He shouldnt get future money for past performances. Cam need to do whats best for the team if a Superbowl is more important to him than more money. This is turning into a case of greed with Cam. He said he wants to play 3 more years?? Nah he just wants paid for 3 more years. If the Steelers were financially smart, they wouldnt commit much money for him. And Cam needs to get his tax situation straightened out with his charities. That's a little shady within itself. I'm a Steeler fan, not a fan of any particular player trying to financially strap the team.
I love cam and he's been great but he just came off a big injury and he's only getting older he's definitely lost a step or 2 but i can't see the Steelers giving him a big contract 😞 that said i wish him the best of luck but you can't put a strong hold on your team and cap space hes making great money i can't see them paying him more then his original contract maybe a 2 year deal I'd like to see him play for 3 more sessions as a Steeler but they probably won't they are going to force him into retirement just like ward Troy and Ryan and Ben age matters in the NFL i think it's going to be his last year unless he is willing to work a deal and do a team friendly contract

I think it has more 2 do with the injuries and not a contract thing. I think it is just trying 2 help him get rest to hold up in the season.
