Absolutely on point. My wife and I just drove our Y LR to Florida and back. Going down 3 hotels and 4 days on the road. Return trip had 4 hotels and 5 days on the road. The charge stops were just very comfortable pit stops. So easy and so nice to do in an ev and without being in a hurry.

Thank you Chris for this detailed trip report. You are the only one that shows charging costs per charge and most importantly time spent each charge. Most video tends to skip the time spent charging and that is an important factor for any long trip. The 6 hours of total time spent charging is a lot time being idle.

Recently, a friend drove out to visit, he left Riverside Ca and was here in 22 hours. No charging, he drove his Porsche. Either way, a long drive.
When I moved to Texas (burb north of Dallas) I took it pretty easy. I moved from WLA, CA so it was I-10 for most of the trip. El Paso was the halfway point.

Too bad the fossil place in Qurtzite is closed, it was cool - we have some fossils in the house from there. Thanks for the Taptes link - might replace the cooler we put in the back (no dogs, and we don’t sleep there). I find the Tesla MY seats help my back, actually. Thanks for the vid.
