You cant even call it a Assassin's Creed, but its still a real good game. Play the Ezio Triology to get into the AC universe :)

I think ezio's family wasn't everything in the assassins creed franchise....People should appreciate such a wonderful game from ubisoft, rather than ignoring and saying..... We've got laila now , beside , if you really love a series , you would love knowing the background. For real , if alexios didn't defeat these beasts made by the Isu to guard 'em , who would have defeated or even discovered them.Like they would believe you if you say you saw a sphinx ? I haven't finished the game yet.
I do not agree with this hate either. The game is wonderful and i really loved it. However I'm not sure if this game fits with what Assassins creed is. This game would've had the potential to make a new excelent series.

the thing is that they made the lore not consistent, whch is why it doesn't matter what they do now, it's either far fetched or just fucked up. I love ac, it's my favorite franchise, but ubisoft doesn't care about their own lore, so the games story is all over the place.

I cry for this game , they created a masterpiece, it reminds me how important this nation was , a place of philosophy , wisdom and virtue, but now it has changed, modern Greeks dont respect their country because of their greed for more , i am glad that with this game I can go to my true "homeland " .
I have my hopes in the younger generations in Greece, to move the country forward. I know some of them and i enjoy every visit I experience in Greece. Should be proud. I also hope the situation on the greek islands regarding the refugee crisis can be solved with more european countries taking their responsibility.

This game is my favorite. You can choose from a variety of story endings, the action is cool, the music is great, and most importantly, you can see the beautiful scenery of Greece.

the Witcher 3 composer used Slavic instruments and they sound a lot like Greek but the guys from Flight used Greek instruments like the Greek Guitar so that they can keep that feeling as you explore Ancient Greece

I genuinely put Odyssey on the same level as 2 and Black Flag. Each of them had a few things that bugged me but with stories and worlds that drew me in completely. I may get called a heretic by all the OG Ezio fans but Kassandra is my favorite AC protagonist hands down.

I’ve just arrived in Santorini via cruise ship, on the way in passing by the islands I was listening to this and it was AMAZING! I don’t know why people didn’t enjoy the game, I feel like I’ve been here before from playing ACO 😁 true gamer moment for me lol
People did enjoy this game but many didn't as well. It was a hit or miss with people and it was a hit for me.
Best AC Game by a mile
I'm actually in the process of playing through AC Odyssey for a second time. I beat the game when it originally came out in 2018. I really liked it, but it wasn't in my list of top 3 AC titles, but rather top 5. However, after spending 25 hours so far on my 2nd playthrough, I'd put it up there with AC 2 and Origins in terms of quality. Sure, there have been a couple of bugs, but they didn't deter the overall experience. There is a special feeling of wonder and splendor to be able to revisit Ancient Greece all over again. Of course, I'm playing as Kassandra again. She's an absolutely amazing character. The gorgeous, vibrant and lush visuals are a sight to behold. The narrative is interesting and intriguing. I love the challenging combat, as well as fighting the many Mercenaries that I encounter throughout the journey. At times, I ride on horseback just to soak in the wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic that the game has to offer. To top it off, the soundtrack is stunning and it's an auditory treat to the ears. I'll most likely spend 200-300 hours playing AC Odyssey, but I don't mind it because I'm getting the opportunity to enjoy the amazing journey all over again. It's like meeting up with a great friend that I haven't seen in a long time. I reminisce and remember the special moments. It's good to be back!

I love this game ❤. It's clearly the best game in the world for me, I already loved ancient greece but it made me love it even more. every time I think back to the good times I had playing, it makes me happy. I keep playing it even though I finished it a long time ago. I salute the hard work of Ubisoft.
And at only 20 €, I could have bought it much more expensive without problem.

The Isu were a part of AC, but not the main part. It was about a brotherhood with hoods and hidden blades, fighting a dangerous order.
Dont get me wrong, I still liked this game, and dont care if one game in the franchise tried something different, but i can still understand the hate.. The thing about AC is, that AC is a franchise about many things: Assassins and templars, good story, open world, combat, parkour... But it seems Ubisoft doesnt care about the assassins, templars and parkour, instead just makes huge open world rpgs, while many fans dont care about the huge open world that much, and want a better story about the assassins... I still like the newer AC games, but its sad that they dont try to make good open world and good ac games at the same time, and mainly focus on the open world...
@@z0ck3y23 they are essentially giving us what we wanted after syndicate. Don't blame it on Ubisoft at all. We ,fans are more responsible for the present state of affairs regarding the ac franchise than anyone else. We were the ones who started complaining about the formula getting stale and wanted something different and so ubisoft delivered but here we are, complaining again and wanting ubisoft to return to their old ways? Pull off your nostalgic glasses and accept the change for a company can't keep going back and forth all the time. I'm glad that they have firmly planted their foot on this direction.
@@Voiddrifter725 You can say whatever you want, there is no denying that the newer games suck in terms of being an ac game. They are decent open world rpg games, like i said, i dont hate the new games. In fact, i loved that origins tried something new and brought frish air to the franchise, it really did need that after Unity and Syndicate. I have over 100 hours in odyssey and 60 in Valhalla and had fun in both games, but i still want them to be assassins creed. While Odyssey and Valhalla are decent open world rpg games, they are no ac games anymore. I want them to be both. Thats my main issue. And thats an issue that needs to be fixed, its not a matter of opinions. Its called assassins creed after all, do you really blame people for hating the newer games when they expect an ac game from a game thats called "ac"? Changing gameplay is what needed to be done, like i said, i loved that in origins, but there is no excuse for the story not being about the assassins anymore...
@@z0ck3y23 if you were really paying attention to the complaints in the past then you should have noticed that the complaints were about the same repetitive story as well. We ourselves wanted something different with the story as well and ubisoft delivered yet here we are, complaining once again on different points.
Brings me back to when I'd get home from school everyday back in 2018/2019 and play this for hours, I know this isn't a lot of peoples favorite AC game but this one holds a special place for me and Kassandra is the goat.

This game is pure MASTERPIECE. Forget GTA V, RDR2, Witcher 3, and whatever people call masterpiece nowadays, this game right here is pure perfection. Ubisoft did everything right with this game. Endless gameplay and kickass from left and right. And not to mention, the game in someway is educational. Greek mythology is so well done here. The game is gorgeous. Thank you Ubisoft!

I remeber getting out of hospital afte rmy fight with cancer and in the hospital I saw the annoucment for ac oddyesy and when I heard the music I was in tears!
One of the top 10 of my favorite games ever made.
The music, the characters, the gameplay... Even side quests were entertaining and felt like more than the usual fetch missions.

Just recently started playing this.
It’s the only game besides RDR2 that has been able to get me fully invested in the development of the character.
Playing as Cassandra, it’s been an awesome experience developing her into what is in my opinion the Special Operations Warrior of their time.
It’s a hell of a game. Well done Ubisoft. Well done.
