Also, when you canter, it is like a blast of cold air, but your horse's body generates heat and your legs feel warm, so when you dismount, you legs feel sooooo cold
I think the best temp range for me is 60s maybe the highest being 70 degrees tho. Not too hot, not too cold. No flies, But no ice falling off the roof.
I’m going to guess you mean fahrenheit because if you mean celsius then your insane as you would be having a heat stroke!! I’m not joking you would be! 🥵🥵🥵🥵
I used to work as a stable hand at my local stable (Canberra, Australia) in exchange for extra lessons. Summers were the worst, because only the genuinely dedicated volunteer stable hands would show up, so some days I'd have eight stalls to muck out and one other person to help. Winters weren't as bad, but we'd have to break the ice on the water buckets in the yard and then fish out the ice shards to make sure that none of the horses got cut, so that always sucked.
Don’t forget all the pretty colors when trail riding through a woods ❤ it’s not hot enough to wear tank tops, but not cold enough to wear winter jackets. I love long sleeve weather
And they're the only time you can look cute because you're not sweating buckets and you're not bundled up like an Eskimo. The amount of layers I put on every time I go to the barn in winter is insane.
Eh, our horses live outside year round (there aren't any stalls in either of the barns), so we ride year round, too, and we get some pretty brutal winters here - we're careful, but we don't stop riding in winter.
“I guess hunting season started, better be careful on the trails.” Better put on reflective gear the most flashy saddle pad you own lol my dad’s a hunter so essentially they see movement and they get excited 😂 anyways this video is hilarious 😂
Hi Carmella! Quick question, whenever I go to give my horse her grain she gets up in my personal space and gets all pushy. How would I stop her from doing that? I try backing her up but she just decides to get in my personal space again once I release her. Also loved your video!
A lot of the time I like to stand in front of the grain and stick your hand out at there eye they will stay within hands length in my experience once they back if realest the pressure
My horse used to do that whenever I had treats, or whenever she even thought I had treats, whether I actually did or not. I taught her that in order to get the treat, she has to turn her head away - I reinforce it every time I ride her, and now she basically never tries to push for one, and even on the very rare occasions when she does try (whether I actually have one or not), it only takes a sound from me and she immediately stops. It's just basic manners around food. The youtube video I used is called "Introducing your Horse to Clicker Training Part 1 - Look Away" on the channel Georgia Bruce - it was super helpful for me because I had no idea where to start to break her habit, and that video took me step by step with tons of detailed explanation, it was perfect.
When I get to the barn in the summer by the door there is a whole like clan the flies so much I can’t even see I just run through them and all I hear and buzzing
Hey. I know you probably wont read my comment but, I have seen a lot of your liberty videos and I could use some tips! I have a 3.5 year old filly who likes to do liberty if its walking, when I try to with her for liberty off of the lead line she tries to rear up on me. Some of my friends have said to get a whip after her but I don't want her to be scared. Could you please do a video explaining what to do if it happens? Could really use and love the help! Ty if you do!
Oh my Good Gracious Precious Lord! Unfortunately, Ouch! I hope……… this will not be me! Pray for me! That I won’t quit! I surely appreciate any pull! Thank you! 🙈🙈🙈😂🙀🙏🏼💕💕
I feel like it just takes time, but I’d just start somewhere in the middle. If your horse starts tossing his head, throwing it down, than maybe ease up a tiny bit, but if he starts getting out of a frame, maybe a little wobbly at the trot or whatever, take more feel of the reigns.
2:26 you think jumping off a pony is bad? I have a 16.1 hh horse and I’m only 5 foot(shorter in the winter) and I tried jumping off that giant, oof did my ankles hurt the next day!
I love the video, but I think Tucker's halter was a bit loose, sitting too far down on his nose. But he is a very good pony, so it shouldn't be too big of a problem.
anyone know where to go where summer doesnt make you want to die? lol.. 110 is too much for me, id prefer 70s... riding in the summer and fall is not easy to do. imagine being a working student in that heat... with over 55 horses on the yard.. how do you not come home and pass out from that? lol
"Hello fall, goodbye flies!" *evil laugh*
Lol
And hello crickets
Not at my local ranch! :)
Winter is so weird. Can't feel your legs, can't feel your feet but somehow it still feels like your being stabbed every time you get off.
Lol yes ma’am

About 65 and cloudy, but not rainy!
For me it's 50-70 degrees.
That's the same thing for me!
I learned my lesson riding in the hot weather when I had heat stroke last summer. I would not recommend riding if it’s above 85.
"mm...do you know what a riders tan is?" haha so relatable :D
Oh so true : I ride when it's not too hot, not too cold, not to windy, not too rainy ... well, not very often indeed 😂

Fall is defo the best season to be riding- in my opinion. Perfect temperature, No flies, no bees, Perfect.
Don’t forget all the pretty colors when trail riding through a woods ❤ it’s not hot enough to wear tank tops, but not cold enough to wear winter jackets. I love long sleeve weather
I love this video! And I was saying fall and spring are best because of no fly's
PS: thanks for the likes

Very funny. It made me think of Miss Congeniality "Describe your perfect date". haha.
Freaking love your videos & Tucker is the coolest horse ever!!😊
I no longer feel old at the ankles moan.
Winter has just ended here in Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺... 🤣@ 2:10 haha YEP! That was me!
I felt those ankles in winter
Good Morning and Happy Friday : )
The “oh my ankles!” Is too relatable
1:32 lmao all spooked horses get their seasonal stall rest 😂
Lol how are so many of these word for word what I have said even though I don’t have a horse lol great job once again!
just wanted to say i love ur channel :)) (while im early)
Currently coming out of a long, cold winter here in UK thank goodness!
Spring and summer are my fave months 🐴❤️
Love your videos!! Working on my equestrian knowledge and your helping me so much❤️
This is so relatable 😂
I like the way you ride your horse you are a good rider on your horse

Gonna love this! 👑😍
" Hello fall, GOODBYE FLIES " Legit me every fall
I love your videos, they have helped me so much! Thank you!
Thank for another big ol smile!
I’m pretty sure we can all say, spring is probably the best season to ride in 😂
You are so funny with all your funny videos. I can’t believe that you can actually afford a nice pony like Tuck. Is he an appaloosa?
😄 good one! Throwback to noob rider vids!!!
"Ow! My ancles! Ow Ow! My ancles!!"😂
2:29 ahhh my ankles!
I felt that😂
Ya got that summertime shine ✨
Can we please respect carmella is wearing coats and scarfs and hats and is filming this is summer 😅❤😂
2:26 LITERALLY ME EVERY SINGLE TIME I GET OFF A HORSE!!! Best video ever XD
So true 😂 really made me laugh, thank you!
"Hello fall, goodbye flies.. HUAHAHAHAHAHAHAH 👹👹👹"
2:26 is me when I get off a 15 hand horse after a camp show. Lol
It RARELY snows here maybe every 10 years so I don't have to worry about snow 😂 the lowest it gets is in maybe the 20s or rarely the teens sometimes
2:27 ˋ oh my ankle horse being concerned 👀
👄
Unless you're in florida!!~
Hunting season in England is from December to March.
Haha, loved it!
The grass is opposite for me! In summer it’s dead and dry, but in winter it’s muddy puddles and grass
Guilty about the rider's tan, lol!
Noooooooo not the ankles, I feel the pain from where I'm sitting

Love your buffalo plaid vest, where is it from?
Loved it ! :-)

Oh winter. Time for the alpaca fur socks and gloves and oil skin jacket.
Last summer I had a heat stroke while riding. Definitely not fun, but I didn’t fall off!
I almost never ride in the summer, me and my horse hate heat. We both love winter most
Hahaha so true!!!!

My equestrian terminology:
Summer aka Wet saddle pad season
Fall aka Longest season to exist
Winter aka Bolting season
Spring aka The Best Season
I identify with every single part of this video 🤣😔😭
This is sooooo funny
In my opinion fall and spring are best times to ride
Love this
Oh my Good Gracious Precious Lord! Unfortunately, Ouch! I hope……… this will not be me! Pray for me! That I won’t quit! I surely appreciate any pull! Thank you! 🙈🙈🙈😂🙀🙏🏼💕💕
I love your videos😀
When riding in the winter I can never put on the bridal quickly
The best temperature for me would be anything under 103 🤣🤣
Sometimes I have to wash tails in the morning so after I can’t feel my hands. It hurts so badly!
Non riders:It’s not that hot
Riders:IM GONNA DIE FROM HEAT STROKE AHHHH
Edit:The winter one is way to relatable
how do you know if your new horse needs tight reins or loose reins?
I feel like it just takes time, but I’d just start somewhere in the middle. If your horse starts tossing his head, throwing it down, than maybe ease up a tiny bit, but if he starts getting out of a frame, maybe a little wobbly at the trot or whatever, take more feel of the reigns.
This is so realatable XD
In this heat I just want to go trail riding down a creek or in a lake bareback in a swimsuit.
I barebacked a pony named “River” I almost fell 🧍♀️ But it was fun, but I’m really sore
her recording winter: 😓

What area are you in? Is there a way to pm you?
yep

So true!!!

Why is the blanket breathing?
In my opinion, fall is the best season to ride a horse
Springs the best for rides
How tall is ur horse
You are beautiful and funny
Hall and spring is the best
Does that count as something? xD literally my moto. Frick.
I love the video, but I think Tucker's halter was a bit loose, sitting too far down on his nose. But he is a very good pony, so it shouldn't be too big of a problem.
Jesus loves you all!
