There are 4 little bushings behind the airbag/horn panel. Those wear out and make it easy to trigger the horn. When I bought my 993 mine were so bad that every time I hit the brakes the horn would go off lol.
I love the 993, but then again I have had one for over 20 years! I have a 1997 Vesuvio Edition C2S. I am 70, but when I drive it, I am 18 again. I have loved Porsches, 911s primarily, since I was13. I hoped you enjoyed driving one as much as I do. By the way, keep the RPMs higher. You were lugging the engine.
Nice. I've a 1996 993 C2 iris blue metallic, 67,000 miles, 6-speed manny tranny, varioram, LSD. Multi-show full-concours winner. No CEL, no oil leaks. Runs like a Swiss watch. I do my own maintenance. I'm never selling it.
I like the blue+blue/grey interior. I'll die on this hill gladly. Which is funny because the 992.2 Carrera T is in Gentian Blue trim spec, released today.
Only novice 911 owners or drivers call it a “Frunk”. What you call a “hood” is a deck lid. Have owned a Porsche since 1974. Now you have finally understood why Porsche has been so successful. Go find a nice 356C, a 911S 2.4 litre, and a 911SC 3.0 litre. They all have their own unique characteristics. And finally, drive a 997 or 991.
Why do you jiggle the shifter so much? It increases wear unnecessarily (linkage, return springs, selector fork, sychro sleeve, etc.) and is a horrible habit from Ted... Put the thing in neutral, keep your foot on the brake, and slowly let the clutch out.
Uh no? The Forte left that 911 for dust on the highway LOL.. It was pulling away even on full throttle. Likely it was just obeying speed limits on backroads. Anyways, they were buddies hence going to the same way the whole time. The Kia driver might have even been the 911 owner.
"Keep accidentally bumping the horn" -> "keep telling that Kia Forte pace car to hurry up" lol. Nice driving!

@@Craina-gk8uzthis carried over to the early 986 and 996 cars with the 4 spoke wheel too. Literally fixing this issue right now 😂
I've driven every generation, and 993 is one of my favorites, if not my favorite.
What an honour to have driven every generation that’s awesome man. I love the 993 glad it’s the favourite of a person who’s has driven them all 🤝
lucky guy

One of the most beautiful looking cars ever
I just want that gauge cluster in one of my cars. I'm a watch lover and love a good set of analog gauges.
Agreed.... And the most important gauge is in the large one in the middle.
goodness gracious what a beautiful freaking spec
THE best looking 911 generation.
LOL stop the cap, most Porsche owners think 993 is the ugliest 911.
@ hopefully I become an owner one day and change my mind too :)
@@challenger516 LOL stop the cap, most Porsche owners think 996 is the ugliest

The creaky rattly interior gives it character. I love it lol
Good video. My 993 Turbo had the same color interior. Polar Silver exterior
This is the yr I graduated high-school. Sweet ride.
90’s sports cars were top notch
Love this video wish it was longer!
No rev hang, love it!
I know those roads well in Peoria. Great drive and review.

Most underrated channel ever
Thank you for this video
Thank you for paying proper homage to the finest doors ever made.
1995's are antiques. I'm old lol
bots go crazy
That white car in front of you, was like 8n your; the entire video.

This is the perfect Porsche
The horn pad needs replacing - that’s why it’s sounding over bumps & bends. Common fault.
993 is my favorite 😊
Year 1995 is to old school but still see best
How does it compare to your 987?

Amazing car
Cool car.
What’s the story with the BMW 02 series in the background.
Oh cool, it's the only gen 911 I've ever driven.
the blinker going back looks cool
that kia may be faster, but you're having way more fun lol.
The 993 and 964 are arguably the two best 911s. I will say the 997.2 and 991.1 / 991.2 are great drivers as well. And both extremely sharp.
That Kia tho! Vroom
993
Bad Boys car.
bad boys movie car was a 964 Turbo 3.6
💯 exactly.... @@Freimopp777
Bouncy
I'm absolutely lost as to why this is so expensive
Clean car but needs wheels
that is NOT how to properly shut the frunk you will bend it that way
How do you do it? genuinely curious, in the market for one. thanks.
So many bots damn

Gotta caress and jiggle it thoroughly if given the opportunity.
L take
dude, The Kia was restricting your drive, what a waste...
Probably a requirement to drive the car since it's worth so much.
