Sorry for the video getting cut off in the beginning. It does get better. My first video :) If it helped, a thumbs up is always appreciated...mahalo! 🙏
You found your audience ❤ I’m a new surfer and also in Northern California and your video taught me how to wax my soft top!!! Thank you!!!
Happy it helped!
Surf boards are really hard to come buy where I live and I want to make sure I wax it right because it was very expensive Thankyou for the help.
My pleasure
Where do you live? I live in Jax Beach Florida and they’re basically the cheapest thing you can buy for fun. Tons of quality boards under $500 and tons of starter boards under $200.
Super awesome tutorial that quick and really easy! Thanks!
Glad it helped!
Great video, cheers from Australia's Sunshine Coast mate
Thanks!

medium pressure washer does the trick coming from the water heater outlet....welcome and thanks
Cool, never heard of that one. Mahalos! 🤙
Question how do you clean it properly is there a trick cause the top is softer and would not want to. Pierce it while scraping !!! Sorry I’m a kook I know lol
Hi, that's a good question, you can just use a hair dryer and a rag. I give the details in this post: stoketopia.com/how-to-wax-a-soft-top-surfboard/
can you add a vid about how u put down the traction pad on ur foam board??
It came with it
I want to buy a traction pad for my foam board but I can’t find one
Anyone can work but use gorilla super glue to sticks or it will fall off.
Great video!
Thanks!
This helped a lot. Thanks!
You're welcome!
What wax should I use if I have both warm and cold water
Have both and use the one that's best for the current conditions. Put it over the top.
Thanks mate! How do i take it off without damaging the board though?
It's similar to a bodyboard...check out the instructions on the bottom of this post: stoketopia.com/should-i-wax-my-bodyboard/
But a wax comb there cheap

You're welcome
this was so helpfull :)
Awesome!
Hi Can you show how to remove wax?
I'll work on something. Thanks for the suggestion.
Dose it matter what brand?
Nope
@@stoketopia ok thanks man nice video BTW
how often do I need to wax it? Thanks!
Whenever you feel like you're losing grip. More when it's new, but less later.
@@stoketopia thnx man I didnt even know this was a thing, thought the boards were just worn out lol
I have a fomie thats pretty beat up on its soft surface. What traction pad is that as i think i need one.
It came with the board. There are some decent ones on Amazon, otherwise you can go to any surf store to get a good one.
@@stoketopia thank you!
I just bought this board! Should I use a base coat first ?
Sweet! You don't need a base coat on a foam top. Have fun! 🤙
Are you 420 friendly?
Jah
In my opinion you waxed the rails way too far to the edges. This is also submerged in the water and will slow you down a lot if you wax it.
Wax on the rails is negligible when it comes to speed. You aren't going fast on a longboard anyway. Grip is much more important.
@@stoketopia the part that got me was "you can put a little on the bottom too"
So hands flat on the deck you don’t grab the rails, as for slowing you down not a huge concern on a longboard and a foamy in particular cause you don’t rip on a log but waxing the rails is a horrible practice especially once you get a performance board
Never wax the rails!!! Jk do whateva works for you. dats all that mattas. 🤙🏼
