Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge is a real-time strategy video game by Westwood Pacific, which was released for Microsoft Windows on October 23, 2000 as the follow-up to Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Red Alert 2 picks up at the conclusion of the Allied campaign of the first game. Its expansion is Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge.

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 contains two playable factions, the Soviets and the Allies, which both previously appeared in Command & Conquer: Red Alert. The single player campaign is structured in an alternate-ending mode as opposed to a progressive story mode. Red Alert 2 was a commercial and critical success, receiving an 86% from GameRankings.

In the first mission, if you have Tanya detonate the Psychic Dominator and then *immediately* click to detonate the Nuclear Reactor as soon as the Dominator flashes, Tanya will have enough time to destroy both buildings and you’ll get the cutscene of Tanya being evacuated after already completing the mission.
i assume it is the exact same cutscene as it appears at 1:08:10 ?

This game is awesome you can play the blue or red at campaign and you can play as Yuri's team in multiplayer

I use them to create chaos by using the psychic dominator on them, they basically finish off the base, and then I use robo-tanks to finish the mission.

The last mission has a nice trick. You could just destroy your MCV (without deploying it) with the arrived forces and get another MCV. Over and over again. 3-4 times and you should be good to go to beat Yuri without even building a single allied building. :D
Thanx for the tip. When i played this campaign, i had something like 2-3 hours of Ra3 lol, i didnt knew all the secrets and had bad tactics i guess

I’m currently playing the game and to start I accidentally had her destroy the nuke reactor in San Francisco and that happened. I had no idea that would happen
How did you get the game to run in full screen ? When ever I do it looks all distorted and discolored and can’t even play.
I know it's late but if u kill Tanya on the 1st mission and u can get 5 aircraft carrier which makes clearing the mission faster

Once you're in the game itself (not the menu but in an actual campaign mission or skirmish map) you should be able to change the speed there. By default it's on 'fast', which is a slow 30-40fps framerate. You'll want to put it up to 'faster' if you can.

Having some truck miners can really be a good defense, at early game even if its not the best. Can't wait to play this game again anytime soon.
And thanks for some in game tips, for I don't know you can attack thru waypoints ( correct me if I'm wrong).

I hope I can play Allied and Sovier campaigns, for I just finish 1st to 3rd missions, if I remember. And is there a way I can buy an original game of RA2 and Yuri's Revenge??.. (not pirated) Or copying the entire files of the games will do??..
PS: Some computer shops where I have had played this game, they have some sort application of deleting files automatically..so sad 😮💨😢

Why do you never put Spy's in enemy barracks or war factories? Promoted troops are much better!
How'd You download the Campaign for this? Also, I've been look for the download to Red Alert 2 & The Campaign as well. i have the Yuri's revenge Skirmish & Online version, but i need the other ones. mind helping out? (Sources?)
Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge are not freeware and are still being sold by EA. Even when you play the free online versions you are riding dirty if you don't own the game, since those are only explicitly meant to be server alternatives. If you want to play the single player campaign then you either have to cough up the dough or be a filthy, filthy pirate.
Its the original game, so i have all the campaigns.
It's available through EA Origin. I think things like CNCNet are free, but anything that includes the campaign isn't available (legitimately) for free.

@@itsmenhiel20 Playing ANY version of RA2 and YR legally requires a legitimate copy bought from EA, and all modders who release their own version of the game like Mental Omega or the CNCNet version are required by pain of litigation to implore you to buy a real copy first.
But then again, whether you follow that advice or pirate a copy is all on you.

How did you get game speed options for campaign? Is it just the -speedcontrol method?
You're the second comment I've seen talking about being unable to change their game speed. For me, when I'm inside the game (not the menu, but inside an actual campaign mission or skirmish map) in Options there is a game speed setting right above the scroll speed setting. Is it not there for you?
@@angry_zergling Nah it's not and never has been. When i enable -speedcontrol the game throws me a black screen in any game. Would it be to do with cnc net? I know cnc net improves the base game over all
@@SM-oo4gk Really? I am quite certain the Game Speed setting was there before I downloaded CNCNet. However, the game was patched to the latest version before I played it.
Is your game patched?
And yeah, I had a problem with black screen with cnc net too. It had something to do with the renderers, I believe.
In RA2.ini and the RA2MD.ini, I have

And that renderer worked for me. As for Game Speed, here is what I have under options:

Maybe that needs to be there in order for the Game Speed option to show up?

Also, a correction: it's called "Game Controls" when you hit escape inside a game, not "Options"; I was mistaken.
@@angry_zergling that could be the issue I have to be fair. With the patches and renderer. I was running an obscure unofficial patch and can't remember what renderer.
I've since reinstalled red alert 2 + yr and also origin (because it completely broke on me). I'll look for a better patch defiantly might help 👍

how does your game run much faster ? i tried -speedcontrol and in .ini gamespeed both not working > i am using ultimate edition with EA app
also when i have the harder AI mod installed i cant get passed the first campaign mission it does not trigger when capturing the power things i had em all but still no trigger
it's quite annoying that the Hollywood heroes haven't their oroginal voices in 1.001 patch.
about the campaign, when i start a mission, saved one or from the begining, the game gives me other missions instead of the original ones once i finish the current one. i don't know why. any help appreciated.
by the way, would you stop playing YR for a while and play Warcraft 3?

Is the one playing this campaign a kid or just plain blind? Soooooo much gatling tanks freely hitting your troops! Sheesh! And your base! Sheesh! You panic too easily and not see your base getting destroyed.. and damn... Whenever the enemy engages everu now and then, you get rattled and didn't know what to do.. build more troops and defense! And use your hotkeys for easier access.. use groups to control your troops easier...

The speed you set it to is SOOOO ANNOYING. dude. This game isn't meant to be played that way, it's a camp-out style game that you play missions for even a week. This hyper fast clickity clack shit is just super annoying and ridiculous. This is why I downvote and watch other playthroughs. Even commentary is tolerable. You totally ruined the aesthetic of the game.
