Hey! I’ve just built them for the buggies I have built on the techs. I have 9 or 10 rigs out there running them. I’ll share any info if it helps. I Cnc a rotor mount that press fits and welds to the yoke. Then I true on a lathe. I Cnc a caliper mount and use wilwood calipers and high speed pads. Rotor is steel 1 piece and 13.5 diameter.
You are correct! This material has just been normalized. Trying to figure out if we should heat treat or not. It’s 4340 and the caps have a bronze liner. I’ve been told many varying opinions.
@@mountainmafiaentertainment it’s not going to be very strong if you don’t. It will be ridiculously strong if you do. That caps don’t have to be heattreated but the cross does. Only problem is they are already machined to finished size.
We have been back and forth on this. These are obvious proto types. 4340 Vs the stock joints we are looking at about 5 times the strength. Heat treat won’t really add much more strength. Tempering will add some strength and is a possibility as well.
Love the shop video, looking forward to havoc racing coming up.
Badass Ben!!
Cool 😎 man
Super cool
Thank you!
Internet gold right here! Thank you
Thanks for watching!!!
Awesome stuff.
Love it, so few of us ever get to see how these monster axles are put together
Glad you like it!
So now I have to go from 2.5 rocks to these. ;)
Sorry! Haha!
You said you guys design and manufacture the pinion brakes? Where’s the link to buy some?

The U joints don’t look like they have been heat treated. Are they?
