Just to make it a little clearer for you. The order of the lads went Briggs, Vents, then Trials, Hons and Sesta of Funkoars, then the Hilltop boys Pressure and Suffa and then lastly was K21.

Genevieve's fine... thanks!!! Golden Era is a record label, Hilltop Hoods owns it. It went Briggs, not sure about the second guy, then Trials, Sesta and Sketchy Hons.... those last three are the Funkoars.
Pressure, Suffa... are both Hilltop Hoods as well as Debris down the back there....
Someone will come along and explain it better... but that's the gist of it. I mainly follow Hilltop Hoods and Briggs and A.B. Original (Trials and Briggs).

@@BT-ij2bh I think they got too pissed off with politics, so they stepped away....They (Suffa and Pressure) claim 'Dad Mode' required the changes, but that could just be spin...Their most recent single 'Show Business' is under Island Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music.

This is rappers from the Hilltop Hoods independent record label Golden Era Records. Some of the most well known but there’s a ton of others in the same calibre with similar success. Most of them used to be on the first big Aussie hip hop record label Obese Records

Yass 🎉 i only just discovered the cyphers recently as Apple and Spotify had the 2016 cypher which. led me to get recommendation for AB Original despite their album Claim Australia was released years ago when the white supremacy group of the same name was on the rise which was funny and ballsy. AB Original supported cypress hill and Ice cube tour in Australia here and are supporting public enemy next.

Alot of these guys are the og's of Aussie hip hop ... Only missing a few like pegz hunter and drapht ... You should definitely react to some pegz ! As he is one of the major reasons to why this genre even got any exposure in Australia ! Axis and burn city are his best albums even if you don't react to any of it you should definitely listen to it in your own time 😉

Yeah he had some issues with the label and they took off his videos from their channel as far as I remember, Marked For Death is still a top tier Aussie Rap record for sure.

I agree. I think it's because Vents, Trials and Sesta are much better than the rest of them normally but in this cypher all the others have a better verse for once
Funkoars were great too. They seem to have dropped off too. Apparently they had a new album written and ready to release which they scrapped and haven’t done much since. Not sure if there was conflict within the group or with the labels they’ve been with but all their early content is unavailable for purchase now and it’s been years since they released anything more than a single track

2015 cypher goes hard but 2016 cypher is slick and polished.
Suffer was the second last guy 1 third of hilltop hoods guy before him pressure also part of hilltops I don't know if its still available but suffer had a solo 7 minute verse floating around RUclips for a while that was really good.
Hoods also have the Dj debris on the decks with the other two being Adfu and jaytee? Golden Era record label was Hilltop Hoods creation then stepped away in 2017, there are 4 more of these available free to DL.

Definitely some of the best, these guys are all from Golden Era Record label owned and run by The Hilltop hoods. They used to be with Obese Records long ago owned by Pegz out of Prahan Melbourne.

It's hard to appreciate the cypher without understanding who they are individually. No 'Bliss & Eso' as, they are represented by 'Obese Recordings' (somewhat a rival label to 'Golden Era'). The Larry Emdur thing.... A very Australian reference.

Golden era record is the label that these guys and groups are all apart of of.
Hilltop (mainly suffa) started GE after the obese records fallout. Hilltop hoods pioneered Aus hip hop in the late 90s. Bliss n eso are the second most successful behind hilltop but some kind of fall happened between hilltop and BNE when they were both of the Obese label.
The only thing all Aus hip hop fans want is a hilltop hoods and BNE collab.
It actually nearly happened in a song by Bliss n eso called “hip hop blues” but Hilltop hoods verse was never released.
