I've had my 997.2 for 3 years but somehow I'd never heard of this mod. After watching this report I'm getting one right now. Thanks for the video, its great.

It makes the car feel much more modern and a better daily driver too. Best and easiest mod I have done

@@Alberto1B Brilliant, like you I don't want to drive like a madman on a track but occasionally like to wind it up when the conditions allow. I'm planning a winter drive from the UK into the alps soon and this will be the most perfect mod. Thanks again, hope things are good for you.

I plan on eventually picking one up for my 997.1. I’ve heard nothing but good about them.

No complaints at all. Car rides noticeably better in all settings

Thanks for the video. I’ve been wanting to get this since getting my 09 back in the road.

It is the best mod I have done to the car. Makes daily driving a pleasure and extremely stable in Sport mode.

Small correction - if you have a 997.1 Turbo it already has the 3-axis accelerometer built in.

Just curious if you still think this Mod was worth it? It’s $1,290 now, and while I’ve heard good reviews from other also, it seems like a lot of money for something that’s hard to explain and not so tangible. I’m wanting do other mods to my car including adding OE Porsche “sport” and sport plus to it since my 997.2 did not come with sport chrono. Any thoughts on this DSC mod versus Porsche “sport plus” mod since it appears your car doesn’t have sport chrono either?

Hey James. Great questions! Very hard to answer but I will try.
If you daily drive your car and you go between sport driving I.e. canyons, twisty roads, track and highway, city streets then yes, this mod is worth it. It really refines the suspension feel. Very subtle but noticeable improvement, however not dramatic.
If you do not daily drive car, then I agree it is pricey. It uses more data from your cars sensors like steering, brakes, throttle, and of course road sensing that PASM shocks already do.
Sport and Sport plus would also do this but have more of an engine mapping/PDK mapping function.
I also have GIAC tune on my ECU so my car permanently in Sport Plus and my PASM is independent using DSC controller.
If you decide to buy Sport/Sport plus DSC controller would still improve ride quality.
A better but more expensive option is a quality set of coilover’s like Ohlins, KW, etc.
If I was starting over, I would get Sport Plus from Porsche and Coil over kit.
Bottom line, DSC controller will improve ride quality on rough roads, twisty roads, and overall ride but you are still limited to OEM shocks and springs.

Let’s just say I will never take it off unless I sell car.
