It was telling when the mother went on the project and the kid starting crying so the hosts asked her to give the child to the dad. Proving Arj right that it was disturbing the show.

It was hilariously ironic when the mum and baby in question were on The Project and the host said "maybe we should hand bubs to Dad" because it was disrupting the interview. You couldn't script it. 😂

It's just a sisterhood pile-on. The facts don't matter to Alice, she's just feeding her own narrative and jealous of Arj's creativity.

100% I was in the comments on another video and some were commenting the debunked idea that she was kicked for breastfeeding and they were shrieking, "How dare you?!" Proving that all they need is a headline that disparages someone, they don't need to fact check, no way, the torches were already lit as soon as they read the headlines. And the people who did then move the goalposts and claim "it's how women are treated in society" Get real! If they want the "hysterical" trope to end, it's time to stop acting as such.

Parental entitlement at its finest. The same crowd who let their kids scream on planes and run around pubs .... Stick their blinkers on and don't say a word but if anyone else reacts well "how very dare they"

I would have a kindergarten demolished if it meant any show I attended was baby and new mother free. Embarrassed or not, choose an appropriate place to take your child or ask a favour for some baby sitting. Arj Barker is an amazing comic and I hope to see his material for many more years to come!

The whole discourse surrounding this issue is how disrespectful the mother was in taking a baby to a live show. Inconsiderate and just plain rude to all the other patrons who had paid good money for a enjoyable evening out. I personally applaud Arj for taking action to ensure he could deliver a professional set to his audience. I can only hope other entertainment venues follow his lead. Under 5 years old ? Get a babysitter or don't come.

  • @naptowndawn

I'm so sick of the sense of entitlement with some of these parents. What about everyone else who bought a ticket to enjoy a nice night out without having to deal with crying babies? What about the parents who paid for a sitter specifically so they could get away from crying babies only to have to deal with this woman? She should have never been allowed into the theater in the first place. Babies don't belong everywhere!

  • @jasonunsworth7775

This is timely for me being on the eve of Anzac Day. Insta generation parents with their under 7 kids at Dawn Services, crying, whining, packets of this and that. Prams, camp chairs, heaters, thermos’. It’s a solemn event ffs. You park down the street (early!) and walk through the parks with the older generations. Don’t turn up at 10 to 6 with your headlights on doing laps of the park and expect to get a car park right there. You listen, take it all in and leave quietly with a lump in the throat. If one of you has stay home for a few years until the kids are old enough to know what’s going on then big deal. The legends of the RSL will never say something but it’s time there was an etiquette to it because each year it gets worse.

Have seen arj perform many times and he is always respectful of his audiences. Disrespecting a performer by bringing a baby to an adult show and allowing it to disrupt the show is ridiculous and you should be asked to leave. Then going on a TV show to complain and try to ruin the man's career shows that she doesn't get that SHE is the problem

The most astounding thing is that Barker was thrown off his show by the sound of a crying baby. The old comics at strip shows, clubs and various dives put up with a stream of audience invective and abuse. They performed. Sheargold is so precious. A baby FFS. Pathetic

  • @unstoppableExodia
    @unstoppableExodia 24 дня назад +7

I have no sympathy for the mum that got booted from the show. The venue should not have allowed the baby in there. If she wanted to see the show ORGANIZE A BABY SITTER, it’s not that hard. My sympathies go to the other people who paid to see the show not hear some baby noises disrupting the show and i sympathize with the performer who has to deal with that unwelcome disruption. If he was a bit harsh towards her then that’s unfortunate but she could have avoided all of that unpleasantness by not bringing her baby to that show. It’s not a daycare, end of story.

Look, I don’t think Arj handled it brilliantly, which was not necessarily his fault because maybe the staff should have approached the woman themselves, but she definitely shouldn’t have had the baby there. Wasn’t the baby 9 months old? It’s on solids by then so she could have gone without the breast milk for a few hours, especially considering it was nighttime and the baby should’ve been at home sleeping. It was obnoxious of the mum to take the baby to an adults only show

Really good comedians make their show look like it's Ad Lib and effortless. They put hours and hours of rehearsals into a show and timing is Everything.
To have that timing screwed with by anyone, let alone a 7month child is so disrespectful it is disgusting. That this made national news is pathetic on all levels.
Try to take a child to Les Miserables and see how far you get.
Sure she can go see a comedy show as a new mother.... that's what a Babysitter is for.

The reason why breastfeeding line is important is because a breastfeeding Mum cannot get a babysitter. She has said if her baby would have been really disruptive she would have left on her own. The issue is the way Arj kicked her out, he should have been less humiliating. That is the problem the humiliating
