Would love to see this but using these techniques to coach somebody up clbs they are struggling with.
Just from a relatable standpoint as it really highlights the moves when the people doing them aren't way stronger than the grades they are climbing.

This video is so good thank you for posting! I tried the projecting exercise yesterday and it worked really well. It gave structure to trying harder, rather just throwing myself at tons of problems and not really finishing them. I would normally give up after a few attempts and try something else if I can't do it but this was forcing me to work out all of the moves. I will incorporate this into my training for sure:) Thanks, guys!

I am just getting back into climbing, and can work through some v3’s-v4’s. And they’re fun to figure out in pieces.
But I tend to enjoy v2 and v1’s a lot more. Should I work on technique on lower grades and train my hangboard and kettlebells to get stronger?
I just don’t want to injure myself messing about on a v4 when I can really hone technique and footwork on lower problems and try to get stronger by taking smaller grips and by working the board?
Couple ideas I’ve had. Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

If nothing else the amount of weight you can take off your hands is super valuable, even if you already fit the box and are comfortable with a toe on, sometimes I find a heel let's me use much much smaller holds easier.

    • @awagner4646

When using this technique your knees should be pointing to the opposite side of where you want to grab the hold. So if you want to grab something with your right hand your knees should point to the left. This way your right shoulder is facing the wall and your arm is closer to the hold.
