Why do people hate fun?? Radical Optimism is an excellent summer vacation album!!! That album cover truly captures the essence of the album. Whatcha Doing, Falling Forever and Happy For You are my top 3.
Why is every critics considered hate. Makes me 🤢🤢 This album is NOT what she said its gonna be. its not good there is difference between Houdini and the rest

Honestly this album is better after a few listens. It has a very summery light & refreshing feel to it. Houdini, end of an era, anything for love & French exit are great! 💙
I love, LOVE this album. As a Tame Impala fan this just hit the right spot for me. I see it more as a collaborative album between the two than a full "Dua Lipa" album. It's just a damn good pop album, and I just miss those, reminds me of the 2008-2014 pop albums I loved as a teenager. I think people look back on Future Nostalgia with rose coloured glasses a bit, the era was SO huge, but she released so many singles and collabs that weren't even *on* the original album, and there are some definite misses for me on FN, whereas here is a zero skip album for me. My personal highlights, which I think could be HUGE hits are "Happy for You", "End of an Era" & "These Walls".
I truly appreciate you guys having such a open mindset and positive feedback on this album. She worked really hard on it and seems really proud and happy with it. She deserves all the love in contradiction to the negative responses🙏🏼❤️
I’m not a huge Dua fan(I admit she is obviously talented. Love the tone of her voice) but I think the haters are the same people that are mad Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter isn’t RnB. Some people just don’t like seeing their favorites change or grow at all. She can’t keep giving us Future Nostalgia forever lol
I Like Dua so much but this simply isn’t my album. Didn’t like the background sounds and style … I’m just a huge fan of the first two albums. Well she has to like it, not me.
I feel like these songs are getting better from listen to listen. The album is really raw, optimistic and happy. The focus is so much more on her voice and her talent. After years of extremely physical performances, she will dance less and sing more. It will be a great addition to her discography ❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻
1. Can we talk about how the album’s name does live up with all these songs? The lyrics are so deep, but the sound is so radical and optimistic. Like Dua said in If It Ain’t Me, “I’ll be dancing with my heart broken, such a sad disco”.😭 2. I don’t get why people hate on good albums. This is such a spectacular album by Dua! It’s like with TTPD, you pick your favorites and feel meh about the rest on the first listen, but then by the second, third, fourth, and beyond everything IS your favorite.😭 I will say that the only thing that upsets me is how short it is, but knowing Dua and her team, we’ll get a deluxe edition like with DL and FN in the future. 3. You guys have earned a sub from me! So positive, I love it!😍🫶🏼
You guys should check out her live performances so far. SNL, Times Square, BBC radio live lounge, etc. Her Happy For You performance on SNL was magical to watch
If this album does get a deluxe with all extended versions, Anything For Love is the one I’m the most excited to get one, since I feel like it ended so abruptly and needed to be longer
The thing about the training season music video is true, the original video was scrapped and it was gonna be the main single but after Dua decided to scrap the video she went with houdini.
first time viewer here and i appreciate this video so much!! i love the musical theatre nods as an MT girlie myself, the music knowlege and just the geniuen enjoyment of this album!! i love it myself and i just enjoyed yall's commentary so mcuh great work!!
This album is so damn good. Carefully curated to 11 cohesive, conceptual, feel good, non-skippable tracks loaded with superb vocals, infectious hooks, and immaculate electropop production. It’s a total summer sonic vibe!!
I honestly cannot understand what people are complaining about this album. This album is so good! My top 3 tracks are not even the singles. My top 3 are End of Era, Falling Forever, and Happy For You (Watchu Doing are on standby for number 2 spot)
i don't think dua was obsessed with making a better album than Future Nostalgia. if you look at the albums in order, you can see that they all have a main theme. there were deep lyrics and bops in her debut album. fn had great lyrics and was absolutely amazing. ro shows how much dua has matured and grown. she proved to us that she can still bop and write deep lyrics. radical optimism ON TOP she and ro deserve more!!
This album is good. It's not as good as Future Nostalgia but it's not too bad. A couple of the tracks feel like filler and I think the single choices weren't all great. My Ranking of the tracks is; 1) Houdini 2) Falling Forever 3) Watchya Doing 4) Happy For You 5) Illusion 6) French Exit 7) Training Season 8) Anything For Love 9) End Of An Era 10) Maria 11) These Walls
I still don't understand why people compare FN with RO, when both albums have different type sounds and deal with totally different things, i love RO more than FN
This album is 10/10 some songs are better then others I think there are definitely 15 way better songs she’s had that are more dancing and funky good beat, I’m more into rap, drill, I’m a guy it’s hard to really love love songs but I love all of these songs every one I was listening and got Into it and there was like 4 that I got really into💯🔥
Houdini took a moment to click for me because the verses aint it and I still feel this way. The rest of the structure and parts are really good though.
@@ratiod2289 It wasn’t necessarily a country album, but a country themed album, because it blends all kinds of genres together. I’m not saying it’s perfect by any means, but the album is so inventive and way different than anything that has released this year so far
Not commenting on the music here but: I sincerely hated the way this album was promoted. Realising the first single 6 months prior, then dropping 2 other songs from an album that is only 11 songs long is such an anticlimactic way of releasing - especially nowadays where people just don't care about being edged for 6 months. I honestly prefer a whole organic drop without any pre-relaseses. This way, these labels don't get some fucked up promotion ideas because a song underperformed.
First listen I was like, ok… it’s ok. And know after 3x I’m obsessed
Why do people hate fun?? Radical Optimism is an excellent summer vacation album!!! That album cover truly captures the essence of the album.
Whatcha Doing, Falling Forever and Happy For You are my top 3.
It’s not that fun compared to what we know she’s capable off - a lot of it is very middle of the road sonically and lyrically
Why is every critics considered hate. Makes me 🤢🤢 This album is NOT what she said its gonna be. its not good there is difference between Houdini and the rest
@@el.grantelbart The singles and the rest of the album are completely different
Because Future Nostalgia is so great!

Its a grower album, i swear the more i listen to it, it feels so good
You guys were a lot nicer to this album than so many people and I appreciate it. Anyone who says this sounds too much like FN is seriously reaching.
I don’t like the album, but even I can admit it doesn’t sound like FN
@@georgeandfriendsadventures5073atleast you know difference
Omfg I agree it doesn’t remind me of FN at ALL like ppl are so uncreative 😩
Anyone who says this sounds like FN doesn’t know their genres. It’s sounds like lazy point of view to me but whatever
This album is refreshing. That’s the best word to describe it imo. I really forgot how good her voice is too.

falling forever is my new fav song of hers it's so damn good
THE VOCALS
End of an Era is THE ONE
Agreed! I keep going back to it
Can’t stop listening
That and MARIA!
Loved the album. The more you listen the more you appreciate it
For me These Walls sounds much closer to Cool by Gwen Stefani than Lady Gaga
it personally reminds me of the Endless Summer Vacation album by Miley! i feel like it would fit perfectly on that album
It gives me All Saints / Oasis vibes
omg i said the same thing ! 🙂
It has nothing similar to Gaga. I was so confused when they said that. Lol.
Completely agree! I said this to my friend after the first listen
I truly appreciate you guys having such a open mindset and positive feedback on this album. She worked really hard on it and seems really proud and happy with it. She deserves all the love in contradiction to the negative responses🙏🏼❤️
i really dont see negative responses. just haters on internet. but the gays we are loving it!!! ❤ Cant wait to Dua going on tour!

Illusion to me sounds like a Years and Years song. I could absolutely hear Olly Alexander singing that OOOooh in the chorus.
These Walls gives me Teenage Dream vibes. Pure pop.

I blasted this album at a pool on a sun lounger with a pina colada and trendy sunglasses, and then I woke up…
Plz react to REASONABLE WOMAN album by SIA she just released it the same day with dua , sure ur gonna love it
Speaking of Born this way, Falling Forever gives me Highway Unicorn (Road To Love)
For sure
YESSSSSS 💯

Her voice sounds so good on this Album!!!! Like the strongest her vocals have sounded.
French Exit - my absolutely favourite! Oh I love it so much!
I HOPE SHE MAKES WATCHA DOING A SINGLE!!!!!
There were 6 singles for FN, and 3 so far for RO. I’m predicting Whatcha Doing, These Walls, and Falling Forever are the next 3 singles
YES
I love the whole album, zero skips!
Still OBSESSED with the whole album 5 months later but ESPECIALLY Whatcha Doing that song makes me feel things
Dua Lipa has some KILLER basslines 😮💨
