Thanks heaps for this lesson Justin. I'm going to start learning this tomorrow, think I'll start on the acoustic until I get it down then go the electric, shouldn't take too long. Keep up the great work.

For the perfectionists...there's a full guitar tab on musicnotes.com (there's also a piano-vocal-guitar which is not as useful) if you really want to see what the arpeggios are. This lesson isn't really "right" on the arpeggios. It's in the ballpark though. But you can't exactly match the track with 1 guitar because multiple guitars are playing similar but different arpeggios that include a few harmonized notes. Also the guitars are at different levels, lending prominece to one particular pattern. But that arpeggio pattern alone does not sound right because it lacks the filler notes that are coming from another guitar. BTW that tab is $5.50 which strikes me as a lot but you can see the pattern of the first 2 guitars on the free sample page. Also at the sax solo, I think that first chord is an Am not an A. You can also watch the live videos and pick up a better picking pattern off bruce...focusing more on the 6-5-3-2 strings and staying off the 4th string, from what I can tell. Sheet music seems to bear that out too. Since there are 3 guitars, it's hard to exactly match the pattern and sound with 1 guitar..This lesson gets you in the ballpark and at least has the right main chord progression, though technically the progression once you hit the verse is Em - C - G - D/F# - Em - C - D, while on the chorus it is just the first 4 chords.

Hi ... great powerfull song ... and now finally found this good tutorial , thanx ... I noticed the link from "Learn how to play guitar by ear" doesn't work (anymore) , do you know the correct link for that? As I am looking for learning stuff to teach me that ...
