Wow no one has ever put this concept in better words, simplicity is what makes it sophisticated. Sometimes we beat ourselves up (I know I do) for not having found our path yet because we feel we are not living up to our full potential and forget to be patient and enjoy the journey. I tend to compare myself with the geniuses who are gifted and having success in what they love very early in life but everybody’s journey is different and comparison is one of the greatest form of self disrespect ❤
I am just getting into Robert. I really like him! I hate reading books like this however, I rather talk to someone, I feel I get more out of it, especially when dealing with the self. I am curious if he has classes or something.
Thanks for making your youtube channel Robert it's come to be very helpful! since I had been researching about emotional intelligence I got your Human Nature audiobook. Your work ties into me trying to improve my emotional intelligence. my awareness of myself and others is something that is important like it is to everybody, but circumstances of mental illness and such... well it made me stop caring about others. and shy away from people because of past trauma. And it's something you have to keep trying to be good at. If you stop you will regress.
It took me many years to discover what I love to do. The problem is that to do it, I have to spend most of my time promoting myself on social media, and this is something I really don't enjoy doing. I didn't consider that and will have to find a compromise.
While I can agree with all that you've said, the issue lies in its simplicity. Talent wise, I've won awards for art. However, while it comes naturally, it does not come passionately. Passionately, I'm inclined towards music, which does not come naturally. But this is all just commonality. Most people live and die following the common path of simplicity or passion; personally speaking, thats just not enough for me. Purpose is one hell of a concept. To place purpose in the respect of emotionality, is withholding any other valuable attributes one might have to take a more challenging path. In example; the idea of Einstein pursuing music because he felt emotionally inclined to it. As we all do, which is why music is a common path, and that's my point. The possibilities that exist within us and the power that we all have to change the world, is in the detriment of emotional pursuit. As most married couples would commonly share about the dreams they gave up after pursuing one another. The world will never reach any maximum potential with humans being predisposed to current common pursuits or emotional direction. There's a pattern to our behavior. Which is why we have similar inclinations to things like music, love, or attention, to name a few. But the brain is capable of so much more. The human brain has progressed society so far because of challenges. Emotional pursuit is not a challenge, it's humanistic design. I believe there's better advice to cogitate to direct someone's consideration to their own purpose. Everyone should know the world is at their fingertips and what they have to offer in their brief lifespan, exceeds any of humanities preceding repeated vocational or emotional inclinations of current existence.
Adventure and fun are key elements to me. My work is developing information systems that remember the past as they are updated. To me it is likke like stealing from Satan. When I figure out a better way to do it it makes me really happy. Those breakthrough moments are what keeps me working through the difficult parts.
I can only thank you Robert for the work that you do. These topics are very difficult to grasp, and some of us reach our 40s, unhappy and lost. You are saving some people from this, and we can only appreciate it immensely. Thank you.
Many things make me passionate, for example philosophy, journalism or architecture. Trouble is, unless you have exceptional skills, in those fields, there's no real future in them, if like most of us you have to earn a living.
Robert is right in saying that you gotta hone your skills overtime. but at the same time, the reality is the supply and demand. So you are also right. Greene merely helps you see the direction. Warren Buffet said the same thing. what would you do if you didn't need money? it helps but it does not solve how the economy runs. So I think it's best to do a mix of both and more importantly find what makes you GREAT as opposed to what you simply love. Becoming a singer is a terrible idea for most. But you could always work on something that has elements of music in it that makes you great. In that sense both do help. Just don't expect yourself to become a professional singer. That's how I would see it. Because it does come down to supply and demand and we do not need that many singers in this world. That doesn't change and we do not need to fight the world for it.
@@hahahahaha7824 It's not really supply and demand. If you're exceptionally good at something you can make your own demand. If you're a singer song writer like Elton John, you don't have to worry about demand, they'll find you. The trouble is, by definition, most of us aren't exceptional, which is a problem if what makes you passionate is something that requires extraordinary ability to make a decent living. That's not to say you can't still enjoy things you aren't exceptional at: many people enjoy playing musical instruments as a hobby. I read philosophy in my spare time and enjoy it, but it's unlikely to make me a decent living. My career is something that I'm not passionate about, but it earns a decent enough living to pay the bills.

I spent my 20s in rock bands, partying, and working dead end low wage jobs to pay cheap rent in a ghetto with bullet holes in my wall. Started back at school at 25, graduated with 4 year degree at 28, joined the military as a reservist at 29, got a career with the military at 32, and now I make $90k per year, I've established career capital, and am in the middle of a huge promotion by basically creating a new position for myself at work. I'm 35, I have a wife and a son, I have money saved for or a home, and I'm getting my graduate degree to earn even more money at work. Im just now beginning to discover my life's task through skills I've picked up over the years from just being curious and finding things I like to do.I'm not from the third world, but I came from having very little and no ambitions to do anything meaningful with my life and in 10 years I completely turned everything around. With that dirt, they may be threatened, or if that isnt possible, it would be better to just tempt them with some other incentives, or just outright intimidate them and threaten them to have them cast out of the party, or they could just be directly persuaded.

I feel like it’s Japanese and Chinese but become so neurotic and frustrated with it feel like maybe I need a new angle. We can come to hate it seemingly
I think this might be true for many too. Not everybody is born with a strong talent or gift or love for something that the economy has enough demand for. If you want it, you create it as long as it has enough demand for it.
i can see that you're referring to those who are in their early 20s, and also late 30s/early 40s, but what about those who are 30 and trying to solve this, i feel that you missed the people in this middle gap who is between "young and older"

I believe this is also the case. But those who are longing for one are probably more likely to have one but cannot find out because they were conditioned to seek immediate employment.
This is exactly the problem with this thinking. I think what Greene could have helped was maybe for younger students or people in early twenties who could maybe go into jobs like teaching that can combine music with a job. The economy does not need singers or professional musicians. It has wayyy more supply than it needs. So I think these kinds of advice help out younger adults more who could easily go back to school for a career change. It also helps older crowds in maybe finding a side job that pays. I always tell my students not to become attached to jobs that will most likely never pay. However, I do teach them to find something that is a mix of both worlds that works. Supply and demand is very very important. However, we do have the option of finding side jobs. I still don't think you should continue making music. However, your love for music can be utilized for something that generates extra income. That way you may develop a business opportunity while you do something that's related to music. Chasing dreams is cool and all but on average, people are happier with jobs that pay. That's the ugly truth. In that sense, I think doing what makes you great is better than finding the job you like. So then the conclusion is that you should try to balance it out but if you can't it's better to do what you are better at. (again if it's music, then no.) lol.

You create your purpose, you don’t find it.
I think this might be true for many too. Not everybody is born with a strong talent or gift or love for something that the economy has enough demand for. If you want it, you create it as long as it has enough demand for it.

The only useful purpose of the present birth is to turn within and realize the Self.

I am concerned about this guys neck
i can see that you're referring to those who are in their early 20s, and also late 30s/early 40s, but what about those who are 30 and trying to solve this, i feel that you missed the people in this middle gap who is between "young and older"
The same advice for those in their early 20s applies, except with more urgency.
I began accumulating wealth when I started following up my investment properly, The value of expert mentorship cannot be overstated. Without proper mentoring, people tend to make mistakes and loose money. This is why I prefer to invest with Juliann Hart because her methods are unique and extremely profitable-
Overtime I have come across people earning consistent returns with the assistance of a professional manager but how do I find one? This is something that piques my interest-

mastery?
Hello sir.
If you enjoy ideas about masculinity and mastery, I invite you to explore the videos I share on the Mastery Order Channel.
Challenge yourself with some concepts about manhood, explore your masculine potential to the maximum and become the kind of man you would admire.
We can only better ourselves together, as men among men, so I invite you to use what I share and, of course, share your own opinions so that others can benefit from them as well.
All the best to you!
Not everyone has a life purpose
I believe this is also the case. But those who are longing for one are probably more likely to have one but cannot find out because they were conditioned to seek immediate employment.

Every day when I get home from work I make music.
Bills unfortunately have to be payed
