Wow looking at him makes me realise how much time has gone by... I still remember him from the 90s as a young guy with long dark hair... I'm not that young anymore either, in my 30s. As Hootie & the Blowfish say: "Time, why do you punish me?".
He prematurely aged himself.
I grew up listening to Collective Soul in the 90s, and I just now discovered this song as the bonus track in "Dosage"! I'm in my mid 30s and I'm now obsessed with this song, and this is probably my favorite rendition. Ed's voice is just so good.

Love love love Collective Soul, I've always been living in the past but they were the one modern band I played over and over in High School. Hints & Allegations came out when I was a sophomore and blew me away & I never looked back. I do have to say I never thought Ed'd end up looking like Eric Clapton rockin' Elvis Costello glasses tho ;-)

He’s simply Amazing,,,His voice voice has matured and gotten better with age,,,there’s only one Ed Roland...I Love him.
I wouldn't call him old... he's only about 54 or 55 here. He is blessed to have incredible vocal cords though... and can still hit falsettos effortlessly. In addition to being one of the greatest songwriters out there, I wish he got more recognition for his golden lungs. It would be a blessing to hear him sing in the same room as me.

I owned the CD of Dosage for a couple of years until I listened to the song Crown and didn't skip past the silence at the end. I love the arrangement of that version except for the scratchiness that makes it sound like an old record. Still it's a beautiful sad song or a sad beautiful song.

I watched episodes, from kh wj tv series. TV-MA, I realized that would his next final chapter is rises of grail Antares. Watch the rated m mature 17+ TV-MA. The next final chapter finale awesome would've happened before fights for emperor Antares. From sword and sandals. This is best of promos and best tv spot ever.

Ed always sings with this weird mouth thing goin' on. I assume it's to help him pronounce certain words without his voice faltering as he sings. But he looks crazy when he does it LOL You get used to it though if you watch Collective Soul videos 24/7 like me haha
