Love the slant, I think I know what I will shave with tonight. The Yaqi slant just looks killer! Great video as always!

Awesome pictures. Nice shave and comparison. Ive never used a slant but this makes me want to try one and the Torqx looks great. The Konsul is definitely out of my budget. Elysian has great soaps and scents, her Cherry Tobacco is awesome. Have a great weekend buddy

Nice one Josh! Great comparison between two heavy hitters! I didn't realize the Konsul didn't have the torqued slant head. I love the Konsul handle design and I'd love one, but it's far above my razor budget. I do really want the Torqx and I might be able to swing it down the line a little. I hope Yaqi might do an open comb version at some point with a different handle or maybe a combo bar like the Barbasol floating head. Great soap and splash, Shannon makes awesome products and the collab lets you get a great s & p for a bargain price. Take care buddy!

Dude the Rex has such a natural profile for a slant - which really makes it feel natural and less angle specific! At least on my head 😂 I love the consistency of the Konsul - but the Torqx really brings the closeness!
Thanks so much for joining me for a longer battle my friend!

@@John-lc2lz I am unsure if that has ever even been done?! I've seen AC slants but a Gem?! That would truly be an odd ball!

mate any tips for shaving rash. I get it bad. really annoys me. on my neck mostly.

@@KrisVickers-wn6dd So many things can cause razor burn / rash, it's hard to say for certain. It could be one thing causing it, or a lot of things put together. For me some blades in certain razors can cause razor burn with nothing else changed. It can be from inconsistent, non-protective lather, it can be skin temperature, it can be form (as in too much pressure, too many passes, wrong passes, or ATG problems), it can be blade, and it can be from using a razor that isn't ideal for your skin / stubble type.
My best advice is try 1 pass on your neck - that is it. See if it can handle one pass with your current setup. If not try switching one of the other factors, keep everything else the same, try again with just one pass. Do this till you get 1 pass with no rash - save the load out. Then experiment from there.
You'll see me use the same blade 99% of the time because my problem area - my neck as well - doesn't have flare ups with these blades. I stick with one ATG pass typically - and It works for me perfect. But it won't be that way for everyone. Find what works for you and then build on it.
Part of the joy of wet shaving, and the infuriating part, is knowing that you've successfully designed the perfect shave routine for your skin through trial and error 👍

The Konsul is my favorite razor by far. I don't shave every day so by my 2nd or third day I like a razor that effortlessly cuts down growth. I use setting 3 on my face and 2 on my dome. I also like the fact it's made in America by a guy who is a mensch to the wet shaving community. To me that's worth the price charged. Great video my friend.
