What an extraordinary episode. Gordon, Henry and James playing a trick on Percy, that is something that has a classic railway series feel. That accident surprised me. I felt sorry for Percy when he had to miss out on the actors.
For the longest time I always wanted to see more Thomas series that involved Shining Time Station in some way or form and this is a great one! Hard to believe it's now 35 Years since it first debuted and it is ever a wonderful show. This is a very charming story that acts as an open love letter to Shining Time Station which every fan content that involves Shining Time Station can be one!
This was a wonderful way to crossover Thomas and Shining Time Station. It just feels so right. I like how Henry, Gordon and James have matured to where they actually feel guilt over their role in Percy's accident and try to make up for it. I also love the detail of Percy calling Ringo "Mr. Starky". Overall, a great episode and a great start to this new series. Can't wait to see more like the 40th anniversary of the Television series episode in October!
I like how for the theme of these new Flashback Tales series you picked Rondeau- that's what we used here for PBS' Masterpiece Theatre block on PBS! Though the versions used in more recent years are a bit different from what I remember.
Wonderful start to the NWR Flashback Tales series, @NWR1991 :3 My favorite part had to be of course when Stephen explained the different terms to of Thomas, Percy, and Toby... most notably of Guard being Conductor and Railway being Railroad here in the USA :3
This will be great! I cant wait to see a brand new series where we’ll get to see Sodor taking place in the 80s, 90s or 2000s. Mostly from a reality standpoint. I think this is the kind of series that I thought about not too long ago, and it’s finally happening. I really wonder how would the engines feel about Magic Railroad back in 1999 when Britt Allcroft is gonna make that movie?
Insert the song of the same name by Heart joke here. Plus, WOW, 35 years since this show gotten introduced in the states! Man do I feel old, despite being 8 years behind the airdate at the moment. Also, interesting on how you managed to mix another PBS show that introduced many British miniseries to the states as well.
It's been weeks since it's been a month since this was uploaded, but this was a wonderful episode! Bringing the actors from Shining Time Station was actually really nice.
6:48 the collision only sounded like a small bump and it was never said that his buffer beam was damaged, so why couldn't Percy just be checked over in the yards, surely it wouldn't take that long? Furthermore, why would this necessitate loading him onto a flatbed? Regardless, this was still a great story to kick off the new series and fitting considering Shining Time Station's impact on the franchise's popularity.
If I had Percy crash through the lorry it wouldn't look realistic as he would slice through it considering this is Trainz we're talking about. It's suppose to be impactful but Trainz has its limits.
So, is this where all new episodes that take place in the past will be? If so, I assume this means all the episodes from Season 13 onwards of NWR Tales will all take place in present day.

Superb! Really fitting for the 35th anniversary of Shining Time Station! I'm also glad you got Ringo Starr featured in it, as Mr Conductor! 😃👏
Wow. I'm glad I'm not the only one celebrating 35 years of Shining Time Station.
This is a Thomas/Shining Time Station crossover done right, and I absolutely love it! 😀
Looking forward to more from this series!
Mike Nicholson? Didn't know you were a fellow NWR1991 fan! By the way, I loved your George Carlin Retrospective.
Heh... good to see ya once more, Mike :3
There's also one episode of Thomas & the Railtours (from another fan-series) where 844 visited Sodor prior to this last year.
@@thesudriana016 I saw that. ;)

This episode will have you “time to Shine”.
I'm just glad that more people outside of the US acknowledge the existence of Shining Time Station.
I’m in Canada
9:13 When James tells you off in defense of one of the branchline engines, you know you've gone too far.
Because that is quite a rare sight.

Ringo, Didi Conn, oh the memories of Shining Time Station all are flooding back. Thank you very much.
This was a really really good story. I especially loved James and Henry calling out Gordon
Oh boy, This is going to be Exciting!😄👍👍
This a TTTE/STS crossover done right, unlike Magic Railroad.
You said it
Percy needs to stop being naive at times and since when did he ever start listening to the big engine knowing they sometimes don't tell the truth.
Love this story
Sounds very interesting, and, love the concept as a way to expand on your own take on Thomas and Friends.
Not the biggest fan of Shining Time Station, but my word this is a very creative and well written story. 😊

This looks interesting.
Man, they look just like the real Shining Time Station stars!
Lovely start to the new series!
Great start to this new series!
This was very cute.
Oh boy, I can't wait! :D
That was really good, and I loved it!
I can't wait
Nice Flashback

Bravo!
Hmmmm why did you pick 1989 but not 1991 ore your channel number
Because 1989 was the year the show first started. STS was already well established by 1991 and that’s it.
Starting at 10:54-- Is that Especially For You by Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan playing in the background?
@@GamingDelight Yes
Are you gonna download the new Sudrian industries Toby
All my videos that’ll be uploaded for this year predates any of the releases that various sites had done recently.
