    Good review mate, we have a 13L john deere tractor at work and i ve used my gb70 to help get that fired up when the batteries couldnt quite get it done by themselves. Had the unit for about 3 years and i cant fault it.

    Ive still got the one they sent me and have been plenty happy with it, mine i just as old, I think we both got them around the same time. Great little tools to keep around.

    I like this. I just got one. Got luck to get one on Cyber Monday for $123. For that price I am all in. I hear they have upgraded the clamp sizes so they fit better in tight spots.

    When using this unit with a large engine I found it's best to to leave it connected to the battery for over 1 minute before trying to start the engine. I found with my SUV after about 30 seconds it starts the engine with a very low battery. I've used this battery unit in temperature of -25F.

    I bought mine 2 years ago and finally used it when my battery died a few months ago (twice). However last week someone asked me for a jump and it didn't have the power to start their truck. It's been charing on a USB now for 3 days and it is almost 100% now I think.
    I guess two years is a long time to hope it holds a charge.

    I've read comments on how the cables are attached facing away from the large light where that few extra inches would be needed.

    Both of my GB70s have poofy swollen batteries after 2 years. Probably because of the Texas heat. They don't sell replacement batteries, they just want you to throw it away. :(

      Mine is still going strong amazingly enough, they dont like extreme cold either

    • @BoopSnoot
      @BoopSnoot 3 года назад +3

      @@ghettohillbilly1 Yeah, so I learned after if you want these to last forever: 1) Store then in climate controlled environment indoors. 2) Store them at or near 50% capacity, and just charge them up just prior to use or for a long trip out of town. Apparently heat + keeping them topped off at 100% leads to a rapid reliable death combo.

      Yeah.. that swollen battery thing is one of the reasons that I haven't purchased. I live in a hot environment too .. looks like when I get a battery pack I will have to keep it inside in the AC and only put in the trunk when I am going out.

    Had 4 of these, first 3 changed under warranty as they would not charge past 25%
    Latest one 12 months out of warranty and the torch comes on when charging and will not switch off until the charging cable is disconnected

    Thanks for the video. You must have gotten a good unit. I have seen some of the later units the internal battery swelling and splitting open the case, and that's within a year or just after.

      never seen it here but with li-poly batteries its always a risk

    • @BoopSnoot
      @BoopSnoot 3 года назад +1

      Yup, that's my problem with both GB70s we stored in two different vehicle. Case isn't split but definitely swollen. NOCO won't sell a replacement battery.

    I’m so pissed. Two months old and it’s been slow and now doesn’t hold a charge. Has not worked on the last 9 cars even though it said it was full. Drained it charging my phone. Now stuck at 25%. This is not even the first unit to do this.

      @@ghettohillbilly1 I’ve use two and rotate them. Charging it with the 9v brought it back to full. Only issue I’ve seen is out put voltage is different between the two. Ones about 11.5v and the other is 12v. But they still work.
