I am a machine tool service engineer in Japan.
Few people post their work as a service engineer on the Internet.
I am always looking at your SNS.
Just like you, I know how wonderful this job is.

I got offered a job interview as a service tech for EMCO and Bumotec when i was studying to become a machinist. I chose to stay on the production track and i don't have any regrets about that. Currently studying to become a certified production and automation engineer and it's the best of both worlds. You get to do everything a machinist would do, be the middle man between the service techs and the operators so that the intended functionality requirements are kept before and after normal operation and service/repair as well as having the same role in the interaction between design/engineering and the guys on the shop floor.

Informative and useful. I wish better closeups were included when you were opening it up. My machine is an old meldas 520am running cat40, so i have a feeling this is implemented in the spindle drive. Is there a specific type of spindle where you find this, or is this implementation specific?

Hey Aaron, I need some help with a wiper on the rear Y axis way cover on my VF4SS 2015. HAAS Says I have to buy the entire Y axis rear way cover for that rubber wiper. I called in to you guys and was told you only have 1 size and the guy didn't know if it would work or not. I would think a rubber wiper would be a wear item..? Anyway have you run across this and have any idea where to go from here?
    Thanks
    Daniel

Hey thanks. Yes I believe the wiper on the rear Y axis is not the same as the others. I just updated the pictures on the product and Included measurements. Check the link below. If it’s not the right one shoot us an email with some pictures of your wiper. cncreplacementparts.com/product/waycover-wiper-xy-axis/
