When you watch the "The Black swordsman" episode of 1997 Puck wasn't introduced, but as least we get to see an anime adaptation Guts vs Snake Baron which was awesome from Berserk Volume 1. I knew 100% as I have stated in Reddit and RUclips to people that they will skip in the new Berserk anime 2016 Snake Baron, The Count and Rosine Battle. When they have already showed an anime adaptation of Guts vs Snake Baron already. Look at it this way. Berserk 1997 anime episode 1 - "The Black Swordsman" takes place after the eclipse and Guts defeated Snake Baron which basically covers Chapter 1 of Volume One.Then in Chapter 2 of Volume One was called "The Brand" - Which we just watched in the new Berserk anime which covers that chapter. Which it makes sense in chronological order. This new episode called :The Branded Swordsman the 1st episode in the Berserk 2016 anime, I see it as episode 2 which covers the Chapter "The Brand". I see this episode as a continuation of the 1st episode of the Black Swordsman from the 1997 anime. Here's how I see The Black Swordsman Arc Episode which is in Chronological order when you think about it and it makes sense. Episode 1 - The Black Swordsman (1997) Episode 2 - The Branded Swordsman (2016) Let me what you think about this? I like that new Berserk. I knew it's not gonna be the same as the old anime but to be honest I much prefer action packed CGI over still frame fights. Plus we have to remember than the studio taking care of new Berserk has only made some genki kawaii shojo titles before so Berserk is their first serious and brutal production. I enjoy it. Sure it skipped some parts of manga but we are 17 years after the first anime came out so there's A LOT to cover and I doubt it's gonna have more than 26 episodes. I'm sure the part where Skull Knight saved them is gonna appear in a flashback at some point.

Guts isn't an emo. And for a time guts didn't live for vengeance he just wanted to live. Also they came out roughly the same time, so guts isn't based on saskue and sasuke isn't based on guts.
as much as I disliked the use of cg and the fact berserk isn't being made by studio madhouse (a personal wet dream of mine that many share, I'm sure.) the anime isn't bad at all, if youre hungry for a continuation of berserk passed the golden age I can recommend it.
Oh come the fuck on. The 2016 anime (and the manga material it covers) has so many shounen elements that both terms are arguably correct. Isidoro being a prime example of that, same thing with Puck as a constant comic relief.

Aye the new berserk is really good, after watching countless anime I find the animation to be refreshing and oddly fitting for many moments. The CGI works for the demons and berserker armor because of the gritty uncanny look it gives. Anyways as always showing love for the music
That's because berserker's story, atmosphere, characters, and soundtrack are godtiers. So the poor animation doesn't affect the experience as much. (Though it could have been better)

A friend actually sent this to me to figure out! haha So far I've come up with playing an Octave shape chord on the F# (1st finger on 2nd fret-1st string, 3rd finger 4th fret-3rd string) and G (1st finger 3rd fret-1st string, 3rd finger 5th fret-3rd string). After you play the F# you slide up to B on the 7th fret and slide back down to F#, then move up to G. This is at least the first section! Hope that helps :)

I'm fairly certain once berserk is done, they'll make a badass animated series, I think the only reason why the animation is so piss poor is because no good animation company wants to catch up to the manga and mess up the story or disappoint the fans. But they want to keep people involved or try to get more fans into the series, all I know is that I still got the manga!
I watched the old series, the movie and am watching the new anime. I also dislike the 3D style of the new one, but the voice acting and the music is great, so I keep watching. I also started to read the manga a while ago but didn't had the time to finish it yet. It really is one of my favorites though. I can totally understand everyone who is disapointed with the artstyle of the new adaption.

It's not available yet, from what I hear. Supposedly, there are only samples available of it, one being on RUclips. It is indeed called Hai Yo (Oh Ashes) by Susumu Hirasawa. The fact that they included his song in episode 2 was just incredible. The nostalgia and hype hit me all at once as soon as that song started picking up.

I know people are going to just bad mouth the hell out of the reboot, but I feel like im with you and a few others who found it enjoyable. The animation wasnt the greatest but the story and the fights made up for it i was hooked all the way through once the 2nd season came out.

We can all agree the animation quality was shit and some of the directions they took with the story were pretty awful, like why not just stick to the original material it's right there laid out perfectly how the heck do you screw that up. It was awesome to see berserk again since the movies and original series, i miss those days, we really need another berserk adaptation. I just want more berserk, although it should be done right.
Bruce Achterberg My problems with those titles are that it doesn't really match Guts. His World wouldn't suit the character of Guts, because at heart Guts is still just a damaged, lonely human. Sure, he's monstrous and terrifying, but he's really just a man with a burning desire to get revenge on the man who betrayed him and the only family he had. Really, it's more of a title for a Griffith theme than a Guts theme. The World He Inhabits is better, but I still get a more godly connotation to Guts when that simply isn't true.

The movies got much better by the 3rd one, I think this studio will gain great experience and expertise doing all these episodes

It's not available yet, from what I hear. Supposedly, there are only samples available of it, one being on RUclips. It is indeed called Hai Yo (Oh Ashes) by Susumu Hirasawa. The fact that they included his song in episode 2 was just incredible. The nostalgia and hype hit me all at once as soon as that song started picking up.

I know people are going to just bad mouth the hell out of the reboot, but I feel like im with you and a few others who found it enjoyable. The animation wasnt the greatest but the story and the fights made up for it i was hooked all the way through once the 2nd season came out.
@Noobz4Lief Yeah from the 1990's anime to the 2016 reboot they skipped like 2 arcs i believe? Im waiting on my next set of books to come im in the middle of the Lost Children ark.

We can all agree the animation quality was shit and some of the directions they took with the story were pretty awful, like why not just stick to the original material it's right there laid out perfectly how the heck do you screw that up.
It was awesome to see berserk again since the movies and original series, i miss those days, we really need another berserk adaptation. I just want more berserk, although it should be done right.

Bruce Achterberg My problems with those titles are that it doesn't really match Guts. His World wouldn't suit the character of Guts, because at heart Guts is still just a damaged, lonely human. Sure, he's monstrous and terrifying, but he's really just a man with a burning desire to get revenge on the man who betrayed him and the only family he had. Really, it's more of a title for a Griffith theme than a Guts theme. The World He Inhabits is better, but I still get a more godly connotation to Guts when that simply isn't true.
