Hamas and other militant groups have been raining crude rockets into Israel since Operation Protective Edge launched last week -- more than 1,000 at last count. Thanks to the Israeli missile defense system known as Iron Dome, few have struck targets and there has been one confirmed Israeli casualty.
But the threat of rockets remains terrifying for people across Israel, especially in the country's south, which takes the brunt of the barrage. VICE News brings you there to get a feel for life under constant attack.

While in this video "Life Under Israel's Iron Dome: Rockets and Revenge" The Isrealis turn on sirens so the people would start hiding in their basement as well as implementing anti-rocket defense systems. The mindset of both people are so different.

Harrison Lawson The problem is that Gaza is a densely populated region where, even with the warnings, civilian casualties ensue. Hamas seems more than willing to use them as meat shields and martyrs, of course, but it doesn't make the population any less riled up.
Tell that to Hamas, who has the ability to negotiate with Israel and encourage their people to coexist. Israel is the only country that has even ATTEMPTED to deal with Hamas
