I’m obsessed with Golden Era atm - can’t believe I never heard of them until 2016 Golden Era Cypher appeared on Apple Music and Spotify - I immediately searched for more but appears anything earlier are only on RUclips. I think? 2016 was the final track?

I know I’m missing a heap but examples are Hilltop Hoods, Funkoars , Briggs and Vents both individually and together as AB Original - ‘Take Back Australia’ was I think their first album is Gold 😊 the name is actually clever on a deeper level - it was also the name of a growing white supremacy movement in Straya at the time - it was totally a F*ck You twist by AB in the album name.… more recent songs I C U with Thelma Plum (amazing voice), January 26 etc are all bangers and the lyrics are smart and insightful (something I love about many Australian hiphop artists - it’s not just about hoes and bling 🤑 the lyrics are intense commentary on all sorts of issues)

Briggs is probably one of the best rappers there but looks like hes been overtaken by ego .. vents lyrical content always gets me reved up fucking love vents hes hard hitting critical thinking intellectual fire I think he could do with a bit of passion in the vocals but something like his hard to kill stuff.. suffa was tight as f and nice as usual.. Pressure has good lines but I think it would pay to switch his flow up abit.. hons was sick still tight on his lines trials was sick did better than last year I reckon sesta won it for the funkoars but he was incredible mad flow play with the way he flips it up.. k21 was spitting pure fire no faults there.. I love the whole GE squad keep putting these out peace.
Dalts 93 i agree with most of this, especially about Pressure. I'm not liking the overemphasis at the end of each bar/line, same thing happened in the 2014 cypher. Still have so much love for him, and i know he's got to change it up a bit these days for the radio play and whatnot, but i'd love to see him get back to his old boom bap hit-the-syllable-on-the-beat style, rattatatta rap is the only way i can best describe it but if you've listened to tracks like "Another World" or even "Stopping All Stations" etc. you'll know what i mean. Even at least just for the cypher it would be nice
