Magnus Cort is my 5* boy too, no matter the stage scenario. If the breakaway manage to make it Godon and Wright could complete the podium, fully agree with your favorites. Here is my scenario : Lidl should take control to give Pedersen a chance to defend his jersey. The breakaway has a chance to go all the way, but I think other teams will take over to catch them. In the final, the pace will be too high and even Pedersen will have to surrender. It will be a reduced peloton of about 40 riders that will contest the sprint for victory, with Magnus Cort coming out on top. A podium finish for Roglic (H2H against Ayuso will be interesting in a uphill sprint). Mention to Gregoire also
@@CyclingGuy As with Mads, I imagined that the stage would be too difficult for Dorian, with the climbs being a bit too long for him. He said in an interview that he would try to hang on to the peloton by dropping back on the climbs and then catching up, but apparently it was too hard. For Fred, outside of a breakaway, I didn't see him performing well ; I don't think he's good enough yh
I'm going with the gc guys. This season I have not seen a lot of early stages given to the break, so I think the stage with be tightly controlled. Also because it is so short. Should be fairly easy to control with all the domestiques still fresh. Then it is a reduced sprint and maybe the gc guys are not the strongest, but they will still be around. Also roglic, ayuso, evenpool etc all have a good kick to take some bonus seconds.

That scenario was pretty close ey!!!! Any idea as per what happened to Wright and Godon on today's stage? Not good enough? Somehow hard to imagine
