Really nice format and video in general. Great effort!
Thanks 💪💪💪
Can’t wait to get back in the gym and start saying “go on” in a British accent when I’m encouraging someone else on their climb
What region are they from? I can't place it, but some of their pronunciation of specific words is a bit unique.
@@benjaminwalker9873 Sheffield is my guess
G'wan then! Brilliant.
Really enjoyed the format, fun to watch people climb. Would love to see more of this type of content!
Ok thanks for the feedback!

I love how you encourage each other with ‘good effort’. It’s totally ok to fall! ✌🏼
Ohh it’s Jen! She’s taught me my first climbing lesson in Manchester some years back. Just as cool in person as she is in this video
Would love to see this but using these techniques to coach somebody up clbs they are struggling with.
Just from a relatable standpoint as it really highlights the moves when the people doing them aren't way stronger than the grades they are climbing.
I love how you encourage each other with ‘good effort’. It’s totally ok to fall!
Opening up the hips to put more weight on the heel hook has helped me loads. Thank you guys!
I'm a huge fan of how you formatted the on-screen text!
thanks guys!
so ready to go to the gym now.
really appreciate it and the effort you put into this.
cheers
Really nice. I would like to see more videos on projecting!
Great video. Really helpful for improving boulders. Thanks
Excellent video! Really liked the different tries with and without right technique
Needed this so badly. Thank you!!!!
Excellent video series. Thank you!
Some nice tips, thanks for sharing!
@7:19 - I thought it was a mirror at first! The way you both fell at exactly the same time!
Thank you for the tips guys!! Really helpful and in depth. I feel most videos just brush over the detail so found this really helpful
Love this! Will use these tips tomorrow!
Nice to see more climbing and good problems.
You both do a nice job of explaining things to a beginner like me.
It's fun to see them projecting at the end :)
Amazing explanations with examples, instant sub !
Great video, thank you! I'm gonna try skipping holds and projecting some more with my group next time :)
These two make a good team, would love to see em again sometime.
The woman is looking crazy strong
Very helpful thanks! 💕
Eliminates! I actually got so excited to go climbing to out this into practice😄 it sounds so fun.
Jen is really great!
This video is so good thank you for posting! I tried the projecting exercise yesterday and it worked really well. It gave structure to trying harder, rather just throwing myself at tons of problems and not really finishing them. I would normally give up after a few attempts and try something else if I can't do it but this was forcing me to work out all of the moves. I will incorporate this into my training for sure:) Thanks, guys!
You're so welcome! Keep it up 👏
I just got into climate last month and this video is very informative and helpful. Please keep the content pushing
As someone who is terrible at heel hooks this was so useful thank you.
Really helpful video. Twisting is one area I really need to focus on so will take this advice. Thank you.
Great vid! Thank you!
Thank you very much for doing this video. It really helps me solve one of routes that frustrate me recently.
Nice video!
I learned a lot, thanks!
What a nice and usefull video!! Great!!
You're so British... I love it!
Great advices, thanks
Fun video, thanks for the tips!
Thanks for watching!
Great format, great video
Much appreciated!
great tips
Loved this video! Great explanations. Could you include the difficulty grade of each boulder problem?
Thanks !
nice climbing content!
Nice work Lattice! 👊🏻
Thanks BASE!
Cool - thanks!
Finally!!!!!
Thank you
I do OCR racing where there is a lot hanging and suspension obstacles, this defo looks like a lot of fun and would aid me in my hanging game also you guys are so cool to watch making it easier to take in, good job!!
Great video
great vid! 💪
This video quality is so good! What camera is this?
Go on!
Lowkey feel like twerking every time that intro beat hits
8:27 awesome short-person beta :D
Yeah :D and really impressive how she held the tension and balance there
Oh its my gym! Nice video thanks
Good gym this one :D
That climbing center looks crazy good
It is!
i mean it's luuuvely, i luve it
Thanks Joe 💪
My hands sweat so much whenever I watch training videos for climbs. 😂
how do you guys keep your gym walls so clean?!?
By biggest problem on roof-climbing is my feet cut off a lot. Gonna try that twisting technique and see if it helps!
Would be great to live in the age of the olymic games of science.
Where the winner is who reaches the game's set goals (in a given time). Anyhow!
That would make science go crazy!
Jen so good
I am just getting back into climbing, and can work through some v3’s-v4’s. And they’re fun to figure out in pieces.
But I tend to enjoy v2 and v1’s a lot more. Should I work on technique on lower grades and train my hangboard and kettlebells to get stronger?
I just don’t want to injure myself messing about on a v4 when I can really hone technique and footwork on lower problems and try to get stronger by taking smaller grips and by working the board?
Couple ideas I’ve had. Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks!
Yeah matey put anotha shrimp on the barbie!!! j/k j/k 😆 Really enjoyed that. Aloha from honolulu! 🤙🌈🌊
Great video!! Your video made me go "Mannnn, I f'n love climbing" 💯
Go oN!
nice to see the multiple attempts at working the same problem...
Go on
I thought i recognised this climbing centre, its depot climbing in Sheffield is it not? Makes sense with your accents anyway, really enjoyable video btw!
8:25 what a sweet move!
Slab tech!
where is this place ?
nice video, but you didn't actually explain how to use twisting technique. A more detalailed descpirtion on where to pay attention while doing it would be nice. eg. is is your opposite hand that goes up while twisting or how does it work?
Random question...what are the trousers Josh is wearing?!?
Intro song makes me anxious
What is that song that starts to come in around 0:42?
Is the video part sponsored by Rab or is it just cold in the gym :D
Yeah it's a typical Sheffield gym I'm afraid.... cold.... but great conditions :-D
Very nice and informative watch.
I just don't see those hooks and as a small climber they would be so useful 🙄
If nothing else the amount of weight you can take off your hands is super valuable, even if you already fit the box and are comfortable with a toe on, sometimes I find a heel let's me use much much smaller holds easier.
Is twisting the same as a drop knee?
Could someone tell me where is this gym? Looks awesome
The Climbing Depot - Sheffield
Is there a way to know which way to twist? Atm I generally just get up there and see what feels "right" but i don't know that's always best.
When using this technique your knees should be pointing to the opposite side of where you want to grab the hold. So if you want to grab something with your right hand your knees should point to the left. This way your right shoulder is facing the wall and your arm is closer to the hold.
Which depot was this at?
Sheffield
Really nice gym, where is this?
The Depot
Sheffield... that is...!
The floor seems very hard for a bouldering area, is it just me? We have that kind of floor in the roped climbing area of my gym.
They look like the same mats that are at The Depot in Nottingham which are absolutely fine to take a drop from the top of a 4m wall on
What's the song that starts roughly 45 seconds in?
K-sparks - Questions
How is it so empty there I’ve been and it’s always so busy!!
What are those black shoes josh is wearing?
Regulus by Unparalleled
where is this gym? looks so nice!
The Depot, Sheffield
The depot, it’s sort of like the Starbucks of climbing gyms. Convenient, competent and utterly soulless 😂😂
So first of all great tips! Thanks for the good content.
But there is one problem with this video. You are motivating each other in english, when the correct way to motivate someone who is climbig is either in french or japanese. Allez Allez XD
That place changes boulders every ten minutes
So "Go On" means "You can do it". They always fall every time they say "GO ON". It's appears more of a distraction. Like is Rushes them.
They're so cute
when i hear her say "guwon" i knew it was sheffield.
Advanced edition!?
Yes, definitely something we want to do :D
@@LatticeTraining LET'S GOOOOO!!!! Your technique videos are some of the best on the site! Always a great resource to improve both my personal climbing and my coaching.
good stuff but she is freezing, get the heaters on
Josh is mega cutee

Great video :-) One bit of constructive feedback; when giving instructional information (i.e talking to camera), try removing all the fluff and filler words. It keeps it concise and adds gravity to the remaining words, increasing listeners ability to digest.
Menudo acento 🤭, difícil para los que no dominamos el inglés 😳
The chaulk on her winter jacket is bothering me lol
Is it just me or does it seem like she’s really cold? Confusing when it’s indoors..??
