- Lets look at a near new condition 1995 993 911 Carrera Cabriolet with my car which is also a 1995 993 911 Carrera Cabriolet but with a few more miles.

So pleased you kept the 993 rather than chase the latest and greatest ( plenty of channels do that - boring)- also you’ve taken to Cabriolet love- if people were honest they get the roof down more than the back out! I drive a 125i bmw m sport cab manual, right size, right power (285 Euro chip) smooth, analog- will run into the ground - yours will prob last longer 👍
Your aware he had two brand new 991 cars, however Nick broke both...
How lucky I feel....turning the key on my '96 cab, revving and rowing through the gears, air conditioning keeps me just cool enough (FL), park it anywhere and still get 25 mpg....life is good
I’m glad you compared these. So many people are afraid of a high mileage 993, but they’re pretty awesome cars
8000 miles over 30 years is a form of abuse, it needs to be rescued.
That Silver 911, wow! Definitely a lottery car.
Welcome back nick!! Been missing your content !
Wow!!! Great video Nick. Having owned 17 Porsches I have a special place in my memory and heart for the 911 car. I currently drive a 2019 991.2 911 Turbo S coupe in Guards Red. My favorite paint colors for 911 are Indigo Blue, Polar Silver & Amazon Green. If I ever purchase another new 911 I will order the car using the Paint to Sample (PTS) and get Amazon Green again.
I owned a 1993 964 911 RS America 🇺🇸 in Polar Silver!!! I should have NEVER sold the car. It sells for $240K now. New it was 63K and I sold it after owning it for 7 years for 59K. It was the best Sports car I ever owned!!! I have had several cars so we live and learn!!!! Cheers Brother‼️
Welcome back home😎👍👊🇺🇸❤️
Welcome back! Love the comparison and b-roll 😂
Wow, love that C2S at the end. So nice.
Nick hi buddy your back. Missed you!!
I love that you took a beat to shit 911 and made it presentable. You didn't go crazy, but you made it an everyday car and you actually use it. I can't stand guys on BAT bitching about how some carrera saw snow once and now nobody will touch it. Its a car, drive the fucking thing. Also you're spot on about being the right size to weight. Since I can't afford a 993 I"ll have to settle for my 987 boxster which basically has identical power to weight and definitely gives that smaller car feeling that is so lost in the modern era.
I traded a 987 Boxster S for my current 981 Spyder. Sadly in the garage mostly now.
"This car is my spirit animal" - Great to have you back buddy! What happened to the in car sound?
I had to wind back the sound to reduce the excessive wind noice. Damn these open tops, make filming a nightmare
I have followed Sloan Motors for decades. Brett is making his dad proud.
If you are new to 993s, this is a masterclass of what to look for. You can spend months on Rennlist's 993 forum and not have this level of insight. Great video, Nick! (from an ex-1998 C4S owner who is waiting for my next one to appear).
Oh wow that 993 Carrera S 🤩
I am probably getting old but i appreciate these kind of videos :p thanks for sharing :)
I have been missing my Nick fix!!!
Great video! I had a '97 Carrera and a '98 C2S. Still scheming to get a third one that I will not be stupid enough to sell. Great memories and they make my '24 Targa 4S look like an SUV (almost).
Oh great, the obligatory 13.2 months have passed....we now get to see a Porsche video.
@@j.3854 yes be grateful 😜
@@NickMurrayWe are!!🎉🎉
Outstanding comparison, Nick! I really enjoyed this video. You just don't get to see new and used cars like this side-by-side very often and this was a really great perspective. Thanks very much! -Tom.
Welcome back Nick! Interesting content, as usual. Many thanks.
I love your passion for these cars 😊
I feel the same way about the 987.2 cayman/boxster. Any chance you could do a video on one of those someday?
Fantastic Drive my 95 almost every day. Getting close to 120k miles. Wash and drive.
Nick’s car looks good in blue. I like the size of the 993
👀👀👀👀👀, I thought I was seeing things. Yayyyy Nick is back 🤩🥳
One of the most pleasant surprises of my life was learning how bustling the Australian car scene is. I’ve always wanted to visit Australia and New Zealand and this will make those future visits so much better.
Nick n his unique content subject n direction 😅 where’s the 992.2 interior rant ?
I love white 993 Cabs! Reminds me of Master Roshi’s 911 driving with Goku and Krillin on Dragonball
I knew it !!! Nick turns green in the daylight, he must be a Kiwi-Daywalker 3:23 🧛🦇✞
Your blue 993 looks great! I'd tidy it up a little personally 😅. That C2S looks amazing shame it will be stuck in collectors garage forever.
Maybe a review of the holy grail 997.2 rs 4.0?
Thanks Nick. Saw the 993 at the Frankfurt IAA when presented as a new model. Great...
we may have crossed paths then, my dad took me to the IAA in the 90s every two years as well.
3:31 I thought this is a dress up party and the wicked witch of the west was at the wheel 😅
Just when i thought I knew everything about my '95 993, you drop the dual air horn fact on me! Unbelievable!
Many of those 95 horns fail, Pelican has a solution. But it's not as good.
a lot to be said for a car that you enjoy so much but don't have to be super careful with but that silver coupe is stunning.
That 4K mile 993 looks right up Feresten and Zuckerman's ally wanting old 911's with no/low miles
Great to see a new video!
Sloan has the best examples, really the benchmark.
That C2S was the icing on the cake :)
That c2s is incredible, what a time for rich Porsche lovers
Nice comeback Nick, looks better in blue
We miss you and Tui, nick. Hope u r well, and that u have some more content for us soon
Nick Murray living out his Blue Angels fantasy
Buying my Porsche from Sloan was one of the best car decisions I’ve ever made! 4 years later I’m still overjoyed!
Love the Sloan reviews
That was so interesting and thanks for putting together the video
Great video!
DEALER: This is a reference example of the 993 with the fancy leather option.
NICK: (proceeds to touch every interior surface possible)
I am wondering were is the heli expo video thanks great videos
Cool video. Beautiful cars. But there's MUCH more price difference than 10K between cabriolet and coupes. I'd say about 30%.
Come on nick… that 4000 mile carrera S has your name all over it!!!!!
Sorry the white does not work for me. Your car is ace.
Waiting for an option video for the new 992.2.
Yes, please Nick!!
Good to have you back! What mounts are you using for the cameras there? I don't think I've ever seen the camera car setup before and it's impressive!
One point missed is that the 95 has ONE OXYGEN SENSOR, which can be changed in 10 minutes without jacking up the car. Later 993s have FOUR O2 Sensors, which just harshes the vibe, from a cost/complexity and amount of work required, and then they are OBDII as well. In California, this is a problem. Must have 1995!
Nick it’s nice to see you are slimmer now, the celery diet worked out 😊
RS 4.0!!! 😮
That silver C2S is my dream car. With leather ooooooooo. Come on lottery 😂
Nick, I see a silver 993 in your near future! The gorilla's are already conspiring about it! They said they want an upgrade! Happy motoring! Cheers
Don't think I will ever own a black, silver, grey or white car ever again... More green!
Brilliant as always 👍👍
Welcome back!
I need a 993 in my future stable. Best looking 911. I’d go for a coupe though.
real men drive coupes
I have one of those little beasts as well - the Boston Terrier, not the Porsche. Mine doesn't sport the wide body kit though.
Thanks Nick
Like if you want Nick to review the Cosworth at Sloan!!!
Love ❤️ the 993
lol, there was a 997 GT3RS 4.0 right next to the c2s and they completely ignore it! 😢
More 993 content!!!!
Welcome back! What was the price on the coupe?
That MUST be north of $250K.
I'll take the white Mk2 Golf please
Just sold mine, already miss it. E39 M5 replaced it😊
I predict that you're not going to buy a new Porsche in the near future, and why should you. I've never seen you so happy as with your 993 cab. 😍
As nice as these low milage examples are (at least cosmetically), I feel a bit sorry for them. They are well over 20 years old almost 30, and they were hardly driven or enjoyed. OK the original owner might have doubled his purchase money, but if you consider inflation, not really. 🤷 Also low milage examples sometimes are riddled with issues, there are horror stories especially with low milage 911's that need 10s of thousands of $$ to go back to operational status. If it was my money, I would buy a well used example like Nick's and never look back.
Agreed. Seeing these cars as investments is a silly fallacy. Had you put the 77k for this car into the S&P, you'd such have multiples more today than the resale value on the mint, low mileage 993 cab. But they, I don't judge. But I prefer to drive my 993.
How about a test drive in one of his 86/87 911
The next owner of Nick's car is gonna be sooooooo luck!
@7:09 you can check 'the hours' on the 993? please tell em how
Nick's #Porsche911 993 #CropDuster!!!! #SmokeScreen HaHa
There you go, the proof , use it or loose it
I remember i left my 1995 Maxima running for about 10 hours :) nothing happened
in a sealed garage :)
So some Ferrari Owners bought 993's too. What's the point of buying any sportscar, never mind a Porsche and not driving it?
Does anyone watching this channel know this Brahms he keeps using ? Just curious….and I wonder if he actually likes it…I personally think that would be very cool
Hey Nick, how does your car compare to the na Miata in terms of driving dynamics?
It has been a few years since I have driven an NA MX-5 however they are very different aside from both being small 90's open tops. Obviously the 993 is 900 lbs heaver which you notice but also the body is more ridged. The engine 3.6 vs 1.8 has more than 2x the power and torque, and the engine at the rear means how you take a corner at speed cannot be a last second plan as it can be in the MX-5.
Thanks. Good info@@NickMurray
Anyone know what the the vendors referring to at 5:36 when he notes the tricky handling of a “nine-fifteen” ?
915 refers to the original 911 transmission. Used up until 1986
$10K less for a cab? Seems to me the coupes are worth almost double...
❤
Why your face looks green while driving in the sun? lol
I’m sure you can figure it out! 😊
#Porsche got #DuaLipa to do some promotion and videos. Do you think you can get her to be on the channel?
Those bumperettes on the USA models look like shit. Can you take them off legally?
Not into old 911's ;-(
No one is perfect
Buy the 98 Nick you cheap bastid
I say NO to black, white, grey and silver cars.
@NickMurray Wrap it in ANY color you wish. The views you will get with thst beauty would be amazing. You'll be Schmee before you know it! 🤣
Dude, your car is NOT worth $50k... likely $30k since you owned it... lol
Maybe only $25 and a big mac combo
@@NickMurray and NOT the supersize at that!
Way overpriced
I wish 911 "cab" owners would go away. It's a 911 in name only. The owners are an embarasment to the brand. And holy crap the 993 "cab" is an ugly car.
@@andrewbroadfort6856 oh those dirty stinking cab owners, like a semen stain on the white collar shirt of Porsche the brand 😉
Ha Ha.
They sold about 30,000 993 cabriolets. Most are still on the road, and I have one of them. I take your point though. Tens of thousands of Porsche non enthusiasts dropped loads of dough on a model for no apparent reason. None at all.
@@NickMurray Exactly. 😀I'm glad you see it my way.
@@davidrose6190 And you look like an absolute prat in it.
