It came up in discord during a toy conversation and a friend got really excited so I immediately go to ebay-like websites and I found the exact one. Gave it to them for their birthday along with a birthday card with a screenshot of what they said about it. They suspected nothing and couldn't stop laughing after opening. It was amazing.

i tried getting my MD oc a custom plush from buddies, but they messed it up horribly, so please be cautious with what your ordering from them ( i’m literally terrified of the plush they sent me, and i have to put in in a literal trash bag so i don’t see it )
The good but also bad thing with buddies is that they try to replicate the artstyle of the reference they get as close as they can. So if the reference you give has "bad" art, they'll replicate it. And not every artstyle looks good as a plushie. I'd recommend making a plushie friendly reference using a template or commissioning someone to make the reference for you

So here is something demoralizing" type of thing. I have to disagree with you. I have bought movable mouth animal masks off of the amazon and have been quite happy with them. Now I am very picky on what I buy and I am going into it knowing that the masks are of a low quality. A good example would be my poodle fursuit that I am very happy with. I wanted to see what is the cheapest partial fursuit that I could put together but still to have it look acceptable by furries. Well I ended up spending $35 and having furs saying that they thought that I spent around a thousand dollars on it when I asked them what they thought I spent on it, and this was well before the pandemic hit and fursuits went up into stupidly high prices. If you are going into it knowing you are getting sub par quality and are happy with that then go for it.
