain you drive over each week. Excellent driving skills. And equally amazing is the food you consume and stay slim and trim. I put on 5 lbs just looking at that BBQ hero!

Colorado looks great. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe & God Bless!
So fun to have you in our beautiful state. I have enjoyed seeing it from someone else's perspective.
About your shoes: rotating 2 or 3 pair extends the life of shoes by giving the sole compounds time to recover after being compressed with use. It’s a trick I learned with trail running shoes and I’ve found that it works with hiking shoes as well.
Awesome adventure! Try Oboz Sawtooth hiking shoes, either dry or wet!
Great episode, sir. IMO, best in some time. Sooooo glad you're out of the desert. Great scenery and very cool 4wd stuff. Keep on keepin' on, brother, stay safe, and see you next week.

Awesome subjects and videography! My favorite episode so far in this channel.
Montrose Co. must be nice I should be in Ouray next week; but I am still stuck in Nicaragua enjoy and thanks for the awesome vids.
Wonderful footage. This episode should certainly make the Chris Schontz greatest hits list.
Great segment! Scouting ahead is excellent advice.

Better bread....

Now those were some beautiful technical trails and the fact that you did it with your house, mind blowing. As always, loved the video Chris.
