He is really a malaka. I mean when you load your save game, sometimes you can see a hint which says something like "Markos is very selfish but he always will help you when you are in trouble". But the whole fckn game I've never seen him helping me with any of my missions. In fact, it was always me saving his ass whenever he has problems.

Such an epic way to introduce a setting and character! Watching Ikaros fly over the beautiful Greek islands and eventually panning to Alexios/Kassandra humming this melody is absolutely magical. Excellent start to an excellent game.

I dont care if this “isnt an AC game” because the game is simply brilliant. The ambientation and script is just beautiful and from the beginning you feel very identified with your character
aside from the story being great, it de facto is associated with Assassins because it shows the very roots of everything. It doesn't have to be "LOOK, THIS IS AN ASSASSIN, BECAUSE HE HAS A HOOD AND A SYMBOL ON HIS BELT" all the time in order for it to be considered an Assassin's Creed game.

I just don't like Odyssey as a whole, especially compared to Origins, which was just awesome in my opinion. The dialogue was boring (and the options absolutely unnecessary..I never asked for shitty romance either. I used to play AC to get away from the regular rpg mechanics...and now they included these into the game. Yay.) and I couldn't even skip it. The amount of "MALAKA" said in the game is so upsetting that I get triggered everytime I hear it. The story is boring,plus deciding the gender of the main character is just not that great. You clearly can notice that the story was written for Kassandra,not Alexios. Why even have that option then?
The fact that you are on your ship a lot of the time doesn't make it better for me as well, since 1. I have motion sickness and get dizzy and nauseous whenever I'm on a ship (not the game's fault, of course, but doesn't improve mu opinion of Odyssey) 2. It's wobbling around a lot unlike in Origins with fast boats 3. The ship missions are always the most tedious ones and you get attacked on sea 24/7
The idea of Odyssey is also a bit...off? You had Origins, which was supposed to show the origins of the Assassins...Alright. That's logical...And now we go even further back in time?? To the origin of the origin? How does that makes sense.
You know, originally Origins was supposed to have missions in it where you could travel to Greece, right? I assume that the designs and everything was already decided on, but Origins was already big enough without Greece as an addition, and Ubishit decided to make more money of of it (as usual) and just expand the already decided Greece-part. Because it 100% feels like it. And I believe that is why people say it isn't an AC to them anymore, as it feels more like a knockoff AC fan game than an actual AC with pretty decent mechanics, story, gameplay and feel to it.

That was one of the best stories I've ever played
This song was played at the funeral of a best friend of mine. He wished it. He died of cancer. We both loved the Assassin's Creed parts and played everything together until Odyssey. It totally reminds me of him and the good times. R.I.P David.

I realized that I was a total fool. After that I wanted to go Greece. And I did. It was amazing. I love you Greece.

One of the best games I've ever played. There's not enough studios out there delving into antiquity and mythology. Ultimately it's been such a treat that that Ubisoft did this through Assassin's Creed. I need more stuff like this.

Ac is my favorite game, I've played every single one, multiple timesx but don't know whats all that ezio fanboy shit. For me the best AC are the last 2 - origins and odyssey, cuz they are long and theres a lotta stuff to do unlike thw first assassins where u keep doing the same quests over and over till u reveal the templars.

Is it normal that the lyrics in the song differs so much from the Modern Greek text? I'm learning Greek but couldn't understand a single word =(
@@user-du6tk6tv1e It is if what you are hearing is much older than the modern text version of this. And this would go for any language (except Arabic, I think). I will give you two examples below: the first, search Ελευθερία Αρβανιτάκη & Σταύρος Σιόλας - Στην Πλάτη Του Καιρού and find my comment from 1 month ago under the clip. There I give the modern Greek lyrics to this lovely ancient-sounding song as well as a translation into Ancient Greek by ChatGPT. the second search Running up that hill Cover in Early Middle English BARDCORE/MEDIEVAL version and (try to) read the Middle English (which he says very nicely) version on the left of the screen and compare it to the Modern English on the right. A perfect example and answer to your question, I believe💙🧿

I dreamed of an AC game set in the Peloponnesian War that took you all across the Greek world. I never thought they'd actually do it.
A little fantastical for my taste but apart from that it was everything I dreamed of.

The Greek language is the divine one. The Olympians are still present in each and every word, bringing us the glimpse of joy from the ancient world .
I really liked the game. It was a lot of fun doing the side quests, experiencing the stories of the people and the details as well as music in the game. I still remember the story on Mykonos and the celebration in the end. The beauty of Athens and riding through the golden fields of Sparta.I think the game has fulfilled its goal to make people go to play and sometimes searching online for the true stories or legends of greece. As far as the Assassins part is concerned, everyone can calmly have their opinion. I have not played an AC game for years and this game reminded me of the good times of AC Brotherhood and Black Flag. Hope people have fun with the game.
Code Geass lakonia is my favourite region. I just love the green beautiful fields and the red flowers, the huge snowy mountains, lush forests filled with deer, boars, wolves and bears and the amazing coasts. It’s just beautiful

@@clawclamzz5136 I have already read pretty much of it beforehand, not only the secondary sources but I also read Greek writers and historians such as Homer, Hesiod, Herodotus, Thucydides, Xenophon, Aristotle and Plato so this game was a pure pleasure for me. This is the most divine and ancient AC title ever.
It's a shame that there are many haters of this game. It teleports you to ancient Greece. The most beautifully made game ever.

When I was young, I always look for Greek mythological characters from Homer's stories in my grandmother's encyclopedia and write them in a small notebook. I was so in love with Greek literature and art that I studied and memorized Greek alphabet. Now, I wanted to learn everything about the Greeks 🇬🇷💖🇵🇭

It is really hard to understand because of the accent. But the lyrics are in ancient greek. Not an easy language to understand, even if you know modern greek.

I'm 600+ hours in it with Alexios, in Atlantis, with 2 more missions to go, until I'll finish the game and I'm already sad to see this masterpiece end. I can't wait to start NG+ with Kassandra. I've never been invested in another Assassin's Creed after Black Flag, but this one got a special place in my heart.
When I was in Laconia, and exploring to get an achievement, I remember it was morning and oh my gosh it was so beautiful. I felt like I just wanted to lay there and stay forever.

I don't understand why people are hating this game because "It's not an Assassin's Creed game, I miss Ezio", I mean, c'mon it's almost over a decade that AC II was released, things changes, you know, go play Ezio Trilogy instead, I hated all the games after AC III (except Rogue) because the gameplay was always the same and the stories were bland, I'm loving the new game style started in Origins instead! Odyssey is one of my favourite game along side with Origins and Ezio Trilogy, different yet good, that's not a problem to change things!

The Assassin order was created during Origins, which is way after Odyssey. The reason me, and a lot of others dislike the game is because there aren't any Templars or Assassins in the entire game, making it pointless. What's the next thing we are getting? You can play as Adam and Eve against the gods?
They explained the birth of Templars in this game, also, why not, we need a chapter about ISU and the rebellion started by Adam and Eve since they constantly talks about the First Civilization since the first game

The Cult are the Templars! The Cult is alive even in Origins and they'll become the Templars during history, like in the Origins' "Hidden Ones" DLC, if you kill one of them, no matter what, others will come, Bayek saw that and the enemy explained that (DLC's boss)

There are many many amazing tracks on the soundtrack but this (despite the beautiful contralto reprise of Ezio's Family) is probably my favourite.

As someone who always wished to just skip over the Assassins/Templars frame story and just dive straight into an open world historical setting, I personally think that the lack of feeling like this is an AC game works distinctly in its favor.

You are so right Henry. I just bought Origins the other day and the middle eastern themes in that game's OST are so awesome. What makes me laugh is there is an animal that makes a call randomly all the time like a horn sound in that game that sounds like crappy arab horn music, lol. Which came first? The animal's call or4 the blingey horn sound lol lol lol

It's ancient greek, but the accent is really off; not one of the easiest languages, obviously, so good job. Nice melody and voice, though.
