I've been following your vids for about 6 months. Purchased a Y about 3 months ago. Just lost out golden to a noncancerous tumor in the sinus. Enjoy your pups!
Absolutely on point. My wife and I just drove our Y LR to Florida and back. Going down 3 hotels and 4 days on the road. Return trip had 4 hotels and 5 days on the road. The charge stops were just very comfortable pit stops. So easy and so nice to do in an ev and without being in a hurry.
Thank you Chris for this detailed trip report. You are the only one that shows charging costs per charge and most importantly time spent each charge. Most video tends to skip the time spent charging and that is an important factor for any long trip. The 6 hours of total time spent charging is a lot time being idle.
Hey Chris, all passengers must be secured by a car seat belt, including passengers seated in the rear rows. Adult rear-seat passengers are covered by the laws in 33 states and the District of Columbia.
Great video! I also appreciated your detail and breakdown of the time it takes to charge and the costs at each station. Nothing else like the Tesla Autopilot!
Recently, a friend drove out to visit, he left Riverside Ca and was here in 22 hours. No charging, he drove his Porsche. Either way, a long drive. When I moved to Texas (burb north of Dallas) I took it pretty easy. I moved from WLA, CA so it was I-10 for most of the trip. El Paso was the halfway point.
had the heater blasting hahaha. Was super hot. I think I'll do a battery test soon. I also let the car die to 0% and I'm curious if there is any permanent damage
I did a 12000/13000miles road trip in September we paid 900$CA with tricks to get free charging etc. I’ll say I do love my Tesla but I won’t do this kind of road trip during winter 😅
Oh I know almost all those stops on our annual winter NY to CA and return trip, though we usually snake through Dallas. Too bad the fossil place in Qurtzite is closed, it was cool - we have some fossils in the house from there. Thanks for the Taptes link - might replace the cooler we put in the back (no dogs, and we don’t sleep there). I find the Tesla MY seats help my back, actually. Thanks for the vid.
Hi Chris! Can you please let me know the name of that little fridge? Haven’t seen that before and now i want one lol hoping its available in Australia.
Love dog mode. I had to get a small portable air filter b/c of my dogs - plus breath cleaning water additive. Also got an air quality monitor- surprising how fast CO2 levels rise if you have the ac on recirculate especially with 2 doggies riding shotgun.
When can you make a video on last stupid update? Can’t drive with my weight on, autopilot block me twice already, autopilot become regular cruise control…. Please let me know if you have solution yet )))
How come you were stopping every 200-220km or so when the range is about 450-500? Did you charge upto 80% and then charge again when you were at 20? I would appreciate if you can explain what you charged up to, and when you charged again percentage wise.
is it legal to drive with dogs untied in the car in the US? In Sweden they are considered a loose object and there is a fine of 1500 SEK which would be about 130 USD.
Do yo have the $6,000 enhanced auto pilot, the full self driving capability for #12k, or is this the regular stock autopilot that comes with every Tesla? Which one is allowing you to self drive like that?
Is it safe to sleeping as a human in back? I imagine that would be illegal since all passengers need to wear belts? Not trying to be police here just wondering how to do it if I wanted to and not get a ticket. :)
Random question on the Tesla website for inventory for Tesla model Y when you put in the filters I found two identical cars but one has a little bit different price range about $1000 less but they’re exactly identical why? Also, it does not show any mileage according to the site.
Is it legal to be in the back of a car without a seat belt on? In the U.K. it isn’t, neither is having a dog that isn’t restrained by being tethered to a seatbelt.
Meanwhile it only takes me 4-5 stops and a lot less time to reach Austin. Good vid but i wont be getting an EV anytime soon 😂 also the fact ur back was hurting means the tesla seat is no bueno. My car seat is so comfortable i can drive 12 hour days without any issue.
1400 miles and 12 stops for charging? I was expecting half of that, and $184 for charging is probably more than you would pay for gas on a Camry hybrid.
You have to go through a border between states into Texas. That's pretty messed up. I thought it was the UNITED States. Why have border control between states?
That area of Texas is close to Mexico,so yes they have a border check, and no that's Not messed up, Calif has a few also in the southern portion, plus Calif has food inspection stations, don't want you to bring anything in that would destroy Calif crops.

Son of a sorry to hear. Simbas chemo isn’t working anymore so we don’t know how much time he has left.

It killed me. But was way faster on the way back
love the detailed breakdown of the stops! surprised it took so many stops and the final cost. great video! gotta love the amount of dog time
I love your goldens. Treasure your time with them. They are “the best” dogs!!

Great content as always! I hope you do a video on the new holiday software update! Happy holidays to you and the fam
Excellent video as always
Where you get the pocket fridge you installed in the trunk
In the description. It's the Taptes Fridge.

You guys are living my dream! I wanna go on road trips with my future pet pom in my Tesla
Do it!!
Great breakdown of the total trip. I wonder what the wear and tear is on the battery after all those super charges. Also, why are you sweating lol
had the heater blasting hahaha. Was super hot. I think I'll do a battery test soon. I also let the car die to 0% and I'm curious if there is any permanent damage
Oh my God that is so funny with the dog especially sitting on her face after her mistake
Had to put that in. you can't script that loll

Cool! Fossils! Mine usually does as well but I think I lifted Simba wrong and hurt my back haha
So many stops! A stop every 130 miles? Was that charging to 80%? Distance between each charge stop, what percent when you stopped?
Varied. I rarely went up to 80 unless tesla told me to. Usually it was around 70. The long ones had me at like 90 and one of them was 95
@@EverydayChris thank you, you know we all love data, keep pushing it out for our own future plans
Love your videos. That was a fun one.

I'm a first time viewer, I clicked for your fur babies. 🐶🐶🦁
aww welcome!! Make sure to subscribe! Watch my oregon and camping videos!
Epic video!!
Thanks Cindy!!?
Tesla are the best!
woohoo!
No Tesla is cheep in both hardware and quality they make there customers suffer from basics just to save money .
Did you experience Phantom Braking at all during FSD ??
Nope! There's always a reason. Once when a big truck was changing lanes into the lane next to me FSD did brake but wasn't crazy
Love these videos!
Ya I did the drive from s. Cali to yellow stone stright. It's almost 24h also.
HOLY. We want to go to Yellowstone next. Nice?
Great video ❤
Nice video what make is your phone mount attached to the screen ty
Jowua! In the description
Why was there an inspection station in the middle of the state?
Prov close to Mexico? Not sure
Chris Very entertaining. I wonder how driving 55 or 60 vs 75 or 85 would make a difference? HIgher speed eats up the juice faster but just how much?
Love dog mode. I had to get a small portable air filter b/c of my dogs - plus breath cleaning water additive. Also got an air quality monitor- surprising how fast CO2 levels rise if you have the ac on recirculate especially with 2 doggies riding shotgun.
Interesting.

Haha don’t use the weight. I don’t use mine anymore. Wear sunglasses. Use the right scroll wheel to move the speed every 20 seconds

Had me rolling!!! XD
Hey Chris, is there any new updates on the 2024 Tesla Model X? Price changes, new features, or remodel? Please let me know.
Possible front camera !!! But unsure. Prices are still super low. They are super random with it
@@EverydayChris yes, but will the prices get more low?

It was surprising that it cost more to charge EV than using a gas car on that trip
Love the 🎉 ending!!!!
Thanks for pronouncing Hyundai correctly lol
haha.
is it legal to drive with dogs untied in the car in the US? In Sweden they are considered a loose object and there is a fine of 1500 SEK which would be about 130 USD.
Dont think its illegal. BUt prob not the safest
Do yo have the $6,000 enhanced auto pilot, the full self driving capability for #12k, or is this the regular stock autopilot that comes with every Tesla? Which one is allowing you to self drive like that?
Enhanced! FSD does the local turns and cones etc
hi is this the free autopilot that comes with the vehicle ?
Is it safe to sleeping as a human in back? I imagine that would be illegal since all passengers need to wear belts? Not trying to be police here just wondering how to do it if I wanted to and not get a ticket. :)
Depends what state you’re in!
Are you using just normal auto pilot or enhanced auto pilot?
Enhanced fsd beta
Did you guys drive back with a CYBER TRUCK?
I wish! hahah
good you're paying attention..didn't they get sued massively for crashes???? idk I like them BUT..obviously dont't trust that crap

Hmm call them!
I saw the same thing and bought the lesser one.
usually it's the interior - i think the white interior is $1k more
Nice
Why didn’t you take your model X?
Didn't want to add the miles on the X haha
@@EverydayChrisdidn’t think about that. Smart
While on the road donu charge to 100% each time?
Do not charge to 100 takes way too long
@@EverydayChris thank u. So stay at about 80?
The navigation tells you how much you need to charge to get to the next charger on your route.@@nhatnguyen4579
How come you only drove for an hour and 44 minutes max? Why didn’t you drive at least two hours if not more at a time?
Couldn't due to miles and charger stops!
@@EverydayChris what does Miles and Charger stops mean exactly?
The miles as in can’t drive further without being stranded and nowhere to charge!
sick idea

Hi 🎉🎉🎉 cyber truck event I went. It was so much fun.

No, you don't have to cross into Mexico. There are just border patrol checks leaving cities that are points of entry into the US.
