    You're spot on. The DSC controller is incredible, making a great car even better. Add the Tractive DDA shocks to even further transform the car. They're awesome!

    After many months and other mods i finally have one of these units
    sports mode much improved and the it remembers what mode it was left in after shutting the car off.
    The Sports and PASM buttons now function independently
    normal mode i can't say i feel a difference but need some more time

    nice, just picked one up for my 997.1 turbo. wondering how differently (if at all) the DSC will interact with the awd compared to the rwd 911s.

    Great video...I have a 997.1, do you feel, and this may only be in the 997.1, that this helps alleviate the bouncing around/overreacting to bumps/road imperfections in normal mode? I live in L.A., where roads are very abnormal, and my main complaint with the suspension, in normal mode, is that over a bump/imperfection in the road, the car's suspension will overreact and bounce around at higher speeds..70-80 mph. All this is gone when going into sport mode...but I would prefer not having to drive in the mode all the time...especially with my wife in the car.

    How are you getting on with the dsc now? Would you still recommend it? I’m not sure if I should get it on my 997.1 or not...

    Car Fanatic, thank you for you wonderful videos! I have a 997.2 4S. Are you still a believer in the DSC Sport Suspension Controller now that you've had it for awhile? I am thinking about buying one for my car.

      Thanks for the support and encouragement! I am so used to it now that I don't remember what it was like stock. Unless you're going to be doing track work, I don't think you need it. The car has great handling as is.

    Great video and thanks for doing it. I have 987.2 and definitely would like to install this unit. I'm assuming you drive in normal mode with the dsc most of the time. I'll no longer have to wish my pasm button was on my steering wheel. ;)

    Purchasing a 997.1 S with PASM, after long term ownership of this.. What is your take away? Is it worth the cost?
    Really appreciate the video comparison! Definitely an improvement.

    I could see the difference subtly in the video but I'm sure it was felt more than the video picked up. That price tag tho.... You must've really felt the difference, because $1200 is a hell of an investment. Do you track you 997.2 at all? Curious on your opinion in that setting where the road is smoother and you can really get a feel for the performance gain.

      +K1dPhresh1 yeah, the camera couldn't capture everything. The car was perfectly composed in normal mode. I think the sport mode could use more tuning for this particular road. The front dampers seemed to stiffen up a bit too much, which didn't allow to front end to rotate as easily as normal mode. I don't track my car, but may in the future. The module could definitely improved handling even further with a proper tune. Being able to change a few numbers to drastically alter handling feels like I'm playing Gran Turismo!

      Car Fanatic Gran Turismo, now offered in real life! Definitely capture some video when/if you do a track session. It's just about the most fun you can legally have in a car. My wife got me a HPDE for our anniversary 3.5 years ago and it was a blast. Highly recommend it.

    Did your car require the 996/997.1 Accelerometer? Are you still happy with the unit?

    • @CarFanatic
      @CarFanatic  5 лет назад +3

      No because the 997.2 has the accelerometers already.
