We did this with a rider at the Riding for Disabled coaches' training. The difference was, she started off on the lead and then we had people at each letter of the arena, so as she approached we had to call out the letter repetitively. We were experimenting the way they do it for blind competitors in dressage competitions. It was an 'eye opening' experience!

I just saw this for the first time. Impressive! Seeing as how this started as a dare, you were worried about your surroundings. However, if you could figure out how to safely do a training video, use this as a teaching experience, highlighting the importance of trust between horse and rider. Also, to stress the importance of using all of your senses, instead of just sight. When you can’t see when you’re centered on the horse, you have to rely on feel. Unless you have already done this. Or highlight a local equine therapist stable. Here in Alabama, we have Alabama School for the Deaf and Blind. They have an indoor arena where I think they teach those with disabilities how to ride. Thank you for such informative videos. One of these days, I’m gonna learn to ride.

If I am going to be completely honest she is so brave for doing this bc I would not be able to do this with my horse bc she is very spooky and I have only had her for 2 months so she is not really used to me and would most likely buck me off, so I don't think she is getting enough credit for her bravery.
