The 2024 Steelers have TREMENDOUSLY improved from the 2023 Steelers.
The Offense is the most improved in the NFL and will be Top 10.
The QB Room has Drastically Improved with RW3 and JF2 being the best back up in the NFL. RW3 threw 26 TD's and 8 INTS and had a bad year compared to the Steelers 13 TD and 13 INTS. I can see RW3 30TD and 5 INTS and 3500YDS and 67% completion rate in Arthurs Smith's offense.
The Offense finally has a legitimate and Bonafide Offensive Coordinator with a proven offensive system and scheme. Importantly he has stated that his already successful offensive system and scheme has evolved into the point where it will incorporate and utilize the speed of the WR Room: Roman Wilson (4.39), Quez Watkins (4.35), Scotty Miller (4.39), and CAIII (4.32) all with 4.3 Speed. The Running game will start game 1 of the season rushing for 150 yards or more versus getting it going week 9 of the 2 previous seasons. In addition, the offense has proven weapons: Pickens, Muth, Najee, Warren, and Patterson. I look for Darnell Washington to have a breakout year! Najee and Jaylen will rush for 1000 Yds.
The Offensive Line Has Systematically Improved with the additions of Troy Fautanu, Zach Frazier, and Mason McCormick who can play Guard and Center which adds quality depth to the OL. McCormick would be a starter on most NFL teams.
The Defense will be TOP 5
With the addition of Patrick Queen and Payton Wilson we have two athletic ILB's that can play sideline to sideline and cover TE's and RB's which the Steelers hasn't had since Ryan Shazier! Also, the addition of SS Elliott improves the Steeler 3 Safety Package Scheme that they employ 25% of the time. This will allow Minkah to be the Ball Hawk he is. Beanie Bishop at the SLCB and the resigning of Cam Sutton provide Depth at SCLB and CB2 or CB3 as Donte Jackson brings his 4.3 to the Secondary with JPJ taking the second year Leap! The CB room has quality potential that is untested depth with Darius Rush, Cory Trice, Ryan Watts all between 6"'2" and 6'3" and 200lbs + with 4.4 speed plays with physicality. This is a classic Tomlin's CB Room. KEY Point Payton Wilson hasn't had an injury since 2021!
To finalize the Roster, I would sign Calias Campbell to help the DL. I am looking for Benton to take the leap in year 2. And to add quality depth I would resign Kwon Alexander ILB, Golden OLB, and Eric Rowe S all play very well for the Steelers Last year. Courtland Sutton and Simmons would be luxury Trade and signings, but I would pursue them.
The Steelers own the Ravens and have beaten them 7 of the last 8. LJ8 has his worse QB passer rating versus the Steelers at 67.4 with 6td and 7ints and 20 Sacks and 1-3 record.
Watson has never beaten the Steelers he is 0-2.
Burrel Dominates the Steelers but we did have a 4 INT Game versus him in the Season opener in 2022. But with the additions on Defense, I think the Steelers will contain him and slow him down enough to let RW3 Cook! Key Point All Three QB's have injury history: LJ8, Watson, and Burrell and the Backups are average, but the Steelers have Justin Fields as their Back Up!
The 2024 Steelers win 12 Games and win the AFC North and make it to the AFC Championship. Steelers were 5-1 in the Division in 2023.

I find it hilarious that they act like we lost a starter with Geno Stone... like everyone has completely forgotten Marcus Williams 😂 Geno wasn't even the starter. And I think anyone would take Wiggins over Darby.
Because they think he was a starter and a complete safety. Which he is neither. He's a very good complimentary 3rd Safety. And a above average fill in starter. But he's no Marcus Williams. Geno is a liability in run stop. Marcus tackles better with torn pectoral than Stone. But outside people just see his interceptions and just think he was our main guy. Little do they do know.
The Bengals got Geno Stone to be the deep coverage safety, which he does very well. he had 7 picks last year! the Bengals also don't need him to be a great run stopper with Battle and Bell at SS. look for the Bengals to run a lot of 3 safety sets this year, which i believe they will do very well. Ravens fans are down playing Geno's impact and he will definitely be missed on their Defense.
@@tylerh8130 He wasn't even a starter. Bengals and Steeler fans will realize Patrick queen and Geno stone were elevated by the rest of the team and wil probably not preform on the same level.

FCK YES lol... was he in the right spot at the right time.. absolutely... thats because Mike Mcdonald was a damn good coordinator. For the last 4 yrs he hasn't even been able to take the job from Clark for god sake let alone Marcus. You Bengals waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy overpaid a decent zone cover guy who can't tackle and gets scared to run the ball back to the end zone. He's not a first string safety and I was delighted that the Bungholes took him.

What team made the playoffs, beat the Ravens twice (weird situations i get it, but it happened), made distinct improvements at key positions (no one really is arguing that they did not improve), but is still expected by most analysts to go 6-8 wins.... Steelers.... Tomlin will will this team above .500. How, not sure, but he is not just losing 8 straight to lose the season like people predict. He willed the 2023 team to the playoffs... THEY HAD MORE GAMES THAN F***ING TOUCHDOWN THROWS >>> PLAYOFFS. The man will work with what he is given and produce a top level team. Like he always does. How many times in a row does something need to happen before people begin to expect it rather than find it odd. Also, I will say this schedule is designed to kill Tomlin's streak, but game on. If he makes it this year, all the Tomlin doubters will just look foolish... I mean they already do, but they still out there trying to doubt on a future hall of fame head coach

My guess: Division winner is between Browns and Bengals.

Only media cares about Flacco browns fans are 100%behind watson who went 5-1 last yr
I'm from Cleveland and go to most home games. The fans definitely have booed watson more over the last 2 years than they have cheered for him. He just hasn't played well. Sure the team wins games but they had the number 1 defense last year. And watson ranks 38th in qbr since joining the browns. I'd say most fans feel exactly how kay does. Why get rid of joe when he clearly played better than watson

@@Cavsallday86 flacco ended 2023 leading the nfl in yards per game with 323 he threw 13 tds and had 9 turnovers. Watson averaged 185 yards per game and threw 7 tds and had 6 turnovers. Flaccos td to turnover ratio was way better then watsons. Flacco had a better qbr, pff grade, and passer rating too. Sorry those are all facts, I know they can be hard for a fan to handle. Flacco simply put has been better, but that's not saying much watson has been terrible.

Hey Kay, what would you say if you discovered that Watson won as many games as Flacco won? 😮
She would then look at there stats and see who was better. Both players have same record, but flacco had a better qbr, passer rating, pff grade. Flacco also had more yards and tds than watson too.
Hey@anthonypa8045, does that mean you believe the qb rating & statistics mean more than wins? The NFL doesn’t subscribe to that type of logic. Let’s see if you will believe that if at end of this season Watson leads the Browns to more wins and Allen (Bills) has better stats! Because if Watson wins 14 games with the Browns and Allen leads the league in passing yards and completions, but the Bills only have 6 wins, the NFL will reward the Browns with a playoff berth. Allen will win a spot on the All-Star game! 😂🤣🏈
@@duanelumpkin4400 flacco was 4-1, watson was 4-1. Same record, both had the same number of wins Duane. But flacco looked like a nfl qb when he was winning, all his stats were very good. While watsons stats were very bad. Do you get it now? I'll say it again Flacco won the same number of games watson did. But looked much better while doing it. Flacco didn't have to rely on the defense to shut out the other team.
Russ will be the Steelers’ guy, and it won’t be close. He’s not going to let Tomlin decide. He’s a savvy athlete, and he knows he must take the issue out of the coaches’ hands.

Ahem, excuse me, but the #1 HISTORICALLY good defense in the NFL in 2023 belongs to the Cleveland Browns. Look up the stats.
If Dashawn Watson is just an above average QB this year the Browns could win the division. Even average QB play can get them there.
I agree but that is a big IF. Watson has yet to look average or better since 2020.

@@shamonwalker4575 the teams record is a team stat. The defense held 3 of those 4 opponents to 6 points combined. (Cincy-3,ten-3, ari-0) we didn't need out offense to even take the field to win those games. He threw 7 tds and had 6 turnovers in 6 starts this year. He ranks 38th in qbr over the last 2 years and has only completed 59% of his passes. He is bad at every single individual passing stat. Do not be fooled by wins. That is a whole team stat. Remember we had the number one defense and we also won games with dtr and pj walker.
@@anthonypa8045 I agree but think stats don’t tell the full story I know you’ve seen the flashes but through rewatching the games I think it was a offensive fit issue I don’t think we were set up for Deshaun to be great at what he’s great at. With his only reliable target being Amari cooper ( who they double teamed),a rookie Jerome ford, drop issues (because of switching qbs), and injuries ofc I think he deserves more credit Especially with the amount of football he has missed.

It's hard when he was just soo much better than watson in almost every passing stat though. Qbr, passer rating, pff grade, yards, tds. Literally every stat that matters for a qb. Joe topped watson in last year. And Joe played 1 less game
@@anthonypa8045 against teams that had weak secondary, plus the fact he knew if he turned the ball over the defense was so good enough to get it right back until said defense was injured in the playoffs where the (defense) needed a Quarterback to help them he could not deliver in fact, gave the game away!!! He is not bettering than Watson he’s not even better than Baker 🧑🍳! Who also was a turnover machine.
@@Mikeswagger470 the defense let up 31 points in that playoff game, Stroud led the offense to 4 tds on our #1 defense. That's too much for most nfl qbs to overcome, especially a backup qb. But joe did throw for over 300 yards and led the offense to 2 tds that made up for the 12 points on pick 6's. But yea every single passing stat says that both flacco and baker have been better than watson since the trade. Both baker and Joe have a better qbr, passer rating, and pff grade than watson and both flacco and baker have a better td to turnover ratio than watson, they both also average more yards and tds per game than watson. So if every single stat says they are better than watson the last 3 years. I'm going to say they whare both better than watson too. Plus joe won comeback player of the year, and baker won another playoff game and won probowl mvp this year. So you can have ur opinion that watson is better, but the FACT is both baker and watson have been statistically better since 2021.
@@anthonypa8045 was our starting safety playing NO in fact the safety that was playing was the same CJ Stroud cooked at practice at Ohio state, plus the rest of the injuries, but when you throw TWO PICK SIXES for TD and I don’t know if you played sports before but it’s EXTREMELY DEFLATING and difficult to watch your QB give away the game! And try to mount a comeback trust me he was on the COUCH for a reason!!

Once again he led the browns in every important passing stat, led the team to the playoffs, and won an nfl award. Most people in the nfl think that he had a much better year then watson did. Sorry that you can't handle that

I couldn't agree more with you kay! The browns should have brought flacco back he was such a spark for that offense like u said he led the nfl in ypg averaging 323, when watson plays he only averages 185 ypg. And since becoming a brown Deshaun ranks 38th in qbr. 38th! He has been such a disappointment since the browns traded 3 first round picks for him. I think the reason they didn't bring him back is because the fans fell in love with him, and his success was a big threat to watson. As soon as watson starts playing bad again the fans would start chanting for flacco and ownership felt like deshaun could not handle that. Love the show great job.
dont think Watson could'nt handle the threat. i think they want to support the 230 million dollar man, instead of creating unneeded tension. Browns ownership made a smart move. these are people, and from a human persepctive makes sense to get a different backup QB.
@@kiaadams104 from a business and football perspective it doesn't any sense. Flacco went 4-1 and led the team to the playoffs. He also led the nfl is passing yards per game and threw twice as many tds as deshaun in less games played. He led the browns in qbr, passer rating, and pff grade too. So you had a qb who proved he can step in and win, and put up huge numbers when needed. And you just get rid of him to not have tension. I say it's a open compition every year if deshaun continues to play poorly. Best qb should start. I don't care about contracts as a fan. I want to see the best player play and all the stats say that was joe flacco.
Flacco’s record was the same as Watson’s (4-1).
Flacco lost the Brownies that playoff game with his 4 INT performance, and gifted Texans two back to back TD's. Can Flacco play a full season at 40 years old? Can Flacco protect the ball? Flacco threw 8 INTs in 4 games. Stop romanticize Flaccos time with Browns. He almost lost the Bears game throwing all those picks and his playoff performance was horrible.
Moving forward, The Browns are better off getting the younger QB with more upside the support he needs and see if you cant get him back to playing in top form, like he did with Texans.
Keep eating up that national sheep food. The Browns are great with or without Watson simply due to the defense and a 2x coach of the year. Beat the 9ers with PJ Walker. Made Flacco look like peak Flacco for a stretch. Picked up serious depth in the draft and free agency. Got a light schedule the first half of the season to get the new offense going. Burrow is one injury away from going on the “prone “ list.
Russ is going to ruin what was left of the Steelers culture.
Baltimore is my only real worry and we’ll see about the second half of the schedule. It’s a pretty make or break season but I see 12 wins for Cleveland.

By not keeping Mason Rudolph, and bringing in the two worst QBs from '21-'23, the Steelers did NOT improve their QB room. As a life-long Steelers fan, this angers me. Get ready for 7 wins, tops.
Our defense kept those QBs in it until Mason started and he didn't do much
