If you don’t get the songs it’s because they are all part of Ateez’s anime like storyline and you aren’t watching them in order. It’s like starting a movie in the middle and expecting to understand the plot right away. The meaning of Halazia- HALA stands for Hearts Awakend Live Alive. Ateez has another song called Hala Hala, and in the Ateez storyline their doppelgängers from another dimension are called Halateez. Zia in Greek means divine, In Hebrew means divine light, and in Arabic it means light or splendor. So Hala-Zia. Usually Ateez uses Jongho’s voice like the icing on the cake, while the other members are very much the cake. You can eat cake by itself, and it’s good, but the icing takes it to the next level.
True, like reading the last chapter of a book, to get to the ending result,Ateez has a Lore which needs to be followed from the beginning, I found out, been Atiny for 4 years now,,Love Ateez,,Please enjoy your Ateez journey
Pretty much all of ATEEZ’s music is produced by their in-house production team Eden-ary. Eden, the head of the production team, is Hongjoong’s mentor. Hongjoong has produced a few ATEEZ songs and him along with Mingi write their own rap verses. At 7:35, if you’re referring to San’s anarchy tattoo on his hip, it’s temporary. He does have a real one though. It’s a matching friendship tattoo he got with Wooyoung that says “amicus ad aras” which means “a friend until the end”. Also I love how you got the general meaning of the word “halazia” even though it’s a completely made-up word related to their lore. It’s a call-back to their song HALA HALA in which “HALA” is an acronym for “Hearts Awakened Live Alive”. This is also where we first met their alter egos that the fan base would lovingly name “Halateez”. The “zia” part of “halazia” just straight-up means “light”.
I wouldn't stress too much about misinterpreting their music videos, especially on first watch. Ateez has running lore going back to their debut song. Most of their music videos and songs are connected and a part of that story. It can be confusing jumping in to random videos and trying to understand and catch it all right away lol
Cyberpunk is my most played song by far. I have an obsession with it. Cyberpunk + Take Me Home + Silverlight = The Synthwave Trinity 🔥🔥🔥 Halazia is such an impressive song. I never tire of hearing it. The track itself is so complex and layered that I hear something new every time I hear it. If you are interested in the storyline, I can start feeding you some lore. It is A LOT. There are tons of storyline elements that are intended for Atiny, but it is not necessary to enjoy the tracks/MVs.
Yes! The SW Trinity is soooo underrated!! I absolutely love all 3! They’re always keeping the synth waves on the back shelf even though they’re one of the few artists that actually do it right! I really wish they would have come out with an English version of Silverlight cause I feel like it could have done really well internationally.
Hawaiian might be the fastest person to become a Staytiny lol, Deja vu is so iconic , and Halazia is amazing ( the setting was filmed in thailand actually)
Gosh I could talk about Halazia for hours... it's such a gorgeous song with a beautiful meaning to it too. So storywise, the song is set in a world where emotion is seen as a disease and has been numbed and all forms of expression have been taken away. There was a resistance group called "The Black Pirates" who were fighting to bring it back but they were captured and presumably killed, leaving behind a large amount of ppl who believed in them and believed they would bring emotions and freedom of expression back. When you read the lyrics it can sometimes feel like you're in the perspective of the resistance's followers who are calling out for someone to save them (that someone being Halazia) So with context cues form the video it seems Ateez have taken on the role of being the Halazia for the people; the new Black Pirate leaders. The giant ball you see in the video is still something i'm not entirely sure of but i've seen someone describe it as a manifestation of the people's emotions/memories/creativity/imagination and it floating into the sky out of reach is them losing hope and giving in to the dystopian government. Them bringing the ball back down and it disappearing/dispersing is like them setting the emotions free and giving it back to the people. I'd go on but this comment is long enough lol
They have their own roles, jongho's the main vocalist obviously, and every other vocalist in the group do a great job. Mingi and Hongjoong also use handheld mics. There are 4 main dancers in the group; Yunho, Wooyoung, Mingi and San. They are all very stable vocalists esp Seonghwa and Yunho, they can jump around and still sound so stable. Top tier energetic performances and delivery of the dance are Ateez's thing so sometimes some members like to focus more on performance side of things just like Jongho dancing less to focus more on his vocals. Jongho can dance really well too tho. San is the lead vocalist and he did a cover with Jongho called Dear Name. I highly recommend that one!
So glad your bias is Jongho! He’s really an amazing vocalist who’s incredibly passionate and serious about continuously improving his skills. Having seen them live, I can attest that his vocals are even better in person!
Halazia is the song that truly introduced me to Ateez, I originally had seen them on Kingdom: Legendary War, when I watched it for Stray Kids, and I didn’t really pay much attention to them until I rewatched Kingdom later and decided to check out more of their music because their performances were truly amazing and powerful, and I am so thankful I did because now they are my ult group. So even though I had heard their other songs before Halazia, Halazia was the song that made me fall in love with Ateez’s music and made me an Atiny!
The majority of Ateez's songs are produced by KQ's in-house production team "Eden-ary" with Hongjoong and Mingi's help. The main producer is Eden. Hongjoong and Mingi write every one of their raps and are part of the production team. A couple of years ago after their American tour, the two of them stayed in LA some extra time to learn from local producers, while the others went home. Since debut Hongjoong has written and produced a few b-sides on his own. Before last year (iirc) Mingi didn't have credits as a producer, only as a writer for every song. But Hongjoong has always called Mingi part of the production team nonetheless. Mingi's solo projects, his upcoming lp (birthday merch) and his unit song with Yunho are written and produced by him (I believe in full). Hongjoong was the first trainee for a boy group KQ ever had and was alone for 6 months before Yunho and Mingi joined him, so Eden took him under his wing. Hongjoong did not have a proper audition, he just sent KQ a mixtape of his own music with a message that he wanted to become an idol that writes and makes his own music. KQ was so impressed that they signed him, and he became the symbol of a new era for KQ, as the first memeber of their first group. Hongjoong's passion for and dedication to music are infamous and Ateez call him a workaholic. Initiatially, KQ wanted Seonghwa to be the leader of Ateez as he's the oldest and most patient memeber, but Seonghwa refused saying: "There's no point in making this team if Hongjoong is not our leader". Before Ateez even debuted, Hongjoong had already written about 40 songs, and was able to produce and release a few of them throughout the years. From, Horizon, Good lil' Boy off the top of my head. After debut, he wrote songs like Aurora (inspired by Atiny), and Thank U (dedicated to Seonghwa). He also helps producing for Xikers (iirc his name is on every track of their debut album) and helped write and produce his collab with Chungha "Eenie Meenie". Mingi but particularly Hongjoong having so many writing and producing credits means they earn more than the other Ateez members in royalties, which is something that Ateez never let Hongjoong forget lol recently he spent something like 120k to get all of them custom made Cartier team rings 🥴
so happy you love jongho!! I swear every concert I've been to, he always sounds even better than the recording. cyberpunk is actually one of the songs that made me a fan, his voice impressed me so much! I hope you continue to love and appreciate him, looking forward to your future reactions!!
7:28 the biggest reason why Jongho uses a handheld mic is because Jongho often loses control of his rhythm (said it himself) and dances too hard and therefore uses a lot of energy. Jongho is a very, very good dancer but he has to hold back to preserve that energy and the mic reminds him of it.
Ateez’s song and mv are heavy with their lore. Ateez is from World A and their doppelgänger called Halateez (the men in the black fedora) are from World Z called Strictland. Strictland is a corrupted government and having emotions, dancing, art, singing, etc are not allowed. Halateez used the hourglass called the cromer to go to World A to ask Ateez to help them overthrow their government. When the moon is at a certain phase, then cromer helps connect Halateez and Ateez through their dreams. That’s why sometimes Ateez feels like they get Deja Vu and Inception (another song of theirs). At some point Halateez got caught by the government. Halazia is on the spinoff from the witness album. Meaning the song is from the point of view of the rebel followers waiting for the return of Halateez. In one of the lyrics, Yeosang sings “little blue bird that lost its voice.” At the end of the mv, you can hear the chirping of the bird. Ateez usually has Easter eggs/teasers at the end of their mv for the next comeback. The four people at the end are from another rebel group called Thunder. They are students that attend a private Strictland school and are trying to infiltrate from the inside of the government.
Halazia had a ton of press about it, such that it became one of the most sold albums and it was essentially a single with some remixes and an outro. There were leading videos that focus on the lore and how the song fits (and doesn't) into their storyline before we got the Guerilla era. Yes, everything is about the lore. But you can easily see how a song like Halazia came, discography-wise, out of the blue with that level of excellence. It's my fave, eclipsing Say My Name after so many years. Glad you enjoyed them all! And yeah, live performances will always trip the YT sensors, unfortunately. :( Also, there is a vampire version of Deja Vu (and also Wonderland, debut Pirate King) in case you're wanting to put that on your to-do list closer to Halloween (add Black Cat Nero for reasons).
Thank you for this reaction! Halazia is a masterpiece. It's my No 2 favourite Ateez title track. (The first is Answer, which cannot ever be dethroned 😂 bc if you read the lyrics, it's actually a summon - Ateez beckoning us to join them - so how can that ever be topped, in my view as an Atiny 🫡) I loved every music show stage that Halazia was performed on. There weren't many because the promotion period was very very brief. Do check them out, especially the Halazia performance on MBC year-end show. That was the very first performance of Halazia. ❤ Halazia will always be special to me as it was the very first Ateez song that I saw live (It was the concert opener on the Break The Wall asia tour) There is a Halloween performance video of Deja Vu. It's all 8 of them dancing the full choreography while dressed as vampires. Jongho didn't dance in the official Deja Vu mv bc he was recovering from injury at the point of filming it. He recovered and was able to participate in the choreo during the promotions and in the Halloween video.
You listening to Halazia: This is so calming (I did the same 😂) Ateez: Hold my beer… Great reaction! Love seeing people discover Ateez and how amazing they are!
You correctly picked out Jongho. If the adjective that comes to mind is "insane", it's definitely Jongho. You're doing great with the meanings. Their songs often have a storyline layer and a metaphorical layer that applies more broadly to the real world. For example, in Halazia, Halateez (ATEEZ's world Z alter-egos) have disappeared. The people want to be free so they're asking for someone to be the light, to take over Halateez' role as the rebels and free them from their oppressive government. Metaphorically, it echoes what we feel when we're stuck in a bad situation or in over our heads and we need to be rescued--you were spot on. Grand is the perfect adjective to describe what's special about ATEEZ's music. It often feels grand, like a movie sound track.
He cut off Seonghwa's high note, that was painful 😂😂....Anyway Cyberpunk is a song that is impossible to repeat, it's my favorite song in the world, it's simply a masterpiece.
Ateez lore is intricate and progresses with each album release. It's a bit hard to understand everything because you dont know the beginning nor see how it changes yet still ties into each phase. There are multiple dimensions thus multiple versions of Ateez. This phase is a continuation of fighting oppressors. Those telling you not to feel, not to express emotions and Ateez are saying to fight, feel, use music, your voice to fight those that want to control and silence you. In Guerrilla you say them sitting in class enduring mind control. The hour glass ties all of the dimensions in and Halateez, regular Ateez etc.
do you intend to react to an ateez guide? cause i'm loving your ateez reactions and i think a guide would help you sm in get to know them better 💕 and the 2024 guide is soo good for begginers!!
@@meloamanda But I don't believe it's fair. The Hongjoong introductions for example, it doesn't even include his performance skills or even what makes his voice stand out to new fans.
I love cyberpunk!!! But turbulence is my favorite! That's the song playing at the end of Deja vu! Them signing it live, you'll fall even more in love with Jongho!
Halazia is one of my favorite Ateez MVs,its meaning is Be the Light, Freedom song, New generations and freedoms, this is Lore related, part of Hala Hala,,note the Chromer in the Vid.,Love Ateez, thanks Yunho is sitting in the chromer,
Halazia is my fav! Have you seen your fav jongho from ateez seungmin from stray kids and the amazing eungkwang from BTOB perform love poem am iconic IU song. The vocals and harmonizing by these amazing vocalist is just beautiful and iconic.
That's all! I loved that you reacted to these. Halazia and Deja Vu are among my favorites from Ateez! I adore. Have you ever been told to react to BTS? MIC Drop is a good one to start with. There are so many good groups, so much good music!!!!
7:37 tattoos: San has one above his knee that matches with Wooyoung. Wooyoung has his friendship tattoo with San, one across his side and one below his neck. Hongjoong has one on his lower calf/ankle area and on his inner arm. Those are the only ones we know about.
Actually, as a rap fan, you might really enjoy The Leaders. There's no music video, and the live versions don't usually have the whole song. I recommend either just listening on your own, or reacting to lyric video.
I saw the doggo! But yeah, LOVE your reactions the way you manage to grasp the meanings just from the vibes is very enjoyable to watch! It's actually the first time I heard Cyberpunk described as vampiric but I kinda get it, now that I think about it, it does give me some of the Castlevania feels!
Hongjoong is my bias but when I saw them live, I couldn’t take my eyes off Wooyoung. He stole the show for me 😅 they’re amazing live! I knew they were praised for their live vocals but even knowing that, they still blew me away. Your love for JongHo makes me way more excited for the next episode of Kingdom 😻
Lmfao, don't feel so bad, even I've been a fan of them since debut and I still don't understand their music videos or their lore behind everything. xD But I saw a few things that would connect the music videos together when I saw them for the first time, so at least I know that they have a lore. I just love watching their music videos, hearing their voices, listening to their songs, and watching them dance, whether it's in a dance practice or live. They go freaking crazy when they dance live. I saw them perform Hala Hala in person and let's just say, I was so shocked of the fact that they were still technically a rookie group, even though I was a fan and I knew the extent of what to expect, they still managed to surprise me. It's just, a moment where you literally have to be there in person. I've seen the same performance again either from someone else's video online or from the one I've recorded and I still get goosebumps every time, but if you ever get to witness such a performance in person you just lose all of your senses. I can't even describe the feeling with words. They're just that amazing. They're easily probably my second favorite guy group? If you consider Day6 as a kpop guy group, but if not, Ateez would easily claim my second most favorite guy group spot. xD
If you want to listen to more Ateez songs that are mainly rap then you should check out to The Leader, The Ring, Good Lil Boy, and To the Beat. Ateez and Be:First has a new Japanese collab song called Royal that just came out a few days ago. It’s heavier on the rap side. You should definitely check it out.
I love Ateez music, it always brings me energy 😂 seventeen is my fav group as well. But more enhypen, ateez and stray kids, other boy groups like BTS and TXT as well. Other girl groups like baby monster, Nmixx and aespa have good songs too. There are so many groups and artists in kpop I could go on forever but those are just some of the mainstream groups. Can't wait to watch you journey 😊
23:23 If you like whispers i think you will like their song The Leaders. The chorus here is sung in a whisper. I also highly recommend you to listening to WONDERLAND, I’m the one, The Real, and the full album OUTLAW. Also the laugh you hear before Hongjoong’s rap is like his signature, and Mingi usually says “FIX ON” before his rap line. Just fun fact about rappers:) Also thank you very much for your reaction on Ateez, love to watch it!!
No one has mentioned it yet, so I will! Ateez is actually pronounced more like “aye-teez” rather than “uh-teez,” the first syllable is pronounced like the letter “A”
If you wanna react to some more of their music I’d recommend some of their new tracks, I think you’re gonna like „siren” a lot, also „blind” is worth checking out!
I think it's time you reacted to a guide to them, to help you learn the members & find out about their story. Also you don't need a filter over Ateez's music videos as KQ don't block reactions.
Such a nice reaction as always, just a little question...will you upload their Dingo Killing Voice on youtube? I went on your twitch channel to watch it, but unfortunately many parts of the performance got muted due to copyright reasons, so sadly it's kinda difficult to fully enjoy it. Especially when the most beautiful parts of that performance were muted :(
@@HawaiianMusicReacts That sounds really weird, Killing Voice has plenty of reactions on youtube, it's a content that never gets blocked. Sadly I'm afraid I'll have to skip the live, it's not your fault but I just cannot enjoy when 3/4 of the performance gets muted
Deja vu is one of my favorite ateez songs! Can you also react to a group called Boynextdoor? Their concept is very sweet and refreshing. I think you would like it!
It would be nice if you watch "The Complete Guide to ATEEZ 2024" by bunhongjoong. Its a complete guide to Ateez, and this have informations about their debut, the members and the lore. Shout out from Brazil :))
Please react to Roll Up MV by the kpop group BLACKSWAN, and Double Down by the same group (this one don’t have MV so I think you should watch their stage performance on THE SHOW), loved your channel 🙏🫶
If you are monetizing your reaction videos you will get copywrited. Ateez is one of the groups that support reactors, they even did an interview with a big K-pop reactor a few years ago! Ateez official channel videos will not give you a copywrite strike.
Ateez can’t fully afford to produce their music like that. Their company is so small, therefore every penny counts. They basically made their company meanwhile other groups that can afford since their company is rich and can gamble and run with the members producing their work. They have other huge successful groups in their company. Kq only has Ateez that’s famous. Although Hongjoong has produced many of their songs.
Just a heads up, kpop fandoms don't like it when you compare their groups with another group (same thing with comparing an idol from one group to an idol from another group). It's kind of a no-no.
I have been having so much fun watching ur kpop journey and im not trying to be like rude or anything but everytime you pause or talk over the song i physically recoil and want to scream my lungs out in frustration. urgh that sounds mean but seriously maybe pause less.

That part with "body" is Yunho. He really has a versatile voice and he's in alot of background vocals and mixtures in Ateez songs.
Thank you for this reaction! Halazia is a masterpiece. It's my No 2 favourite Ateez title track. (The first is Answer, which cannot ever be dethroned 😂 bc if you read the lyrics, it's actually a summon - Ateez beckoning us to join them - so how can that ever be topped, in my view as an Atiny 🫡)
I loved every music show stage that Halazia was performed on. There weren't many because the promotion period was very very brief. Do check them out, especially the Halazia performance on MBC year-end show. That was the very first performance of Halazia. ❤ Halazia will always be special to me as it was the very first Ateez song that I saw live (It was the concert opener on the Break The Wall asia tour)
There is a Halloween performance video of Deja Vu. It's all 8 of them dancing the full choreography while dressed as vampires. Jongho didn't dance in the official Deja Vu mv bc he was recovering from injury at the point of filming it. He recovered and was able to participate in the choreo during the promotions and in the Halloween video.
whoever loves Halazia has my heart
i love this format of several song reactions in one video. and yeah, three solid HIT SONGS! ateez are GOLD.
You listening to Halazia: This is so calming (I did the same 😂)
Ateez: Hold my beer…
Great reaction! Love seeing people discover Ateez and how amazing they are!
YOU'LL NEVER BE DISSAPOINTS REACTING TO ATEEZ. THEY ARE REALLY GOOD
I wish you would watch Love Poem Kingdom performance, it's Jongho of Ateez, Seungmin of Stray Kids and Eunkwang of BTOB. You will be AMAZED.
Have you reacted to Ateez Hala Hala performance MV? That choreo and song is absolutely amazing.
Yes i do! Probably on stream
@@HawaiianMusicReacts greaat!! i'm looking foward to it then :)
2023 guide is better to know the members. The 2024 is so unfair and the editing is a bit off.
@@bra1ndamag33 personally i prefer the 2024 version. it has their recent achievements and better performances that showcase their talent :)
Deja Vu was in Killing Voice:)
Hey dude, my bias was jongho too 😭😭😭 his vocal is insane fr~ 9:29
Awesome love the reactions was so awesome was a banger song ngl keep it up dude :D watched most of it half tbh
vampiric they have one of their halloween performances as vampires its really cool
Halazia is one of my favorite Ateez MVs,its meaning is Be the Light, Freedom song, New generations and freedoms, this is Lore related, part of Hala Hala,,note the Chromer in the Vid.,Love Ateez, thanks Yunho is sitting in the chromer,
Thank you so much for those reactions!!
Is your reaction to Ateez Killing Voice going to be available on youtube?
Thank you for the reaction!
No youtube keeps blocking it
@@HawaiianMusicReacts on your Patreon maybe? I don't have Twitch
La parte de mingi es tan hermoso y sus movimientos y su look son perfectos !😍❤❤❤❤❤
As far as I know (and there’s probably already 100 comments saying so:
Zia- means light
Hala- Hearts Awaking Live Alive
I saw the doggo!
But yeah, LOVE your reactions the way you manage to grasp the meanings just from the vibes is very enjoyable to watch!
It's actually the first time I heard Cyberpunk described as vampiric but I kinda get it, now that I think about it, it does give me some of the Castlevania feels!
Turbulence MV and Ateez Killing Voice please 😁❤
dejavu is my favorite ateez song, I recommend jungle by CIX, guilty by Taemin, beautiful liar by monsta x, and the groups seventeen and exo
Hongjoong and Mingi along with a producing team does. Both Hongjoong and Mingi write the lyrics to pretty much all the songs, especially Hongjoong.
Do more ATEEZ reactions please !!! react on MATZ, Fireworks and Guerrilla
More ateez😭
Just fun fact about rappers:)
Also thank you very much for your reaction on Ateez, love to watch it!!
No one has mentioned it yet, so I will! Ateez is actually pronounced more like “aye-teez” rather than “uh-teez,” the first syllable is pronounced like the letter “A”
Gracias por reaccionar a Ateez
If you wanna react to some more of their music I’d recommend some of their new tracks, I think you’re gonna like „siren” a lot, also „blind” is worth checking out!
I think it's time you reacted to a guide to them, to help you learn the members & find out about their story. Also you don't need a filter over Ateez's music videos as KQ don't block reactions.
they're THE best! ❤ thanks for your reaction! ❤ btw, it's pronounced as 'ey-teez'.. long A 😅😊
Such a nice reaction as always, just a little question...will you upload their Dingo Killing Voice on youtube? I went on your twitch channel to watch it, but unfortunately many parts of the performance got muted due to copyright reasons, so sadly it's kinda difficult to fully enjoy it. Especially when the most beautiful parts of that performance were muted :(
Unfortunately youtube took the live down because of the killing voice. The best way to watch is twitch. Its a very copyrighted video
@@keyphoenix9012 yeah nothing i can do

I really like ATEEZ !

@@tsn540 i reacted to this already but I took the video down
If you are monetizing your reaction videos you will get copywrited. Ateez is one of the groups that support reactors, they even did an interview with a big K-pop reactor a few years ago! Ateez official channel videos will not give you a copywrite strike.
@@SugaHo93 I domt get a copyright strike. It blocks it before I can even decide to monetize it
Ateez can’t fully afford to produce their music like that.
I hate your watermark because I also want to look at them with you
Please make it more transparent
I have been having so much fun watching ur kpop journey and im not trying to be like rude or anything but everytime you pause or talk over the song i physically recoil and want to scream my lungs out in frustration. urgh that sounds mean but seriously maybe pause less.
if you like rap you may want to ck out BTS
Is there a reason for the cartoon overlay on the music videos? It’s super distracting and off putting
I think it's to avoid copyright from youtube
Dude, you don't need to pause every second to avoid getting blocked, no. The video gets super boring.
